The Catholic Church: We Must Stand With Them

I’m going to make an extraordinarily provocative statement, but I wouldn’t bet against my not being right. I do not believe the Catholic Church will prevail against Obama’s objective to destroy organized religion as we know it.

Many will attack me for saying that Obama is out to destroy organized religion, including the Catholic Church as we know it, that’s their prerogative – nothing dissuades me of same. Obama may not be a card carrying Communist, but let there be absolutely no doubt, he is as Communist as they come. The media can can claim otherwise, but that doesn’t make him any less of a Socialist. W.E.B. DuBois didn’t become a card carrying Communist until he was 93 years old, but he held and espoused Socialism his entire life.

Communist philosophy places all power over the people in the hands of the state, i.e., the government. The church interdicts that advocating people answer to God and obey biblical precepts, and as such it is a direct threat to the control of government. And as with any dictatorial construct, all threats must be removed and eliminated.

Marx himself said: “Communism differs from all previous movements in that it overturns the basis of all relations of production and intercourse, and for the first time consciously treats all natural premises as the creatures of hitherto existing men, strips them of their natural character and subjugates them to the power of the united individuals.” In brief he was saying no power but state power, no authority but state authority.

There is no way Obama hasn’t done polling and focus study groups on the issue of forcing Catholic hospitals and charitable groups to participate in contraception programs, and by default abortion vis-a-vis Obamacare. It’s a safe bet that his findings revealed a growing ambivalence and discontent by Catholics for the Churches’ stance on birth control. Thus he believes there is tepid support at best, amongst the younger Catholics for the the contraceptive position of the Church.

The Catholic Church will be forced to obey Obama’s edict or close their doors, and I personally believe Obama would step in to take over the facilities if the Catholic Church moved to close. The argument would not be to big to fail, but rather to necessary to fail.

You may not agree with what the Catholic Church teaches or even how it practices it faith, but it without question is one of the most significant (read: powerful, influential) churches. If Obama is able to force aside the fundamental beliefs of the Catholic Church, he will next set himself to attack evangelical churches at their very core. We will see attacks and court battles pursuant to what is permissible to be taught/preached in the church, under hate speech laws and discrimination laws pursuant to employment.

You may be saying to yourself that I’ve lost it on this one – you may be saying I’m engaging in the worst kind of fear mongering and/or conspiracy mongering. But ask yourself this – if Obama isn’t thinking what I’m predicting, why force the Church’s hand to begin with? He hasn’t forced the hands of his business friends. They’ve been given permission to not participate in his healthcare program.

MYCHAL MASSIE RECOMMENDS:

This is one of the most important moments in Christendom since Luther nailed a note on the Wittenburg Church door. We cannot allow the Catholic Church to fight this battle alone – every denomination and every Believer must rise in support of this Church. Even if the Catholic Church were to prevail, this time – precedent would be established and just as with abortion and homosexual marriage, through repeated court battles, they will eventually triumph.

When organizations take government money, that ultimately means they must do what government says. You can’t dine with the devil and not get ashes in your food. If we don’t act today, tomorrow will be to late.

I have a temporary solution 2 this problem: I grew up Catholic & have respect 4 their beliefs. The catholic church is loaded! I think they should do like some states have done and stop taking Federal money. Then they can do as they please! Just a thought!

    • Mychal March 5, 2012 at 9:43 pm #

jcbogle2: I have long opposed churches and private schools taking government money…they take the money at the sacrifice of their rights…states are in the same peril…

  2. Guy March 3, 2012 at 3:38 pm #

Well, stand with them on what and for what?
This is a false religion, an enemy of the Truth, a church leading billions in idolatrous worship… Where does the Bible ask us, followers of Jesus Christ to “stand with” heretics and idolaters?

Yes, our turn will soon come; we will be attacked as well! Our so-called liberties and rights will be at risk; but our Lord is omnipotent… and He is the only source of hope and assurance for true believers!

    • Mychal March 4, 2012 at 6:44 pm #

guy: I tell you what…you turn your back and let obama attack them…and when obama comes after your faith we’ll see who stands w/ you…I condemn you for using this rant to attack where no attack was warranted…

U believe this is a false religion. So what. The bottom line is that they have a RIGHT in America 2 those beliefs. I don’t want anyone 2 be subject 2 the Federal Govt & lose their freedoms. It may start here but it will bleed over 2 the “real” religion u practice. We must stand 4 the People’s Constitutional Rights!

Years ago I attended a fairly large Christian Church. They had a large congregation and lots of programs for all ages. The minister (and I use the term lightly) was constantly denigrating other churches. They had programs for children on Wednesday nights. Their daughters chose who were “worthy” to be their friends. I took my two daughters and joined a class that the he was teaching. One night the first thing he did was jump on the Catholics. I defended them saying that the Catholics kept the church alive until the Christian movement expanded. “Bill” said that other churches could have done it, that he could have chosen one of them. My response was “He chose the catholics.” His wife was constantly selling things she had made to the members of the church, which she was not supposed to do. One evening she had the trunk of her car open ramping up the sales. She stopped me and said “I hope you’re not going to tell Bill about this.” My reply was, “That’s on your conscience, Marcy, not mine.”

P.S. Someone needs to tell Guy he is nowhere as near to God as he thinks he is or should be.

I hope you don’t call yourself a Christian because you are definitely not one. Jesus expects us to stand with those who are being attacked. The Catholics kept the church alive for centuries. They were murdered, attacked and abused, but they did not give up. Yes, our Lord is omnipotent and He loves us all, the righteous and the sinners.

You are a voice in the wilderness!

    A few things of note:

    1. Obama may not be a card carrying communist, but he was member of a socialist organization.

    See: http://www.wnd.com/2008/10/78945/

    2. Yesterday, it was reported on the radio that the Obama administration threatened Catholic chaplains with “sedition” if they were to read a letter, written by a catholic official, to their congregation criticizing this outlandish Obama act. What more do we need to know?

    3. The Republican’s need to make a stand and come out with a bold statement that under no circumstances will this ruling stand… let Obama sue them for once. Defund HHS and the Justice Department. Wrap these Obama fools up with a thousand documents, lawsuits, and congressional hearings. The time for Congress to fight is NOW!

    • Mychal February 8, 2012 at 10:34 pm #

david: two things: one is that boehner’s idea of fighting back is the same as the capsized cruise liner’s captain’s idea of being the last man off the ship wink-wink and two: read Trevor Loudon’s book “barack obama and the enemies within”…it is the definitive book showing unequivocally obama is a communist…

      • David February 10, 2012 at 12:08 am #

        Mychal–

I call my congressman and Boehner’s office daily to let them know what I think of the lousy job they are doing. Unbelievable that these guys are our current last line of defense against Obama and don’t seem to get it at all.

I have no doubt Obama is a commie and worse. You just said in your article that Obama “may not be a card carrying communist” … so I was just showing that he was a confirmed socialist according to reliable sources.

Keep up the great work, Mychal, if only our “leaders” had the fire-in-the-belly that you do.

        • Mychal February 10, 2012 at 11:59 pm #

david: there is no question that he is a socialist…none whatsoever…and those trying to downplay or deny same are either fools or socialists themselves…as I wrote dubois was a communist his entire life but didn’t officially join the party until he was 93…I guess he wanted to ensure his going to hell…and as I have been saying that boehner saying he will fight for anything is like the captain of the capsized cruise ship saying he had intended to be last one off the ship…

    • sumitch February 10, 2012 at 5:42 am #

I appreciated Senator Grassley’s statement to Obama when he said if the congress won’t do it, I’ll do it myself. Something on the order of “This isn’t a monarchy. That’s not the way we do it here.” Maybe he is one of the few in congress that will stand on his hind legs and fight rather than wet his pants and run.

Those of you who saw this as an attack on the 1st Amendment are dead on target. There are number of issues; separation of church and state and freedom of speech (the Army telling chaplains to keep quiet on the issue) are the two most obvious. IF the 1st Amendment falls, the 4th Amendment is under attack currently, the 2nd Amendment is in the cross-hairs of administration, and the 10th Amendment is also jeopardized by the current occupants, then what happens to the Bill of Rights as a whole? Our entire system of government is under attack. We need as Americans to support the institutions within our nation that are part of the value system we hold sacred; be it the Catholic church, the Mormon church, the various Protestant and Baptist/Methodist demoninations, the Jewish faith as well as others which are the bastion of one nation under God. If people are agnostic or atheist, I don’t care, as long as they believe in the United States and not the principles of the current administration. God bless America and may God damn all those who try to destroy her.

    • Mychal February 8, 2012 at 7:33 pm #

memett: this is tactical communist move…obama has done the polling and believes he can pull it off…remember that obamacare was dead and they got it through…

Hopefully people will see that our bill of rights and our constitution are under attack. We should stand with all people of faith and all opinions and remain firm against this godless administration. I find some comfort seeing that some of his party are publically against this attack on religion. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. All religions except Muslim should band together against this man and his administration. I refuse to recognize the Muslim faith as anything but our enemy.

  9. John McClain February 8, 2012 at 12:15 pm #

I have known since childhood, even as an atheist, man is incapable of establishing a self-governing form of society that is not immediately subject to work of some for the express purpose of taking control of the whole of what such a society will produce to have a better seat, a better meal and a better choice in drunkeness, than those he will assume are lesser than himself.
Except Israel, established by God, and answering to Him directly, every form of state has been ruled by tyrants, and every people have been subjugated by those same people.
The republic established by our forefathers was the only deliberately formed nation and government designed by its citizens for the express purpose of defending the natural rights which self evident truths and natural law showed us, and were recognised only because of the felicity of our founders, and the focus they put on forming a nation whose purpose was for “the best interests of all the citizens”, and recognising they had to form both a government which would adminster this form, and a Law which would be sufficient to dominate and control this government.
History had proven what governments become, no matter how they start out, and the passion of most of the founders was to provide literal chains to “bind the government down with the Chains of The Constitution” as Thomas Jefferson said, but the Constitution only provides such power if it is an unchanging enduring in meaning document, a legal document, and thereby not subject to change except by the deliberate action taken in accordance with the law that it is.
At 54 the government has never been held “under the law” in my lifetime, yet I’ve seen constant and continual change, as it has grown, and now reached a point there is practically no part of it which can be “under the law”, and remain.
The last bastion against government control in our lives has been the bill of rights and while most have been evicerated, the first, defended by the second amendment, defending our Natural and Absolute right to worship freely, has finally been reached. The point where it is the last tie to our principles has come, and half our nation has come to believe it can live off the other half, and define what that other half can do or say.
It is time for us to reiterate, Hitler did not start with the Jews, but with the homeless, the hapless who couldn’t defend themselves, and no one cared to defend them. He vilified people, small groups at a time, until he had the guts to focus on the people who have always provided the fall-back security of what ever nation they lived in at the time – the Jews. He did in fact murder six million Jews, and five or six million other people, all while Stalin was doing much the same.
The only difference now is we have not relinquished our right to keep and bear arms.
We do have a choice, but few seem to face the facts which matter, and note who is the sole dissenter in the belief in government, much less note the fact the government is currently authority unto its self, right now, with no further changes.
We once were an independent, self-driven, rational people, capable of discerning problems, and addressing them with all our force of will. We now appear very much as the German People did in 1939. I reckon some of us will have to die before eyes are opened and real consideration is taken.

This government was never intended to be successful for an atheistic people, nor can it be so. It requires honest voters who would not use the government to steal from their neighbors, and honest leaders who would not use it to enrichen themselves and their cronys. Atheists may not be generally corrupt, but I ask, if there is no God, where does the sense of right & wrong come from? If there is no eternal judgement, where is the brake on evil practices? This is why the Left has worked so hard to drive a wedge between the voters & God. So that we may be corrupted and then robbed. “You can’t cheat an honest man” is very true. Conversely, it’s easy to cheat a larcenous man.

I agree with the fact that obama likely polled a certain segment to gauge the reaction of yet another intrusion into religious freedom, but much of that data depends upon whom was in that sampling for the initial outrage would show the data to be faulty.

His most recent actions with respect to the Catholic Church are audacious, even for him, and I believe he might have over-driven his headlights as all delusional narcissists are won’t to do. It is such an affront it even awakened a “retired” Catholic like me.

“…dine with the Devil, and not get ashes….” That’s one I haven’t heard before. I like it. The Devil is, of course, a totalitarian lefty par excellence. Unfortunately the Catholic Church, along with most mainstream Protestant churches, has been dining with the Devil since the 60′s, at least, and swallowing the “social gospel” tripe — spoon, fork, and knife. America’s churches have long since discarded the colonial church of our forefathers and it’s dedication to strength of character and personal discipline and personal responsibility. Instead we now get a steady dose of ‘feed the poor, comfort the sick (as in Obamacare), etc’ every Sunday. This is no different than the standard socialist gruel that socialist/communist hucksters like obama, et al, are constantly puking up. The church is a better bet for we poor taxpayers, however, since they only want 10%; whereas the stinking govt wants upwards of 60% to fulfill its ‘moral’ obligation to the less fortunate. The state needs the additional 40% to 50% because it has high ‘administrative fees’. Gee, imagine that. As far as I’m concerned. the churches are getting exactly what they deserve for deserting the Bible. Before long, ministers and priests will have to buy a federal license and pass a federal test, to preach. Obama will, no doubt, put one of his godless commie or moslem buddies in as ‘religion czar’! Things are getting funner and funner.

Just a note to point out that the American Public School system has re-written history because it, along with the churches, was infiltrated by the masses of communists who sprang up, like poisonous mushrooms, from our so-called “great American colleges and universities”, in the 60s and 70s with the anti-war movement. Hordes of these communists went into education with the express purpose of destroying American freedom. (Many others became lawyers for the same purpose) The American Public School System has been TOTALLY corrupted by the communist teachers and administrators who overwhelmingly prevail in the system. These people are busy turning future generations of American youth into communist automatons; and unfortunately most Americans are oblivious to the fact; many of the rest consider it a good thing. The best thing “real” Americans can do is to jerk their kids out of public schools and put them in appropriate private schools; or home school them.
BArring that, America will be dead within a generation.

The Obama secularists starting a war with the Pope and the Catholic Church is a sign that the warning from Kruschev in 1956 is in our face toady: “Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will dig you in” . In his subsequent public speech Khrushchev declared: “[...] We must take a shovel and dig a deep grave, and bury colonialism as deep as we can”. In 1963, Khrushchev remarked in his speech in Yugoslavia, “I once said, ‘We will bury you,’ and I got into trouble with it. Of course we will not bury you with a shovel. Your own working class will bury you,”[5] a reference to the Marxist saying, “The proletariat is the undertaker of capitalism”, based on the concluding statement in Chapter 1 of the Communist Manifesto: “What the bourgeoisie therefore produces, above all, are its own grave-diggers. Its fall and the victory of the proletariat are equally inevitable”. Khrushchev repeated this Marxist thesis at a meeting with journalists in the U.S. in September 1959. (From Wikepedia).
This part of Obamacare was brought forth a year ago and no one wanted to hear about it or believe it. Now, the fact lies before us that this POTUS is the first in the history of our country to take away our Constitutional right of Free Speech and Freedom of Religion. This has nothing to do with birth control or healthcare. That is a facade.
All religions around the world should unite with the Pope in this battle between the United States Secular Government and the Catholic Church. Our very lives and the lives of our children depend upon it.

Khrushchev, also said to us (Americans) “your grandchildren will live under Communism.” – Those of us born when he said that, now have young grandchildren – witness how the school system has changed! Do any of these schools still teach the specialness and marvelous of our country! How many of the children are proud to be American any longer!

Mychal, you have nailed it solidly again. No one should make the mistake of thinking that this is just a Catholic issue. The word “catholic” really means universal. This is not solely about Catholic doctrine, birth control issues or even abortion. What is at stake here are the fundamental issues of liberty, freedom and the direct and unequivocal assault on the U.S. Constitution and specifically the First Amendment. The Obama administration has over and over demonstrated its disdain of the Constitution. Ruth Bader Ginsburg has recently stated in so many words that she would not recommend the U.S. Constitution as a model to be emulated by other countries. The liberal/socialist/communists are becoming bolder in revealing their true agenda for this country and citizens.
People may not agree with Catholic doctrine or teachings in their own personal lives and choices however, remember that religious liberty and freedom were one of the principles upon which this nation was founded. If we surrender now this fight we will see an increasingly rapid erosion and ultimately the destruction of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. All liberty and freedom loving Americans need to unite now. This is just the most recent battle front in a long war for the preservation of all of our liberties and rights. We deserve what we tolerate.

dr.j: thk you and right you are about what is at stake…this approach is the way of communists…it is an insult to intelligence that the media and apparatchiks refuse to admit same…they are either lying or ignorant of what communism is and how it works…

I am an atheist who supports a woman’s right to choose, but I consider the US Constitution is the least imperfect document ever devised to guide a state. Without freedom of religion and the moral compass of belief in the God of our fathers, we lose all direction as a nation and become a bleak Soviet Union of mind and spirit.

    • John McClain February 8, 2012 at 11:46 am #

Dear James, I was born into an atheist family, and lived as an atheist until I was compelled to face the spirit which was on my shoulders for years.
During all my 20 odd years as an atheist, I lived on the premise I’d reckognised as a boy of about seven, having read the Constitution, the Declaration and it’s reference to natural law, self evident truths, and the natural rights derived from these ideas, and it was immediately obvious to me, none of what was written in either the Declaration or the Constitution had any power at all, if man were, as my atheism suggested, a natural result of chance interactions of random particles, for in such a universe, no authority can exist.
I accepted the premise of “God” or “a higher power” solely as the only logical means of providing a firm foundation for “authority”, and law which must have it for a foundation.
In the absolute absence of any higher authority than chance and random un-authored existence, nothing which happens can be good or bad, and the very idea of such matters only to those few, miniscule particles which have the capacity for idea, with the law of random meaning nothing at all matters.
I came to believe provisionally in God, because reading the Bible, along with reading Hal Lindsay’s “The Late Great Planet Earth” gave rise to what I felt as a spiritual weight on my shoulders, which increased with every new fact I learned about our world and universe, all suggesting one must truly believe it possible for there to be an infinite number of monkeys somewhere, and somehow provided with an infinite number of typewriters somehow produced, and that “all the written works of man” could indeed be a natural and rational product of randomness.
Even as a born in the Blood Christian, I still believe the nature of our universe demands an authority, even if the only purpose it served was to keep man from continually killing himself off.
What you state, is the same logic which compelled me to hold to the religious and definitively Judeo-Christian principles as fact and undeniable, even as an atheist, just to have any chance of our way of self-governing to possibly continue.
I did not choose to become a Christian to make life easier, but because the longer I lived, the more the world pointed me to God, and the final straw was going to Beirut in the fall of 82, and spending the winter of 82-83 as part of the multi-national peace-keeping force, and the tremendous spiritual presence which I felt from the moment we entered the region, and remained long after I had left.
I have the proper hopes for you, as a Christian, but in the mean time, I hope you are able to articulate just how important it is to “choose to believe” for the purpose of having a sound foundation for the best papers man has ever produced, and the only logical government man has produced, giving God credit for the logic of Israel, as is proper.
      Sincerely,

Thank you for your posts. We must stop paying for the UN agenda and its NWO where everything is homogenized into the common good. America knows God gave people their rights, our nation gave people their rights, we are the only nation where survival depends on retaining those rights. Daily they are legislated away, decided by one man through executive order how the whole shall live, sold and bartered away…all the while using our tax dollars to pay for and enforce our destruction. Choose well who we allow to speak for us.

sunny: hey be gentle w/ him after all he’s giving church one year to decide what they will do…lol…what a soiled diapers he and his contemptible wife are…

          • sumitch February 10, 2012 at 5:37 am #

That may be a challenge that the Catholic church takes on. Didn’t they wage war on a faith much like what he practices for several hundred years? There is a point at which even the weakest will stand and fight.

james saxon: I don’t know how you can hold that opinion and claim to be an atheist…I’m not chiding nor attacking you…I truly don’t..even though I am glad you see same to the extent you do…

    • MrsJB February 8, 2012 at 9:46 pm #

Mr. Saxon, I am a woman and I wondered where the ‘man’ was when my father suggested my abortion, and my boy’friend’ when I killed our baby and grandbaby. Years of depression are standard for women who abort. “A woman’s RIGHT to choose” is liberal spin speak to convince people who don’t want to care that it is OK and gives those who don’t believe in a GOD an excuse to go on pretending there isn’t a God, but those of us who come ‘face to face’ with murdering another human can’t pretend. Stop believing this lie and perpetuating it, for the good of women everywhere. Men, face it, it takes two and a human embryo is a HUMAN. It’s SCIENCE!

mrsjb: I agree w/ you…responsibility isn’t a one way street…if both won’t stand for what is right then one must…thk you for sharing of something so personal…it reinforces what I have long argued…
