‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Omnibus Bill Wasn’t Enough, Ryan Shafting Us Again

January 12, 2016

It may be true that American voters have a memory span that is measured in blinks of an eye juxtaposed to lasting remembrances, but does the Republican establishment really think the voters are stupid? I’m talking about the Republicans’ contemptible display of theater pursuant to passing a bill to repeal obamacare. Let me explain. I’ll talk about their pretense of sending a bill to defund Planned Parenthood to Obama in another writing.

In 2009 I was told through back channels that Republicans were not going to make obamacare a cornerstone argument during the 2010 elections. I was subsequently told by one of the RNC Chairman at the time, Michael Steele’s senior staff, the Republican strategy for that election did not include aggressively campaigning against obamacare.

In fact: “The Republicans refused to use obamacare as reason for change in Congress during the 2010 elections because they were afraid of how the media would portray them.” (See: Boehner and Republicans Are Helping Obama Destroy America; newdailyrant.wpengine.com; June 1, 2012)

The Republican establishment led by Karl Rove directed talking points told We the People nothing could be done to derail obamacare until Republicans won the Senate. I remind you that this was their claim after we helped them secure a commanding majority in the House of Representatives. Which is of note because the House controls the budget and spending.

In 2013 immediately after we helped Republicans secure their dream of being the majority in the Senate – the Senate voted 81-18 to join with the House of Representatives in passing the “continuing resolution” (CR) for Obama that fully funded the government including the implementation of obamacare. “In the Senate, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, a key architect of the CR that [funded] obamacare, led […] 27 Republicans who joined with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in voting for it.” (See: 87 House and 27 Senate Republicans Vote for CR Funding Obamacre; Terence P. Jeffrey; cnsnews.com; 10/17/2013)

Then as a “Merry Christmas Up Yours” House Republicans, led by Speaker Paul Ryan, with urgency of speed virtually only witnessed by Congress when they are trying to ram-rod something through before the public can mount full opposition, passed a $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill that included funding for Planned Parenthood. An omnibus-spending bill that I should point out further entrenched obamacare. (See: Merry ‘Up Yours’ From Paul Ryan and Republicans; newdailyrant.wpengine.com; 12/22/2015)

Now after six years and three election cycles of doing everything possible to ensure obamacare remained the law of the land including: “[Former] Rep. Eric Cantor’s attempt to deceive We the People with phony legislation making it appear Republicans had fought to defund obamacare when in fact they had been responsible for funding it.” (See: Republicans Now Are Out Of Excuses; Mychal Massie; WND.com; 11/20/2014) – Ryan wants us to believe Republicans are suddenly serious about repealing obamacare.

Now, after obliging Obama in every possible way, the Republicans want us to sit up and applaud like Pavlovian seals at their most recent attempt to deceive us? Are we supposed to believe that they stumbled upon a mystical wizard who suddenly imbued them with spines and honesty?

This supposed bill to repeal obamacare is nothing more than a canard designed to obfuscate the truth. The truth being that they are a feckless, do-nothing, sellout to Obama at every opportunity, cabal of pusillanimous self-interested frauds and traitors.

This move and the subsequent attempts to divert attention for political gain is a unambiguous attempt to deceive voters again. We have given them opportunity after opportunity to honor their word; this fallacious attempt at magnanimity is as transparent as a clean window on a sunny day and we must not fall for it. Specific to same, it is beneath the pale even by their morally opprobrious standards, to actually believe the American people, specifically conservatives, are to be treated with such transpicuous disrespect.

We don’t need more of their same old tricks. We need new leadership that will do what they promise. We need leadership who upon their first day in office will take their pen and strike down every one of Obama’s executive orders. We need leadership who understands they must also disempower the agencies responsible for implementing Obama’s executive orders. We need leadership who on their first day in office will take their pen and begin the process of dismantling and repealing obamacare.

We do not need more of the same tricks and lies designed to mislead us so they can retain power and prestige at our expense. I say thumbs down to you Paul Ryan, Karl Rove, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, and the rest of the pro-amnesty, big government, obamacare frauds masquerading as responsible representatives of We the People.
