Donald Trump: Impossibility Became Reality

A Lesson In Defying The Odds

The day America has yearned for finally arrived in the wee hours of the dark early morning night of November 9, 2016. Donald J. Trump had done the seemingly impossible. We the People had hoisted a blue-collar billionaire upon our shoulders and carried him to victory refusing to be sidetracked or swayed by the political illuminati and Erebusic progressives posing as objective media.
The people of America soundly rejected the toxic policies of a neo-Leninist for an “I don’t give a damn what they think of the truth” hard working pragmatic successful businessman. The people of America also made it abundantly clear that the spirit with which the Preamble of the Constitution was penned – when push came to shove, still burned within us today.

Mid afternoon on Thursday January 19, 2017, as I watched the video of the President-Elect’s plane leave New York and arrive at Joint Base Andrews, I finally began to smile. It was only then that I allowed myself to appreciate the full weight of what We the People had accomplished.

It was with a sense of respect that I imagine the people had for Joseph of scriptures and/or Solomon that I applaud a David-like man who slew the lion and bear (See: 1 Samuel 17:36) en route to face the “uncircumcised Philistines” inhabiting the political environs.

President Trump’s inauguration speech was a breath of air so fresh and so pure that it asphyxiated the politicians and progressive mainstream media. The media accused him of not acting dignified and called his speech “dark and ominous.” They opined that his “inauguration address was as divisive as everything else he has said.” One of the FoxNews persons claimed his “speech was not brilliant.”

Therein are the key reasons Donald J. Trump is today the President, and We the People are delirious with joy and thanksgiving. It was/is the colossal failure of the self-ascribed progressive intelligentsia to appreciate what real people are going through; indeed have been going through. It was/is the excessive pomposity of those referenced who have undisguised contempt for those they view as working class America – whereas Donald Trump embraces us.

An example of that was his instructions to set ticket prices for the Inaugural Balls at $50.00 so they would be affordable for all. Granted there were other black-tie events with ticket prices several times that amount but those weren’t the ones he attended.

The progressives wrapped themselves in vestiges of neo-Leninism with their middle finger exposed for We the People to clearly see. However that resulted in their having said finger broken where it attaches to their hand and now they are caterwauling derisively blaming We the People for their pain.

Donald Trump has indeed ushered in a palpable freshness of community and unity. In the months since November 8, I have traveled from state to state and stopping in countless stores, restaurants, etc. wearing my “Make America Great Again” Trump hat. The numbers of people who have signaled me thumbs up, who have said to me “I like your hat,” and who have stopped me in stores and restaurants to share how much they liked then President-Elect Trump was by definition astronomical. I’ve even had people beep their car horn and give me thumbs several times as I was getting into my automobile.

My pastor and I observed that people readily said “Merry Christmas.” This Christmas there was a sense of merriment and Christmas spirit that had been absent even before Obama took office and most certainly was missing during his reign.

Proverbs 29:2 reads: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” (King James Version) And such is absolutely the case today. Since we, with Donald Trump, won the election a darkness has been lifted; the bright horizon of transcendent possibility now buoys the spirit of America.

As I watched President Trump deliver his Inaugural Address, I did so with a deep sense of spiritual gratification. I had a sense that what we have experienced in the past months was the work of “One” greater than we and if that be the case (and nothing dissuades me that it isn’t) then those who are attacking us would do well to read Acts 5:38-39 (King James Version).

Mychal, your perspective is a breath of fresh air. I truly believe that God answered our prayers and postponed judgment on America as He did when He used Jonah to get Ninevah to repent for a season. I hope and pray that Ben Carson, Mike Pence, and others will provide President Trump with great spiritual wisdom.

Mychal, as always you are your most eloquent when preaching your heart. I, too, truly believe that God’s hand moved across America and gave “we the people” a sign that better things were coming if we’d just stand together. And stand together is what we did!! My husband and I stayed glued to the television into the wee hours awaiting the “victory” we knew was at hand. What a glorious feeling! We had triumphed over all odds (according to the press and the Democrats) to win! We put a man in the White House that truly understands and cares about America and the American people. He will stand up for us no matter what. What a jewel! I thank the Lord every day for Donald Trump.

    Dear Mychal,

Heard today that there is an accounting issue with 6.5 TRILLION dollars,
within the gov’t. No one knows where it went. Two thirds of the increase in
    the debt under Obama.
The Lord intervened in the corruption within our Gov’t , let us pray he has
chosen the correct leader to see our America prevail. ( I believe he has, time will tell)

Love everything PRESIDENT Trump has pursued so far, keep up the good work.

Washington I’m sure is in a turmoil as they cannot handle getting anything accomplished.

    • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 10:35 pm #

fixr: I agree w/ you we must stay in prayer…and be proactive…

As a Jew, I too am thankful Trump won and yes, I voted for him. Thankfully done with the anti-
Semitic rhetoric and actions, it is a hope that Trump will remember us as Americas friend, as we were in times before

    • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 6:05 pm #

john ottenberg: if you are an American citizen than it should be your hope that under Trump America returns to the relationship she and Israel shared in times past…my point being that if you are an American than it is America first…if you are an Israeli then that makes a difference…but then I would want to know how you voted in our election…

Mychal, we saw the exact same thing you did here in our deep blue county (ruled by Democrats for decades and it shows) when it came to support for Trump. It was the quiet nod, the smile, and often “go Trump” said in a whisper (for fear the Dems would overhear). Since the GOP was not doing much in my state to help Trump we formed the Trump Street Team to take it to the streets. We stood on corners for weeks with our colorful pro-Trump banners enduring the abuse of some of the most vile liberals. But we did not stop, took our banners to the local Bill Clinton appearance where he had to see us on his way in and out of the venue. He even mentioned us to the crowd so we know it got to him. And Trump WON this hard core blue county. He did not win the state (only lost by 51,000 votes) but that was because of the NeverTrump lunatics and vote fraud (all mail in ballot, same day registration, etc).

    • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 6:08 pm #

colorado conservative: great job…I applaud your efforts and in 2018 off year elections we need to claim more Trump conservatives…

  5. Mike Lliteras January 25, 2017 at 2:35 am #

As much as I was happy about Trump winning, I might be more relieved that Clinton lost. Not just because of how corrupt she was, but because Americans understood what was at stake and showed up. And of course, the damage she would’ve done along with making Obamas damage, permanent. I have been sleeping so much better since Friday. It really is amazing. It was obvious there was a cloud over America, I just didn’t realize how bad it was depressing me.

My mother says she hadn’t been this happy for our nation since VE Day. I have warned my kids to get acquainted with something called optimism.

Get ready for the incredible warfare waged on freedom by the angry entitled left. This is a battle for our survival as a nation of free citizens. It is that crucial.

May we as a nation and individuals be worthy of God’s mercy shown this November.

    • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 6:12 pm #

pblee: your mother is spot on…please give her a hug from me…I agree with her…and I agree with what you are telling your children…

  7. Andrea Rosser January 24, 2017 at 4:22 pm #

    Mychal,

I was so nervous on election day, I couldn’t even watch the returns. I prayed all day long, over and over, please Lord, deliver us from these evil people. I went to be at 10:00, without even looking once.

At 1:00 AM, I woke up (I’m an old woman, what can I say!). I performed the necessities and returned to bed, but I couldn’t stand it any longer. I just had to turn on the TV to see what was happening. The results were coming in and, lo and behold, Donald Trump was winning! I was completely awake by then, and was awake when Mr. Trump announced that Hillary Clinton had called and conceded the election! I actually cried tears of joy and thankfulness. I wasn’t even able to go back to sleep until almost 4:00 AM.

The horrible way these liberal nut-jobs have behaved since the election is just another way the Democrats are causing trouble. They have been programmed for years through the schools and supposed institutions of higher learning to believe that Government is good for you, blah, blah, blah… Let us take care of you, blah, blah, blah…

I am looking forward to the next 8 years! Liberal heads exploding everywhere is a sight for sore eyes! They just keep getting dumber and dumber!

God Bless America, President Donald J. Trump, and all true patriots of this great nation!

    • Sandra Gray January 24, 2017 at 5:27 pm #

Andrea, my husband & I were too excited to go to bed – we just had to watch! We were also praying, crossing fingers, and crying at the end!

      • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 6:21 pm #

sandra gray: I know the feeling albeit it wasn’t excited that kept me up…lol…I knew he wasn’t going to lose…

    • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 6:20 pm #

andrea rosser: LOL…I was at dinner w/ a judge and a sheriff…I did everything in my power to eat have our discussion and get back to watch returns that I could…as fortune would have the judge wanted to spend more time talking with me and it was just past 830p until I got in…when I turned on returns he was leading I think it was 18-5 if memory serves me correctly…he never looked back and never trailed…I like you and I’m sure many others had been praying through the day…by 2am it was official…I spent until about 6am making and rcvg phones, texts, and emails…I went to bed at 615am was back up at 745am…party time was over and I was focused back on the next steps of getting him to the White House…I told people we didn’t have time to party it was time to get to work…we could party Jan. 20, 2017…and so we did…

  8. Jane January 24, 2017 at 3:16 pm #

Again, an outstanding article, Mychal! I pray the Lord will use this Presidency to help our country to get back to what it once was…Blessings to you and our new administration!

    • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 6:22 pm #

jane: we are the ones who will make that happen by staying on our knees to God and by not falling into the same political traps of the past…

  9. Sandra Gray January 24, 2017 at 3:06 pm #

Mr. Massie – I have read over President Trump’s (Doesn’t that sound Great!!) Inauguration speech transcript several times, and cannot find the words “I” “me” “mine” or “myself” ANYWHERE! As you said earlier, what a breath of fresh air!

    • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 6:23 pm #

sandra gray: it does sound great…he used the words 3 times and they were in making his pledge to us…

  10. VICKI BLYTHIN January 24, 2017 at 1:27 pm #

I found the Women’s March to be so vile and divisive and frightening I had to turn it off but I wanted to see the “the enemy” was up to. The Musllim woman who was one of the founders (Linda Sansour)spoke boldly and threatening, along with other fringe types and what seemed regular women who surprised me walking around with ugly signs and ugly costumes that I would be horrified for my granddaughters to see. So if even the women have bought into the HRC rhetoric, I am still always on my guard for the left to try more trickery to try to unseat President Trump, who was the will of the people!

Let’s hope he stay out of petty bickering and focuses on the job. So far, so good! I am ecstatic that he won and we prevailed!!!! Goodbye to the establishment and corruption.

    • Mychal Massie January 25, 2017 at 6:26 pm #

vicki blythin: the womens march was a bunch of worn out old sows and brain dead scum pots…they did what their kind do and nothing else was to be expected…I just hope there is enough disinfectant to cleanse the place when they are gone…

  11. Owen Kinnan January 24, 2017 at 11:37 am #

Thank you once again, Mychal. President Trump is now doing just what he said. Hopefully, the GOP majority in the Senate will find some backbone, shove the likes of Chuck Schumer out of the way, and confirm the rest of his cabinet.

  12. John January 24, 2017 at 10:48 am #

I will never forget how depressed I felt on Election Day, when the media kept telling us how virtually hopeless it was for Trump to win. It is my hope that many of those brainwashed by the hard left will have their eyes opened. The left has become increasing deranged. Their deplorable rhetoric is bound to turn off many of their followers.

    • Mychal Massie January 24, 2017 at 10:55 am #

john: I never believed that…I knew what they were doing…they were trying to discourage people from voting or to switch their vote at last minute because they thought he couldn’t win…I knew he would win and I am on record saying same…

The only way to explain the results of this election is that God’s hands were on it. It defies all human common sense. Praise be to the One who is in control! Your article, Mychal, was, as always, right on!

I hope it was not my imagination but when I heard Mr.Trump take the oath of office, I felt such a relief like a heavy load fell off my shoulders. A lot of work still needs to be done but at least Satan is out of the Oval Office.

Excellent article my friend as always. President Trump has started to put first things first and turn things around. I , like you feel that it was God’s will that Mr. Donald J . Trump would be the one chosen to get America back on the track of the Lord.
God Speed President Trump and may God be with you and keep you safe.

    • Mychal Massie January 24, 2017 at 10:50 am #

phil: actually I didn’t say it was God’s will as you mean it…I said I believe it was God’s hand…my final paragraph speaks to same…

  18. Elizabeth January 24, 2017 at 9:55 am #

Yeah and Amen! Thank you Mychal.
I applauded as Mr Trump was sworn in and gave his speech! It is an answer to Prayer. Almighty God has given us this reprieve, we need to continue to prayer and seek the face of God for our Country.
