‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Ben Carson's Thin-Skin

August 27, 2015

I don’t doubt for an instant that Ben Carson is a pleasant man, a good neighbor, and a phenomenal doctor, but he isn’t running to be recognized as a “nice man” – he is running for President of the Untied States.

Ben Carson is not above the same critique and critical examination that all candidates should expect to receive. The fact that his campaign tries to bully journalists into silence by having Carson’s minions spam us with vitriol similar to that the Obama minions used in 2008.

Friday, August 21, at approximately 4pm eastern time I received a phone call from Maurice Atkinson of Macon, Georgia. Atkinson indicated that he was part of Carson’s campaign and he was livid to the point of barely being coherent. He was furious with me because of a YouTube video I had done titled “Ben Carson Doesn’t Get It.”

Suffice it to say he and I had a very terse and intense conversation.

Carson doesn’t get a pass from scrutiny. I find it interesting that as critical as I have been of Jeb Bush, Karl Rove, John Kasich, Lindsay Graham, Bobby Jindal, George W. Bush, Carly Fiorina, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Mitt Romney, John McCain, John Cornyn, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, et al, only Carson’s campaign telephoned me protesting that I dared to speak negatively about him. Only Carson’s campaign launched an orchestrated attack by his minions calling me names and attempting to insult me.

But wait a minute I’m wrong; there were three others who tried to bully me into silence. The first was the chief of staff for former Senator Lincoln Chafee, D-RI. He called me to chastise me for comparing the liberal Chafee to the late Senator Ted Kennedy. At that time I was also still doing talk radio and I said I would give Chafee any amount of time he wanted to come on my show and explain how he and Ted Kennedy differed. The conversation ended shortly thereafter and I heard nothing else from him.

There was also Obama who in February 2005 sent a personally signed birthday card to my residence in Pennsylvania, which referenced my child and family by name. Obama at the time was still in Chicago and had been a U.S. Senator for exactly one month. He tried to intimidate me because I had written a syndicated column entitled “Darth Democrat” exposing his horrific record of abortion support and the lies he was telling to cover same up.

There was also the Congressional Black Caucus who called my office in 2006 to complain about my daring to expose them. They were told I was out of the office but that I would be very happy to discuss why what I said wasn’t true when I returned. Not only did they not return their call but neither did they take my calls when I tried to reach the Congresswoman who had called.

But unlike Chafee and the Congressional Black Caucus, only Obama had his minions attack journalists calling them names and accusing them including myself of telling lies about him. That was a tactic used by the Obama campaign and now it is being employed by the Carson campaign.

Carson’s minions have launched attacks against others, most notably Dr. James David Manning host of The Manning Report. They remove people from Carson’s social sites if they dare disagree with him or make what they determine to be negative comments.

Carson is running for the highest office in the United States of America and the free world. We have the right and the duty to question and challenge comments he makes. Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and Rick Perry have not shown such a thin skin and lack of fortitude, Trump’s non-politically correct responses to Megyn Kelly notwithstanding.

Carson needs to stop showing how thin his skin his. We’ve had enough of thin-skinned make believe leaders who are not qualified for the job they hold.

I don’t make up what Carson says; the words come out of his mouth. Attacking me for drawing conclusions pursuant to his comments is what those like me are supposed to do. It is up to the voters to make decisions from there.

Carson’s campaign having swarming numbers of his minions attack my sites because they deem me an enemy does nothing but drive my numbers sky high, which is good for me (I’ll have to remember to thank them for that).

I was right about Karl Rove’s agenda, I was right about Obama in 2003 when I first started warning people about him, I was right about Romney, and I was right about Frank Luntz’s focus groups to mention but a few.

I had no axe to grind with Carson and I still do not. But I will not be frightened off or prevented from doing my job because a candidate has a thin skin. I will continue to do the job people have trusted me to do for 20 plus years whether thin-skinned politicians like it or not.
