We deliver straightforward, truthful conservative Christian opinion.  We reach all people with the truth, never changing it based on race or skin color.

A Simple Solution

There’s no criteria to which anyone is held to serve in Congress, which is why the evidence suggests the place is flooded with room-temperature IQ’s. Not a litmus test, an exam of qualifications, much less ongoing education serves as a requirement.

If you get paid to shear a poodle, you need a license.

You also need a license to sell insurance, sell cars, serve liquor, own a restaurant, practice medicine and law, or sell stocks and bonds. People need to be certified to cut someone’s hair, a permit is necessary to hold a parade or host a large picnic in a public park.

Licensing is required to run a day-care facility, to teach school, to run a dog kennel, to own a lawn care service, and to operate certain large equipment, and many of these professions require continuing education classes in order to remain in good stead with regulators, but you know what?

There’s no criteria to which anyone is held to serve in Congress, which is why the evidence suggests the place is flooded with room-temperature IQ’s. Not a litmus test, an exam of qualifications, much less ongoing education serves as a requirement.

Mull that one over for a minute and then ponder the question as to why the country is approaching the brink of bankruptcy at MACH One. Yes there are lawyers and doctors in Congress as well as people from all types of backgrounds, but were they skilled at what they did? Are they accomplished individuals or did they simply win a popularity contest over someone less appealing? Do they have any background or acumen in finance or did they run their very own household with economic irresponsibility?

The answer would appear to be a resounding “NO!” That translates into if you’re part of the problem you categorically are not part of the solution, and in no way capable of understanding what confronts the country from an economic standpoint much less able to cure it. The hard core reality is that Congress is composed of bad parents and they do not possess the ability to police themselves, though they are more than willing to “police” hard working Americans, and therein lies an incredible hypocrisy as well as an exposition of all that is wrong with the leadership, or lack thereof.

There is no leadership at all in Washington, and to quote Frank Zappa: nobody looks good wearing brown lipstick. Aside from Minnesota electing a former professional wrestler as governor, they sent Al Franken to Washington as Senator to belong to the most exclusive 100 member club in the world. Al doesn’t remember me, but I know him, and to pull up another quote from non-other than Thomas Henderson: Al couldn’t spell cat if you spotted him the “C” and the “T”.

It’s too easy to pick on President Barack Hussein Obama, so let’s try a change of pace and discuss John Beohner, a man who purportedly grew up with a saloon running father, who was a football hero, and who somehow under mysterious circumstances became the Speaker of the House. How so? For crying in front of cameras? For golfing with a wayward president. For cutting backroom deals that betray his party? Give me a break!

I wouldn’t go into combat with a man who weeps on cue nor would I concede any precedence to him as a leader, much less would I support his weakness, yet that’s what his puppy-child Eric Cantor does along with him, and they do so under the guise of leadership.

What on earth is going on here? And Colonel West loses his bid for re-election because he wanted to treat his constituents as a stern parent?

A spoiled child will remain a spoiled child until such time that child hits the wall of responsibility, and it is not in the offing in this country with the cooked spaghetti backbones of Republicans competing in a fencing match with rope in hand, and here’s why the vortex is about to suck us under, and I’ll make it simple and basic.

You can’t spend more than you make and remain viable as a household, so why would anyone expect a country could operate differently? Moreover, nobody would allow their neighbor to raid their cupboard, so why the acquiescence to pay benefits for squatters, and, while we’re on the subject, here’s another simple question: why reward criminals?

There would be no need to establish a minimum wage level if the country wasn’t flooded with illegal aliens working for cash. There would be no need to increase the entitlement of Medicaid if people who were here illegally were not drinking the well dry, and there would be no need to cut the benefits to senior citizens at the expense of paying for foreigners if someone in Washington had the temerity to speak the truth.

The fact is there is a fear of the truth, and there is nobody on the horizon to stare Mr. Hussein Obama in the eye and tell him the game is over. It is not a time to accommodate hooliganism, it is a time to confront it. It is not a time to enable criminals, it is a time to send them packing. It is not a time to stand pat and try to be liked; there has never been a bigger demand for leadership.
Between the Arab-kissing energy policy of this president and the unexpected circumstances of a drought, we can expect drastically higher energy prices in the coming year combined with increased food costs and a cake iced with additional taxes thank to Obamacare. That means inflation during a recession, and I’m hard pressed to find anything in the annals of economic history that rivals such an absurd confluence of circumstances.

I can’t make the numbers work, but I can suggest a solution: it’s time to act like adults!

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect
with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?

This societ/culture is not aiming at raising ANYONE up to become mature, in fact the opposite is absolutely true, we are ‘aimed’ at making EVERYONE dependent. I have a 16 y.o. son who is so confused by the laws, regulations, and definitions of an adult that he, and I, are nearly quite crazy! In Illinois a homeschooling parent cannot teach their own off spring how to drive, although we must RIDE with them for 75 hours if they are inroled in the state school driver’s ed. so he cannot get his permit until he is 17 and 3/4! He could get married at 18 but not make his own decisions about drinking alcohol until 21 or purchase a HAND gun but he can take gun safety class and participate in YOUTH HUNTING at 9, and buy a shot gun at 18 or enlist in the military where those young MEN of 18 can do most all those things! and yet in the public school most of the kids are recklessly doing these things and many more by the ENCOURAGMENT of the EDUCATIONAL CULTURE! (and it is even worse at the college level!!) OH WAIT!! It’s not us that’s crazy, It’s THEM!!

YES – common sense to me! I have a friend who voted for Nobama because her son is on disability. I said, seriously??? If we weren’t giving money to people who do not need it including to illegals, there would be more for your son and the others who DO need it. I just don’t know what to say anymore…

On a related side note, I wish everyone would stop calling SS and Medicare entitlements – they were paid into (forcibly I might add). Welfare and Medicaid are the entitlements – good grief!

My conclusion…call and write all republican congressmen and senators, inform them that we will be removing them from office. We will vote democratic to do so. As they are homogenized anyway into a party of greed and corruption. This will remove them from office and end their phony R behind their names. They have one chance, listen to us and cut funding to the government until cuts are made and Obamacare is removed, the EPA power and DOJ and HLS powers are removed. Stand with american taxpaying patriots or be fired in 2014. The RNC should quake at the thought and get in line with the peoples will.

Your conclusion ring true in my mind, what little there is of it, and it is also a really nice dream. Our political system is all a game of three card monte, and the People never win unless it is to sucker them into more complacency. The Sheeple say, throw the bums out, but not our bums!
      Makes me want to puke!

You are so very right, Dan. Thank you!! Everyone who is granted a job must fill out education level and work history before being considered for most jobs. I had to fill out an application to teach Speed Reading to GI’s and their families. I had some formal education and knew how to read so I got the job. I didn’t have to provide college transcript or provide evidence that I was capable of teaching!! I was prepared but never asked!! I’m also thinking of the many Czars who were “appointed” and do not have any education much less work history to hold such titles. For instance, California Water Czar does not have ANY education or training in water management whatsoever! What’s with the Faith Czar who is a political black activist. He has a dergee in Black Nationalism (?) and is anti-gun ownership lobbysist. What does a Faith-Based Czar do? It’s a pity that even the president was never held to checks and balances. We don’t know for sure if he is an American because his education records are not allowed to be made public! And, we wonder why and how the American Government has rotted at the core. I think you hit on spot why most of it has happened.

  8. Kwatz December 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm #

Two things, first, you get better at this every week and, second, you have to write more than once a week. Then again, if you wrote too often, you might become more than a small blip on the radar of the regime’s thought police.

It is so true. The people in charge of our government are, to a large extent, wastes of skin. Consider for a moment, the “leaders” of the democrat party. Obama, Reid and Pelosi. There hasn’t been a more inept trio since Larry Curly and Moe. They posses that lethal combination of a lack of ethics, an overabundance of undeserved ego and an insatiable thirst for power. Now don’t get me wrong, the democrats don’t have sole claim to all the corrupt idiots in DC. Boehner ranks right up there. Boehner’s biggest problem isn’t that he is a head like a foot or that his head is so swollen he has to enter a door sideways. No, his biggest problem is he has balls the size of garbanzo beans. In his first interview after the catastrophic election, he wastes no time kissing Obama ass. Tax increases, on the table. Obamacare, the law of the land. He hates conservatives. He did his best to defeat them and, if they survived, relegated them to the congressional equivalent of a Siberian gulag. After his recent power-grab in the House, the GOP leadership is flush with Boehner butt-monkeys. They are being run by McCain/Graham equivalents when they need Reagan/West types.

One thing all the clueless politicians believe is, they think the deficit isn’t their problem. It didn’t start with them and it would jeopardize reelection possibilities if they tried to do something real about it. I read a story a while back about a once wealthy man. They asked him how he went broke. He said, “At first very slowly, then really fast.” That reminds me of our country. The problem we are facing is that we are in the “really fast” stage. Gone are the days when we can pass it forward. The cost of servicing our debt will soon become one of the largest expense items in the budget and it will grow at a geometric rate unless serious measures are taken to reduce the principal. Yet, the first salvo fired by Obama in the fiscal cliff skirmish had no mention of spending cuts, a pittance of a tax increase designed only to incite class warfare and a NEW stimulus package. WTF?

HUGE things are about to happen, none of them good. This anemic economy is about to face a big tax increase. The consequences of the fed throwing trillions into the money supply (QE 1,2 and 3) are about to manifest. The Eurozone is foundering. The China express has derailed or at least detoured onto a spur line. Bad guys around the globe have no fear of the US because our president is clueless. I remember the crash of 87. I did some active options trading in my own account for a few days and made ten times my money. At that time we were facing yet another budget impasse. Politics were very contentious. I thought that if there was anything that could finally get these warring parties to work together, the near collapse of the financial system should be it. So, I took my pile and bet it all on the prospect that congress would work together, come to an agreement, Wall St would like it and stocks would go up. I guess you know, I didn’t have to pay taxes on my gains that year. I had a learning experience (in case you didn’t know, the term “learning experience” means someone lost money). The lesson is, if you want to make money, always assume politicians will do what keeps them in office and invest accordingly. Obama just invited his favorite groups to the White house to discuss the financial situation. The Unions, Move On and other leftist groups all came to tell their bought and paid for lapdog that we aren’t really spending too much and that the rich don’t have enough skin in the game blah blah blah, and he couldn’t agree fast enough. Does anyone out there think that we AREN’T going to go over the cliff? The few that have the integrity and intention to tackle the tough issues are hated by the democrats and the GOP “leaders” equally and aren’t a party to the talks. As much as I want to be optimistic, history is telling me to hang on, it is going to be a rough ride.

  9. Owen K. December 3, 2012 at 11:56 am #

Great post Dan. Right on target. There will be a spineless “compromise” by the Republican “leadership.” By compromise, I mean that they will give in to Obama’s demands sent to them by his lacky, Timmy boy.

  10. Brother Steve December 3, 2012 at 11:45 am #

Your analogy of American government officials not being licensed is spot-on. I’ve never looked at it that way before, so it was an eye-opener for me.

As you speak of here, one of the biggest problems in America is debt. It all started with LBJ’s Great Society in 1964. That set of programs was supposed to eliminate poverty. Now, after $16.7 trillion being spent on various welfare programs since, poverty still exists. Not only that, the Great Society programs created an entire multi-generational sub-culture of parasitic deadbeats who are financially rewarded each month for not working and giving birth to illegitimate children.

Add to this huge debt the billions of dollars given to the millions of illegal immigrants you speak of. FOX News ran an article two years ago explaining that the US spends $113 billion a year on illegal immigrants. That figure has no doubt increased since.

The US Office of Management and Budget reported that for every dollar the government spends, 50 cents is borrowed money. And much of that debt is owed to foreign countries, with 26% owed to Communist China.

When Russia was a communist nation we never allowed Russian businesses to flood our retail markets with their goods. We never borrowed money from Russia. In those days, we had missiles pointed at them and they at us. They were our enemies because they were Godless communists and we were known as a nation built on Christian principles.

But today, we allow Communist China to make many billions of dollars by flooding our markets with cheaply made and priced goods. Also, 26 percent of our total indebtedness is money borrowed from Communist China. Simply put, for every dollar spent by the clueless clowns in Washington, half of it is borrowed. From that money, a fourth of it was borrowed from China.

For the Democrats, the subculture of deadbeats and illegal immigrants represent millions of votes. For those of us who work for a living, they represent a very heavy millstone around our collective neck.

But, all one needs to do is look at what is happening in Spain and Greece to see what awaits America. As you wrote, a person cannot maintain a household if they are spending more than they receive. When China and other foreign countries stop loaning America money, it is going to get really ugly. When the US government no longer has the money to reward America’s deadbeats, all hell is going to break loose.

    • Bill Sr. December 3, 2012 at 12:54 pm #

      Brother Steve
      Peace to you,
The hell of which you speak is none other than the New World Order to which our own stealth ruling class elitists willingly subscribed to years ago. Think about it.
Do you believe our elected officials have been paying any attention to the “will of the people”, or spending our tax dollars and private donations to secure their positions, add to their huge retirement benefits, and become millionaires?
Have you seen any real resistance, other than the Tea Party which has now been labeled a domestic terrorist group, anywhere among our noble public servants in Washington in recent years to the obvious onslaunt of a well funded secular progressive nurturing of Marxist socialism?
Have you noticed that any public voicing of dissent against this deadly agenda to bring America to its knees financially or the media scourging of our Christian values and the absolute current day trashing of our Constitution and the rule of law by the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Holder, Sebelius led by the almighty dictator of doctrine Obama himself is met with immediate and relentless ridicule and demonization?
The Template of Tyranny has been put in place by default before our very eyes and if any have not yet realized public discourse of and by itself will not change the course we are on or hinder the advance of what is truly the culture of death for the soul of America it won’t do you any good to whistle Dixie anymore because even it has disappeared from our cherished heritage.

  12. Sharri Slater December 3, 2012 at 4:02 pm #

I guess I love Mychal becuase he always expresses my very thoughts. I have always felt that I don't have to have any more respect for a college title than I do for a hard working man with life experiences without a college title. Those in Congress and the Senate, most have never held a regular job in their life. Some are born in to politics with a silver spoon. Others have just been placed by buddies in crime. That ole saying not what you know but who you know. Those in congress are no more adequate to run this country than the hard working man. In fact, some are simply groupies playing follow the leader with the loudest voice. They are cowards, clueless, greedy for a handout of tax dollars from the hard working man, or just brain dead being pulled around by the nose. The others are in cahoots with crime making backroom deals at our expense. At this point, do we really need a government? Without the government, the illegals would disappear without their handout, and the moochers would have to work. Without the government, we could save for our own retirement. We would not need to pay for a license to work a job that can be easily learned on the job. Most jobs that require a license can be learned while working, eliminating the cost of school and license, such as X-ray Tech, or Real estate, etc. I admitt some positions do require special training, but there is no better training than on the job. Government makes laws to take our money anyway they can. If there were no automobiles, would we have to have a license to use our horse and buggy? Would we have to pay to register our buggy? I'd rather ride my horse on a dirt road I don't have to pay for, a road that belongs to everyone, a road that has compact as a road from evryones use. That's my take on government. Guess I should have beenin a born a different time in history.

Mychal, You Sir have certainly hit the nail squarely on the head. And don’t feel bad, NO ONE can make the numbers work! Not the numbers that our nation currently has on its ledger book.

But now I too can suggest a solution! It’s not only time to act like adults, but time to bring those in our Congress to the same realization!

Please click on the link below. Mychal, this is a link to a petition that I am sure that a lot of your readers are familiar with. To my knowledge this petition was started in 2011, and it has received no reply from any member of our Congress that I am aware of at this current date. Well it’s time to give them their second notification and final warning. This nonsense has got to stop! Please at least read the petition that is available for signature at the link below.

A media complicit with the Marxist regime that makes up most of DC is one of the big problems we have. There is no one holding them responsible. Massive greed and power is the driving force of these masterminds, and as long as they can unilaterally regulate us and skim for themselves wealth, it will take people with real character to be elected.

It will take educated citizens and a vocal party to take back the country. The GOP is even incapable of speaking out on voter fraud.

  18. Jeanne Ballard December 3, 2012 at 2:57 pm #

And Baby Boehner just got reelected to speak for the House./ What no one there has a backbone? Naw Allen West left.

  19. Viola Baker Antwine December 3, 2012 at 2:27 pm #

This nation really needs a good stern 'parent' that knows how to administer 'tough love' so we can hold all CITIZENS responsible for their actions. All those who are here illegally should be sent home. If you came here illegally and had a child here, feel free to take that child(ren) with you. Then go through the proper process to return as a citizen. It's not right that anyone born here is automatically a citizen if their mother was here illegally. If I break into the White House and give birth there, does that make my child the President of the United States?

    • Kristen KatieMonster Snow-White December 3, 2012 at 3:32 pm #

"If you break into the White House and give birth your child would NOT be POTUS! I suggest planning ahead and having that baby in a hut in Kenya!" she said, OooOzing sarcasm!

  20. Bob Whittaker December 3, 2012 at 9:07 am #

Article made me smile as I was in that same thinking mode about 30 years ago and it is great to see someone else is thinking the same way too.
Due to the failure of today’s’ educational system in the USA acting like adults is not a solution to our national problems as everyone 18 years of age and older are considered adults. Even suggesting that we act like mature adults isn’t viable either as far to many of them are just as ignorant as the young adults.
Education is the key to citizen accountability. Start removing or combining some of the curricula that is being taught in our public and private schools today. Reading, writing and arithmetic are vital as is knowing the history of our country.
Introducing and creatively combining citizenship responsibilities into all four of the mentioned curricula should help produce responsible citizens.
However the key to education is to keep it out of the hands of government officials who want to use it brain-wash the students into following their political agenda.
It seems that Private schools that teach in a manner that leads its students towards being responsible citizens and adults have a waiting list and parents are willing to pay to assure their children have a big step-up over those coming out of the public schools.

Call your Congressmen people and DEMAND they "DO THE RIGHT THING" and that isn't spending more money!

    • dan bubalo December 3, 2012 at 10:21 am #

      So simple, and so perfect.

(ya can’t spend two when you’re only makin’ one)

    • gunter December 3, 2012 at 10:52 am #

Calling your Congressmen is simply pi**ing into the wind. These fools only care about their constitents when it’s time to bs them once again so they can get re-elected.
I don’t know what the answer is, short of revolution, to get their attention. I’ve heard countless times about 1 or 2 terming them and out they go, and I’m totally in agreement with that approach. But, everyone knows that action requires a vote of approval from the very guys we want to push out the door, so you know where that is going.
People are getting frustrated with DC and everything it stands for. Basically, because what it stands for are not in the best interests of the people.

So, there you have it. We hate the way our government is being run and don’t have a cure for changing it. We are held hostage by elected jerks and can’t get rid of them fast enough to have any impact on our problem. Plus, and here is the BIG PLUS, we are populated with way too many ignorant voters that exacerbate the problem, rather than curing it.
I’m just an average Joe, but one that is ready to join forces with others that have common sense solutions to this virus. Anybody out there have the answer? I’m all ears!

      • dan bubalo December 3, 2012 at 1:20 pm #

        Many do, gunter.

We simply don’t live on the east or west coasts.

  22. Bill Sr. December 3, 2012 at 8:56 am #

    Very good Dan,
Let me add that as responsible adults we ought to know our God of mercy, who has been greatly offended by our lack of appreciation for the abundant blessings attained by these United States as a result of our original dedication to His law of love for our fellow man, in order to save us from our moral self destruction must and will permit a just chastisement upon us which the reelection of Barrack Hussein Obama is sure to hasten into fulfillment. In other words, truly mature minds function properly only when guided by a devout Christian conscience. Peace to all and keep the faith.
