Dan Bubalo: If I Had A World Of Mine Own

For the past six months the puffers, toadies, and kowtowing strategists in the Obama re-election camp have struggled to find traction establishing a new identity for their candidate, a task on par with rehabilitating the reputation of Mussolini. First it was suggested that he was like Harry Truman, later nauseatingly compared to Ronald Reagan, and since there have been pathetic attempts to link him to FDR, JFK, LBJ, and even Jimmy Carter in order to sandpaper his floundering style of throw-anything-at-the-wall-management. While his advisors and the alpha and omega of hired shills, David Axelrod, grope like frightened children looking for a light switch in the dark, Mr. Obama simultaneously sounds as if he is doing some long-distance channeling with Alice in Wonderland: “If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?”

I love the smell of desperation in the morning.

My colleague, Mr. Massie, has often compared the Obamas to sharecroppers who won the lottery, and I differ slightly in my assessment in that I see them more as Mammy and Pappy Yokum who woke up one morning nearly four years ago and found out they were no longer living in Dogpatch. Neither had the sophistication, capacity, finesse, charm, or sense of decorum to assume the roles in which they found themselves. They rode the perfect storm of a clever but highly deceitful campaign blitz and were aided and abetted by a co-conspiring media that avoided routine vetting as if it was poison ivy. Friends in the legal community would rather lose a kidney than surrender their license to practice law, and yet, the press conveniently took a pass on the Obamas’ significant legal foibles because truth no longer fits the template of a sullied profession obsessed upon creating and controlling news as opposed to reporting it.

Yet, by all indications “da plane!” still flies to Fantasy Island. Like nursing puppies, the press swallows each gibbered suggestion from the Oval Office as if it appeared on a tablet atop Mt. Sinai. It looks the other way when Mrs. Obama pats the Queen of England on the back like they were two chicks having an appletini in a Midtown nightspot, or dresses like a groupie with her first back stage pass to a hip-hop concert, and dismissed the crass, self-absorbed antic of Mr. Obama handing the British Prime Minister autographed copies of his inaugural DVD. Why didn’t he just leave his ipod, instead, or a book of limericks? Last week he walked out of the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony before the prestigious and dignified flyover; he has prostrated himself and our country by bowing to kiss a Saudi racketeer’s ring, smooched Chavez on the cheek, and believes talk show appearances somehow enhance the presidency. While degrading and undignified and insulting and churlish with respect to the stature of their positions, they revealed who they really were without actually hurting the country.

However, when the President of the United States sides with Argentina over Great Britain regarding the Falklands, makes his first order of business to rid the Oval Office of a bust of Winston Churchill (a gift from Britain following 9/11) calls France our greatest ally, degrades Poland not only as it relates to its geo-political significance but then insults its people by not recognizing Nazi death camps, holds hands with a Russian leader assuring him of his acquiescence, raises radical islamists and terrorist organizations to near-diplomatic levels while brushing entreaties from Israel aside like dandruff, shows deference towards Iran, he contemptibly and with malice insults our allies and puts the country in peril.
Now he and his quickly diminishing assemblage of apple-polishers frantically try to re-define a man whose actions already have etched his ineptitude in granite. In addition to his obvious shortcomings and his disdain and disrespectful nature toward ALL things that have sustained this nation, he fancies himself worthy of trying to punk the Supreme Court of the United States like an unchecked Chicago street thug—–hardly the stuff of substance and instead characteristic of a juvenile delinquent.

In full distress-mode, he now suggests outrageous and excessive spending is the fault of his predecessor, that the obscene deficit, which will take at least four more conservative presidential terms to bring into equilibrium, is not of his doing, that an economy that is nearly flat-lining is not the result of Marxist policies, and that there exist “unforeseen head winds” that keep us from moving “forward.” I am not as preoccupied with directional adjectives as he, but can state without equivocation that a man who pretends to stand for anything and everything to satisfy a fickle public is truly a man who stands for nothing, except for a perverse sense of ego-gratification.

As a sub-plot to this B-Movie, there lurks an unforeseen adversary, not only to Mr. Obama, but to the country as a whole, and that is the remarkably quiet but never to be trusted Clinton Machine, lead by none other than Slick Willy himself. The man has been too quiet while his wife has been marginalized, too subdued while watching the country taken over the rapids, and remains a devious and manipulative force in the Democratic party with both hands on the Gong Show Hook, ready to pull a bad act off the stage.

Before the election in November the pressure of adversity for Mr. Obama will be so immense you might expect to hear him uttering words from another Lewis Carroll offering. Coming soon to a media outlet near you:

“Twas bryllig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gymble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves;
And the momy raths outgrabe”

My name is Barack Obama, and I approved this message.

About Dan Bubalo

Daniel J. Bubalo was hired by the venerable firm of Kidder Peabody in 1978, before becoming a shareholder and partner with Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1984. He ultimately bought his own brokerage firm and steered it successfully through the market crash of 1987 before starting a venture capital and advisory company in the early 1990's. He has been a broker, manager, owner, trader, financier, and advisor on mergers and acquisitions, and throughout his career has opined regularly about the intractable nature of government and its inextricable hold and influence on financial markets. A securities violation landed him in federal prison from 1999 to 2003 which served to only sharpen his observations, watching in dismay at the dissolution of the Glass-Steagall Act, the 2001 dot.com bubble burst without so much as an investigation or arrest, and has since lectured between 2005 and 2011 at the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University on government intervention and ethics, as well as being presciently critical about Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank. I don’t much like the post “we gave a black man a chance, and he brought in the ghetto”, it is the sound of the ignorance of someone who was not held back by the visceral hatred of others, yet chose to continue the hatred.
Bill Cosby could easily have been president, had we selected him, and he both understands the issues, and has the experience to fix things. Unknown to most, he holds a Doctorate in education, and has been a major fixture in what good has been done for the down trodden.
Dr. Walter Williams teaches ecconomics in a University in Virginia, and has the knowledge and skills to end the deficit in one term, think “real money”, not fiat currency.
As a White man, born to the natural advantage of not having slavery in my past, it is appalling people of my own station have the temerity to hold bias against the descendents of those their own grandparents and great grandparents used and abused, stealing their lives from them.
We live with a communist for the president, not because he is Black, but because he was a put up job, “The Manchurian Candidate”, and he is there only because FDR was there and made the place for him, with his compatriot, Joseph Stalin. If you have a gripe, get real, he is bad because he is evil, he is evil because he believes in White man’s communism, and it is White People who currently gather to plan to bring the world’s people under their control through controlling economics, and continue to rule from behind the scenes, as they have continuously for well over a thousand years.
The illegal alien is not bad because he is Black, but because he assumed the role of the infiltrating communist, and the hate spewed by White racists is what has given the power of divisiveness to the communists. They could not have infiltrated as they have without Your hate screed. You made Blacks have cause to hate, and you gave the communists the best tool in the history of man, to divide our Nation up, and “a house divided cannot stand”. Dave Buts, you are why an illegal alien was able to take the office, and why we have a central illegal government ruled by communists from the inside.
“This form of government is suited only for a moral and a religious (read Christian) people, any other require a tyrant to drive them to do their duty”; John Adams, upon leaving the Constitutional Convention. A Hating people cannot self govern, only a mutually respecting people ever even have a chance.

Thanks Dan. They may get a meal, but I’ll get a samitch. 300 years of division is enough. I’d like to see a few years of peace and quiet before the final thousand.

  4. Sumitch June 4, 2012 at 9:53 pm #

Thom, Julius Caesar saw himself as emperor and god. He paid on the streets of Rome. The French threw off their yokes and taught the vain and proud what the guillotine was built for. Our own colonials rose up against the unjust and vain. I think that when the people of this nation see our life style disappearing in this nightmare, they will wake up and storm the Bastille.

  5. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 9:34 pm #

Bravo, Sumitch. My dad used to say you’ll sink to someone else’s level before they ever come up to yours, so stand your ground and by all means “take the high road.”

  6. Sumitch June 4, 2012 at 9:29 pm #

Dave. There are thousands of black men that shine every day. Look for them, not the punks in the hood. We can find white men easily who stand for the same hatred he does.

Denzel Washington, a great actor and a solid supporter of this country and our men and women in uniform. He visits our troops in the hospitals all the time and wants no credit or side shows. Jamie Foxx who walks with him. Bill Cosby who has made us laugh for 50 years and never once uttered a curse word. He supports black education, chastises the uneducated and never said a word about it. He works to raise the blacks from the ghetto. Poor pitiful Mychal Jackson who stunned us with his music and dance from the time he was six, but fell to drugs and fame. Colin Powell, a war hero and leader of our military during Desert Storm and stunned the world. Cassius Clay one of the greatest boxers the world has seen who turned to Muslim and never disgraced himself with hating the white men. The list could go on for pages and never get close to the end, And that doesn’t even mention the great black women we have been lucky enough to see, hear and admire.

Don’t let the blacks of Obama’s ilk form your opinion of all blacks. Hate him and those like him for what they have done and are doing to other blacks, our country and our world. He had his chance to shine above all of blacks but took the low road. He’s burning with hate and will ultimately be consumed by it.

We cannot allow him to drive us back into the racial prejudice we saw and grew up in as he is trying to do. He had his chance and wasted it, letting it burn to ashes in his hatred and will be remembered as a divider, not a leader for all. We have the chance to continue to promote men, women and harmony in this country. We still have a great chance to live for e pluribus unum, the motto of our great country.

Not to shame but to ask: Can’t we at least do that? Let’s take the high road.

  7. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:40 pm #

    Baffling for sure, Bill Sr.

When all I hear are sound-bite responses I know the opposition is blindly ideological and hopes that raising the volume will keep them from being seen for what they truly are: uninformed, and in lock step for the sake of remaining in lock step in lieu of educating themselves.

  8. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:29 pm #

    Thank you, Spark.

You can’t imagine how enjoyable it is to work with Mychal.

  9. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:28 pm #

Marilyn, I haven’t even seen an excerpt from The Amateur yet, but I feel like I’m in good company with you.

Isn’t it tragic that cartoon and mythical characters are the first thing to come to mind when reviewing this regime and their antics?

  10. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:26 pm #

    Thom’s Thumb,

The radically driven mind of a would-be-dictator reacts like all other bullies when they get their nose bloodied; they take their ball and go home the first time they meet opposition, just like all other posers.

  11. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:22 pm #

    Thank you, RVD!

    Keep sharing! !

  12. Bill Sr. June 4, 2012 at 7:22 pm #

The people of Israel and their religious leaders were normal every day followers of the God of Abraham. They were offered the truth and light and rejected it. I have to keep reminding myself of this. It’s the only way I can get my mind around the fact so many seemingly intelligent people and especially black Christians who can quote every verse of scripture will still go into a rage when it is suggested Obama is anything but the second coming.

  13. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:21 pm #

Right on, Wakinyan. Very well said.

  14. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:20 pm #

Good stuff as always, Big Jim, and great question on Holder. He obviously feels contempt toward Congress, and I remain baffled why they don’t return the favor.

  15. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:18 pm #

Thank you for chiming in when you did, Carol. I was going through my own outrage when you made your comments and immediately added my own.

  16. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:16 pm #

Great advice, Jamie. We must all accept that challenge.

  17. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:14 pm #

Jim Holmes, I’ve been reading up on treason. The bar is so low he’s cleared it with room to spare more than once.

    I don’t get it, either.

  18. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:13 pm #

I’m with you, Nancibelle. There are still enough true Americans left who live by the credo of “Don’t tread on me.”

  19. dan bubalo June 4, 2012 at 7:12 pm #

When they have to take a private jet instead of Air Force One, Sumitch, she’s going to gnaw on Barry’s ankle like an attack dog every time they board.

    txdalgal,

Great having you on board. Even better that you liked it!

Excellent rant! Thank you for the work you and Mychal are doing.
    Stay safe, GOD speed.

Dan, You have backed up everything (added more) Klein talks about in his book “The Amateur.” Hooray! It still feels like I’m in the middle of “The Wizard of OZ” The storm has brewed into a tornado, houses are tumbling, and the nasty old hag and Crazy Czars are moving our family members deeper into Socialism and the hiding, sychophant Wizard, seeing himself as all important in his mirror, is completely oblivious to what is happening around him unless V.Jarett, the hag, and Crazy Czars tell him what to do next. Boggles my mind that the Inept is still in office.

  23. Thom's Thumb June 4, 2012 at 11:02 am #

So true, Dan. So true, the “Silence of the Lambs” concept of the Clinton machine. My man, “Slick Wilie”, left me more comfortable when I could see him every day. Even more comfortable knowing that Hillary had no way to operate with him, well, being a family member and all when he was in office. What must they be doing now do you suppose?

The untimate disrespect the president showed at the Viet Nam Memorial might well be enough to unseat him – assuming there is anything left of the country by the end of the year and that this egocentric moron stops revealing military secrets to our enemies.

It is my firm belief that if his health care bill is struck down his ego will not be able to sustain itself and, knowing he will see his bid for re election crumble, he will resort to measures that will encite racial strife to levels that will allow him to declare Marshal Law (a measure he saw to earlier this year by exucitive order), suspend the election then declare officially that he is the King of Amereica. Or Emperor. Either.

This measure would automatically grant him membership in that eleite fraternity AKA the Supreme Court Jurists who are, “unelected people overeaching their authority” that he detests so much.

Dang. I wonder how his fragile ego is going to handle that level of self imposed, self hate? Demorat/Marxists are a complicated sort, don’t you see.

  24. RVD June 4, 2012 at 10:57 am #

What does one say to someone who has said it all….and very eloquently, at that! For the first time, in a long time, I find myself at a loss for words, Dan. I reposted this on a Forum I subscribe to…..Hope it’s OK with You.

  25. Wakinyan June 4, 2012 at 10:51 am #

Cleverly written and right on target. The person and his wife along with his whole raft of appointees have been and still are a total disgrace to the White House and the entire country. And the media that has consistently seemed to worship him from day one is equally as disgusting and much more to blame than President Bush. Their support has purposely aided and abetted the tremendous damage he and his puppet masters have done to our country. His and their efforts would be called treason in a non-PC world that hadn’t been turned upside down so that evil is now good and good has become evil. It is good to see them beginning to flounder and grow desperate but it is also dangerous because his super-elevated ego and hugely inflated sense of self-importance may not recognize any limits on how far he will attempt to go to retain his illegally usurped power.

Your comment is too inappropriate for me to comment properly upon in this forum, dave buls. The next time you seek to lower the quality of this blog with a bigoted comment, kindly keep it to yourself.

Big Jim says: Well done Dan…you put barry in the toaster…now turn up the burner !!! Get him hot…he’s gonna burn for thousands of years anyway !!! If the first order of his tenure was getting rid if Churchill’s bust…the second was taxing sun tan bed’s and business’…..I’m betting, with good odds that he never had any use for a tan,and of course he was thinking of the 95% of his constituets and not “we the people” SHAME-SHAME…Have you noticed as soon as the damocrap machine officially turned on the mass blitzkreeg for his reelection that”VIOLA” crude has gone down over $25.00 bucks a barrel ??? Oh, yea..why isn’t eric holder in prison?

  28. Kathleen June 4, 2012 at 9:35 am #

Your article hit home for me this morning. Unfortunately the news had me pondering whether the left wing had been written by Lewis Carroll. I was likening BO and his cronies to those creepy underground characters. Let’s only hope we can pretend this was all a bad dream at some time in the near future and this nightmare will end.

  29. Carol June 4, 2012 at 9:31 am #

Love Dan’s comments, and can’t disagree with a one of them. I do, however, disagree with a comment made by a Dave Buls. If I understand him correctly, he is saying that Obama brought in the ghetto, just like most black people do. I couldn’t disagree with that statement more. There are many black people that don’t bring the ghetto in. I think Hermann Cain would have been one of them. I sure wish his name hadn’t been sullied. He would’ve made a great President. Far better than many of the white Presidents we’ve had in the recent past.

  30. Jamie June 4, 2012 at 9:20 am #

In an interview in Feb 2009, with Matt Lauer, Obama said that if he could not fix the economy in 4 years, he did not deserve to be reelected…. HAH!
We knew he did not meet the criteria to lead our country even before he was elected, but the obedient liberal sheep, organized and led by the border collie media were successful
Don’t let it happen again! Don’t accept what you see in the media for face value. Don’t even accept what your friends and family say, research and find out for yourself.
Don’t be a sheep this November.

  31. Jim Holmes June 4, 2012 at 8:35 am #

Dan, ignorance is not an excuse for violating the law. Neither should it be an excuse for treason. I await the day obama meets his due in court.

  32. dave buls June 4, 2012 at 8:29 am #

We gave a black man a chance to shine, and he brings in the ghetto, just like most black people do.

    • Mychal June 6, 2012 at 1:36 am #

dave buls: your comments are unacceptable and insulting to everyone on this page…how many “most black people” do you know…or are you angry and incapable of expressing said disapproval in a cogent and reasoned way…it would be no challenge at for me to engage in ada hominem attacks pursuant to the ancestry of someone who would give utterance to something as thoughtless and vulgar as you have here…I would be disappointed to know that you spoke that in your home…I had given you credit as a gentleman and a person of good character…I would like to think that spoke as you did because you found yourself w/out the grammatical skills to adequately express yourself differently in the heat of thoughtless moment…am I wrong about you or do you believe that which you have proffered…we all at some point say something that we regret and/or didn’t mean…I would like to give you that benefit of doubt…

  33. Nancibelle June 4, 2012 at 8:21 am #

Present “Leader of the Free World” is still and only “present”. American citizens and taxpayers have seen through this clown posse who betray the truth whenever it opens its mouth. However, truth always wins out, you cannot keep suppporting a lie, as it continues you screw yourself into hell. And hell it will be in November for this crew of misfits, malcontents and miscreants. “HELL HAS NO FURY LIKE AN AMERICAN SCORNED”!

  34. smogdew June 4, 2012 at 7:51 am #

    “Can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear” ….

  35. Sumitch June 4, 2012 at 1:58 am #

    I like it.

I’d love to see him in this hot water if the water wasn’t hot from him and Michelle burning through our dollars. I’d love to see him keep screwing up if he wasn’t ruining the country at the same time. I hope and pray that the elections are going to be watched like never before.
Hopefully he’s failing enough races and countries to lose the election. I’m pretty sure Israel, the Jews, England, the Catholic Church, the Republicans, the Supreme Court, the vast right wing conspiracy, the Independents and the gun toting bible thumpers have seen all they need to see. And if Slick Willie comes out strong like he did today, he’s toast.
I have a dream of the hell he’s going to catch from Michelle when she has to give up the white house. And I’d love to see the bust of Churchill returned in a box of broken CD’s. Then see the new President start a worldwide apology tour for the last four years and seeing him/her send a new executive order back each day that nulls and voids each and everything he has done.
