Last night on the Leno Show, Obama said, his wife thought he looked old, but that she still thinks he is cute. Well, a lot of people think chimpanzees are cute too, but they can be nasty and as we witnessed many times they are deadly also. And therein lies the rub.
Obama, who is the ultimate “nowhere man” loves to bask in the limelight of “bow before me” interviews and appearances. I understand that Leno could give a rats behind about Obama, and that it’s entirely possible he dislikes the fraud named Hussein almost as much as I do – but Leno is ratings motivated and specific to that point so is the “cute like a monkey” man.
Obama cannot run the country, so like a junior high school girl who finds out little Johnny isn’t taking her to the prom, depressed she does a mall trip – a depressed Obama in need of comfort and feigned adulation heads off to do staged events. He was glib, toothy and all ears as Leno lobbed him questions, that Obama’s illegal aunt could answer.
Here’s my point, we don’t need a clown or comedian for president. If he wants to get smiles and laughs let him get a job as a comedian, doorman, or elevator operator where he is expected to be funny. I know Clinton went on Leno, but at least Clinton: a) was gifted and intelligent politician, b) smart enough to co-opt successful Republican initiatives and take credit for them, claiming the success of the country as his own. Clinton was a serial philanderer, disingenuous, and there is evidence that a part of him that was racially bigoted as well – but he was a consummate politician (a tawdry one notwithstanding), who loved fried chicken and anything in a skirt – whose intellect could be admired, even though it was wasted. But I’m digressing.
America is in trouble and the best Obama can do is play chimpanzee sans the Tarzan set. As noted on this page, he has circumvented Congressional authority, making defacto stimulus bailouts. He has cleared the way for Iran and sharia law to take preeminence in the Middle East. He continues to believe that all he has to do is give a speech, berate a Congressman, print money, raise taxes, blame Bush, and all will be well. Well, the only well there is the one he has driven us into. Can you imagine if Roosevelt, who the News Magazines portrayed Obama as being the second coming of – would have behaved like this. I argue that Roosevelt was an epic failure whose flawed policies are contributing to the peril we find ourselves in today, but at least he had leadership qualities.
We have problems and the best Obama can do is make people dependent on the government for their existence. How will that work for the rest of us, as Hispanics and illegals are having more and more children at earlier ages, who are not finishing school and whose children are not finishing school? Who will pay for them or is that the can to kick down the road? Blacks don’t count, Margaret Sanger’s Progeny have them under control. And the current generation is old enough that Obamacare will handle the rest. Whites will be a problem as well with more and more white males dropping out of school – does he have a plan for that?
As a candidate, Obama had all of the answers. You could have asked him the price of red clay on Mars and he would have had an answer. He pledged to have the most transparent administration ever – and yet yesterday we learned that he was changing existing law to not just undermine the Freedom of Information Act, but to render it of no effect. His Justice Dept. is authorizing lying when requests are made by for information under current Freedom of Information. Is this his idea of transparency or it this one more step to keep his records and information about him sealed and away from public scrutiny? He was hailed as the post racial president, when in fact his Justice Dept. has not just engaged in racially biased behavior, but under Holder with Obama’s approval has codified racially biased and racially selective ways and methods of upholding the law.

Obama promised there would be no lobbyists in his administration. Yet his Super Committee charged with finding $1.2 trillion in cuts over next ten years, that is meeting in secret and not open to public or media scrutiny, is completely open to over 200 paid lobbyists. And Obama doesn’t even blink at it.
We need a leader who realizes that his words impact markets and industry. It was necessary for him to be told in no uncertain terms to stop ridiculing Nevada and Vegas, because he was killing an already suffering city/state. We need a president who understands that talking down reality TV shows can cost more jobs. We need a president demanding the Justice Dept. to stop stonewalling and obfuscating and fully co-operate in Fast and Furious, before more Americans are murdered with government supplied weapons in the hands of criminals.
We don’t need a president taking the equivalent of mall trips vis-a-vis staged political events and a get his feet kissed appearances on Leno to make himself feel good. We need a leader. We need a president who doesn’t mock and berate Americans. If we wanted a comedian as president, we would have gone to The Comedy Club, if we had wanted a preening chimpanzee doing tricks on late night television we would have gone to the zoo. America needs leader, we don’t have time to care what Obama looks like to his wife.

I do not agree with disrespecting our President with comparisons to a monkey and his wife to the likes of a ‘harridan’. However, it is YOUR blog and of course, you do have both the right to speak your mind and to the freedom of speech.
That said, I’ll be one of the first to admit that I originally supported Obama; that’s all, or nearly all, changed. But I do have total respect for him and his family. All of the collective right’s ad hominem gets us NOWHERE. How about we disagree with him while maintaining respect for him, his wife, and his children (the latter who’ve CERTAINLY not done anything to ANYONE)?
Also, while Obama most definitely has made his fair share of mistakes, it’s utter naivety that many people (and I hear it ALL the time) blame the country’s economic woes SOLELY on the President. OF course they do: He’s an easy, convenient target for those too mentally lazy to consider that there ARE ALSO other people in government responsible for the situation we’re in.
How about the do-absolutely-nothing Congress? How about Democrats’ despicable failure to work with Republicans at all? How about Republicans’ utter refusal to compromise on anything whatsoever? How about their very frequently seen arrogance and even contempt for what the majority of America wants (as proven time-and-time again via polls, on numerous issues)?
One of this country’s biggest problems, in the grand scheme, lies in the fact that we have become SO deeply divided along (very superficial) party lines. Americans have been pitted against Americans, so often based on nothing more than one’s self-imposed ‘Dem’ or ‘Rep’ “label”. And that’s WHY America isn’t moving forward, because politicians know and use this mantra (of ‘divide and conquer’) to the fullest extent to further their agendas, as well as careers.

Dear Mychal, while most people would cringe at the comparison rhetoric, the concept is dead on target. We have been raised by the circuses, zoos, t.v. programs and the like to consider chimps to be “almost man”, and “smarter than babies”, and in doing so, the very real line between wild animal and rational capable human is blurred for all who have not experienced this line.
Obama has made all the appearances of being a nice politician, and he has shrugged off the very real comparisons to stalin and hitler, the way chimp appologists suggest that’s chimp’s sudden reaction, with teeth bared, leaping forward, doesn’t mean the chimp was actually going to attack, after they’ve gotten control of the chimp, but the handler is lying for public consumption, the chimp was doing its “wild natural instinctual response” and would maul or savage a person, absent the handler, while obama’s handlers keep assuring us he was led into this mess, far worse than it ever appeared, and as much as he tries, and as hard as he works, we aren’t getting behind him, and we aren’t doing our best, and that’s why everything is crashing, when the facts, absent the handlers, is everything is going smashing, he couldn’t be happier, and the most difficult thing for him is to keep control of those “micro-expressions”, because he’s been caught more than once, with that smirk rising up, and having to cut it off, and on occasion, excuse it with a lie.
A president in this deep at this stage, would know well, if there were no other ideas, to simply go back to the old ways, to quote Arlo Guthrie, because the new ways we’ve been taught to learn don’t work, so go back to what they call “the old boring method”, in obama’s case, actually cutting out some waste, and actually cutting government spending somewhere, even Carter knew his plan failed, and attempted to save the ecconomy he had wrecked, but there has been no attempt at all to save anything but his own name. The destruction is necessary to enable the inviting of world aid, and losing the last vestiges of national sovereignty, when we have to accept or be shunned. Few out there think we can make it “shunned”, and it is true, without God, we can’t make it shunned. Of course with God, we are infinitely better off shunned, than tied tightly to the whole of that movement which denies God, and his creation of the world we experience our destiny upon.

I write to my congressmen, send emails, send copies of emails. I get replies back from them, but the replies are just jibberish. More of what they want to tell you than discussing the topic I’ve written about. I can’t wait to get them out at election time. I just hope everyone else in my area is ‘on board’ to get them out. Exactly why is the media not all over Obama. You’re right, they were all over Bush. What’s the deal. I think that all of Obama’s chats on TV, appearances everywhere and anywhere since he’s been in office, makes me think he wants a job in the movie making sector. I sent him that message on facebook. Seriously, you are spot on in your article. I think that if more people told the blatant truth and stood up for themselves, we would have a very different and better society. We need a President that leads by getting out of the way, not a President that wants to lead us by the nose.

Your articles are like no-one else’s — right on target. What I can’t understand is, why isn’t anyone doing something about him and all of the illegalities, subverting the constitution, etc., etc.? EXCELLENT points, Mychal. This man is so unfit to be president. There is so much suffering in this country. My husband went from a $60,000 a year job as a commercial construction superintendent to making $12 an hour doing hard physical labor at an elementary school, cleaning toilets and floors….and he’s 55 years old, with 2 children under 18 and one in college..We don’t want a “cute” president, we want a LEADER to help us back to the path of prosperity rather than despair. Obama is clueless..the very least he can do is at least pretend to care…so ready for 2012….

YOu do realize the tea bags are in charge of the US House now and they have been since November 2010 and haven’t created one job? And, gas at the pump has gone up $1/gallon. Where’s your outrage? The higher gas prices are the worse our nation does, but that’s why your people in the US House don’t want the nation to do good, because they have stocks invested in oil and don’t want to regulate the oil speculators, because it could cut into their insider trading.

Nuff said from me on that except to comment on Congressman King today in a tiff about someone taking a puff off of a cigarette in one of H. Cain’s commercials. Cain’s people begged forgiveness and swore that it was a mistake, they didn’t expect it and it wasn’t done to mean anything. Yet the idiot King is a pseudo tiff called it “a celebration of smoking”.
