Warning: Reality Check Ahead

Amid other unprintable descriptions, Frank Sinatra also referred to journalists once as whores, and when urged to say publicly he was sorry, said, “I believe I owe an apology to all the fine hookers I’ve known for making that comparison.”

In life, music, and art, Frank knew trends.

The media today is unbridled, misguided, filled with omniscience, and arguably a force so corrosive that it has almost done more to dilute common sense than unionized and lock-stepped school teachers and college professors, whom, through a gross misinterpretation of their intellectual worth has led them to believe that pedestals are a rightful part of the classroom furniture, though the media runs a very close second as a destructive catalyst.  In concert, they have lowered the bar of intelligence.

…David Axelrod, a patently dishonest man so delusional and intoxicated he fancies himself a consiglieri with limitless reach, when in fact he is little more than a pre-programmed hack with an uncontrollable fetish to lick the president’s boots.

Sinatra made his comment nearly 40 years ago and what ethics existed at that time continued with cancerous erosion until critical mass ultimately caused them to vaporize entirely.  The questions are how and why.   It happened because the ideologues that own various networks and newspapers were willing to sell the soul of integrity for the Pyrrhic Victory of readership and viewers and in so doing earned the wrath of those today who are able to think and reason without government intervention, assistance, or approval.  As unseemly as it appears, it matters little to major media as long as it can continue to shape public opinion with insipid sound bites the uninitiated and uninformed swallow whole, and if it continues to impugn its industry on an hourly and daily basis, so be it.  There’s an entirely different explanation for unionized faculty symbolized by the striking stiffs in Chicago, who remain too cowardly and lazy to embrace a merit-based environment yet boldly stand alongside a largely illiterate work product and reject a 16% raise.

The result is a black hole of mental acuity with a gravitational pull that has crushed people’s ability to think for themselves or exercise even a modicum of discernment, and the media has seized upon this weakness, essentially abdicating its responsibility to report and inform and substituting instead a mission to shape opinion as part of a distorted sense of its charter.  Pollsters aren’t any different and have morphed into mere extensions of the Democrat party media apparatus as evidenced by past preposterous suggestions leading up to elections that continue to this day.  According to Gallup, Carter and Mondale both had substantial leads over President Reagan, and Dukakis had a 15 point lead over the senior President Bush with less than 60 days to go.  Pollsters remain suspiciously pliable with data and methodologies and apparently operate under a sliding scale of absolutes that change like the weather in order to satisfy the high ranking shills in the Democrat party lest they incur the wrath of David Axelrod, a patently dishonest man so delusional and intoxicated he fancies himself a consiglieri with limitless reach, when in fact he is little more than a pre-programmed hack with an uncontrollable fetish to lick the president’s boots.

Troglodytes like Candy Crowley and Cokie Roberts along with the likes of intractable sycophant, Chris Mathews, are unapologetic broken records that view the world through microscopic prisms and believe their mission is to mock that with which they disagree or perhaps do not comprehend, and to tout that which they support regardless of empirical evidence that would deter more reasoned people, and this pattern of zealotry is intellectually empty as well as ethically naked.  Fortunately, the permanently smug countenance of Keith Olbermann is on the bench this election cycle, a man so consumed by a subjective sense of gravitas that he even makes liberals wretch.  Facts and objectivity are not components that interest these demagogues, but the ability to sway listeners through grand dissembling is their drug of choice and they are incapable of withdrawing from it.  Consider just a couple of this cabal’s idiomatic successes:

Obama’s obsessive hate of wealthy individuals and their success is always framed within the context of reversing the “Bush Tax Cuts” when reality says he is monomaniacally driven to change the current congressionally approved U.S. Tax Code with the express intent of attacking good fortune and neutering ambition lest it threaten his plan for creating an ultimate co-dependence on government.  The media’s reluctance to report accurately is an outright endorsement of Obama’s political vengeance and completely bereft of integrity.  Next we have Obama’s supremely naïve question to Mr. Romney with respect to “how he intends to pay for tax cuts”, a comment that borders on retardation for its steadfast adherence to an urban myth that ranks in hysteria with the flat-earth theory, for it asserts in the face of all evidence to the contrary that tax breaks are part of a zero-sum game.  Apparently it is easier to peddle the party line than dealing with the nuisance of facts.

The lack of professional standards is not confined to leftist media outlets, however, as witnessed by the deterioration in quality of Fox News, wherein long-legged cookie cutter blondes who look like they’re auditioning for a Legg’s commercial are interchangeably thrust in front of viewers to bat their eyes in wonderment as if they were watching a closed circuit feed on brain surgery, and frequently matched with equally insipid male co-anchors.  In fact, just prior to the RNC two of them were at the “news desk” (a sick joke if there ever was one) and this intrepid tag team was interviewing Britt Hume and Mike Wallace’s kid.  Their frame of reference was so small and their sense of history so minute they were slack-jawed to discover Hume and Wallace were at the RNC during the nomination of Ronald Reagan in 1980, and they fawned as if they were listening to tales of the sea from Columbus and Magellan.  My colleague has discussed the network’s ongoing enabling of black on white racism, so while I won’t comment at length upon Fox’s hyprocrisy at this time, suffice to say such pusillanimity only serves to exacerbate a dwindling reputation for a network once seen as a beacon.

The Sound Bite Society will now attempt to define me as I openly lend support to the Republican cause so I will beat them to the punch, for to be conservative means I want dirty air, dirty water, to reward the rich at the expense of the poor, and according to Joe Biden, want to see black people in chains, and if either of my grandmothers were alive I would put them in their wheelchairs and push them off a cliff.

In reality, I just don’t want a financially irresposible pro-muslim communist in the Oval Office.

      Thank you very much, Dewayne.

Makes me want to light it up next Monday.

You’ve done it again, Mychal! I think we’ve all (“all” meaning anyone with half a brain) known that the media has always reported using their own biases, the propensity to spin yarns and tell tales, and that so-called “journalists” are nothing more than hacks in colorful ties. We’ve KNOWN it – and over the years, there’ve been attempts on the parts of the few honest reporters, to confirm it – but now, with an audio tape of a CBS reporter and an unknown hack trying to set Mitt Romney up to fail on national television, it’s been absolutely confirmed and we’ve just witnessed “journalists’ at their most sincere moment. The mainstream CBS news station, where little old ladies get their morning news and the clueless masses cling to every word spoken about how the world spins, has just slammed their loyal viewers in their faces with the horrible truth that it’s all an been an illusion. Every story has been a set up; a fraud that’s been perpetrated upon them, for God only knows how long, which now invalidates every single news story they’ve seen. Here’s the thing from today’s Rant that I REALLY identified with: Over the past several years that I watched Fox News as dedicatedly as the mindless drones who watch CBS, (In the past year I’ve dropped off), the one thing that drove me insane with distraction, was the constant parading of the – as you say – long-legged cookie cutter blondes – one after another as they failed with viewers because they were stereotypical bimbo’s. It was as if Megyn Kelly was the model, and Fox was looking to add others to their lineup, who looked as much like her as they could get. But as much as they may have resembled Megyn, they looked and behaved as simple-minded twits! The prime example was after Megyn left the morning show with Bill Hemmer and it was almost comical watching his reactions to the bevy of beauties they rolled out to replace her. I’d say to myself, “Oooh, Bill REALLY hates this one!” and within a week, she was ancient history. I’m sort of shocked that Martha McCallum has stuck – she is still as mindless today as she was when she first came onto the Fox News scene. That was when my viewership fell off – I simply could not stand to look at her and listen to her imbecilic drivel. Megyn Kelly, despite her tolerance of Jemhu Greene, CAN string two sentences together and has the perfect combination of brains and beauty. In my opinion, Fox News should just give it up, stop inundating us with women who resemble prostitutes in designer suits, and find a BRUNETTE! ;-)

Thanks, Dan. As always, very up-front with issues. I agree with glendatheblackwitch. If Oman gets the vote, Americans will no longer vote for a president for the rest of Oman’s life. Once Oman is in office again, he will be strictly Dictator in Chief. No worries about changing congressmen/ladies because there won’t be a Congress. Oman is ignoring Congress now! with the redistribution of voting areas and various faulty voting regs throughout the country, etc. anything can happen. Either way the vote goes, there will be unhappy as well as happy people. Oman will bring huge smiles to the media’s faces and I can well imagine their praise for the prig and his fatuous fatheads. If Romney, he certainly will be mentioned in the media and his every word and move will be pounced on like mad dogs rolling in piles of road kill. I’m with you about who I don’t want in the Oval Office. You stated it quite eloquently. Thanks.

When I began to realize that people were priding themselves on their ignorance and prejudices, I knew our country was in trouble. Since my belief and desire is that I can find something new to learn every day, I find it. I have discovered I live in a totally different world, universe and dimension from the “opinion makers” among us. If your thoughts on a subject never change, you are basically brain dead. How did we ever let things get this bad? A wrong assumption: we assumed the world around us would eventually come to it’s senses, however if you search the scriptures you will find God blinds those who are willfully ignorant of His ways and His will.

      Gary?

I hear you loud and clear.

When I joke about myself I say I’m a fixed point in a changing world.

      Reversing that?

When you stand still you go backwards.

I have no idea where we went wrong, but Mike and I will go to our graves trying to reverse it.

  5. r. woods September 17, 2012 at 6:29 pm #

    Dan;
Excellent article, I pray that it is read way outside of our circle here. I’ll stand with you when “The Sound Bite Society” shows up, the dirty air and water path is going to be a lot cleaner than the path “0” and his followers are ready to lead us down. And if pushing old people off a cliff is what Mitt and Paul plan to do as long as they start with Hillary C. and Nancy P. I will jump when asked. Thank you for the truth!

    • Dan Bubalo September 18, 2012 at 1:03 pm #

      Thanks, “r”

The Sound Bite Society really rankles me, and I see it does you, too.

The “O” stands for “zero” in my book, and I cannot fathom why anyone would support a guy doing a Casey Jones for the country.

  6. Dorothea September 17, 2012 at 12:40 pm #

Dan, kudos to you. Never have I seen such fawning by such leftists media in my life. Seems as if the big O can’t do anything wrong. And it’s all media and the hollywoodites who go along with O. (I can’t even say his name) I remember in WWII how so many hollywood actors went to serve this country. God bless them. You wouldn’t see that happening today. Dan, you’re right. If we, the American people, don’t wake up we surely are going to hell on a greased skid. Keep up the good work. Between you and Mychal, we truly get what we’ll never get from the lame-stream media.

    • Dan Bubalo September 17, 2012 at 1:09 pm #

      Thank you, Dorothea.

I was raised right and love history, and know of the Ted Williams of the world who didn’t just serve in WWII, they went on to serve in Korea.

Quiet heros with hearts of gold, and the only reason we get to still say what’s on our minds is thanks to them.

          NO.

          Not all of it.

  7. SunnyVee September 17, 2012 at 12:03 pm #

    Dan,
You have nailed the snarky “journalists” so beautifully! I scratch my head and wonder and fear how we got to this awful place in our country’s history. I pray every day that the citizens who think all is well will wake up and see what they, and the media, have contributed to our downfall. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    • Dan Bubalo September 17, 2012 at 12:08 pm #

      Thank you very much, Sunny.

You keep me and Mike on a roll.

  8. Deb September 17, 2012 at 11:49 am #

GREAT Article, Dan. I am not sure how old you are, but I remember when the big conversation was around television and how it was developed as a propaganda tool (in some ways probably true – if not sure, watch the old Mickey Mouse Club from the 50s with the jets going overhead to the stirring music telling the children our brave soldiers were protecting us from the communist horde). However, print journalism, which I have always preferred to “video”, was supposed to simply present the news in an unbiased fashion – “just the facts, ma’am”, so to speak. I have for the most part begun just skimming even the newspapers, because it is all so full of (*&^(*. Everything is slanted to be “politically correct” (insert poperly programed to accept the unacceptable). I feel that you, Mychal and others are kind of like the last minute alarm clocks yelling “WAKE UP!! WAKE UP!!” Don’t stop!

I’m sprinting toward 60, Deb, but might run out of gas before I get there.

  9. Kwatz September 17, 2012 at 11:47 am #

Great job, as usual, Dan. The old saying goes, “Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.” at this point I’d insert my corollary, “or write about it.” I think the problem with journalists is they have massive inferiority complexes. More than anything, they want to be a part of the popular crowd. They can’t succeed in the real world, it is too harsh, unfair, competitive, feral. Since they can’t cut it, in their little minds, it stands to reason the rest of society can’t succeed either. So everyone must be protected from big bad free enterprise, the constitution, free will. They believe that voters, given the truth and left to make an informed decision, will choose wrongly. Therefore, these poor, misguided, backward, middle-American voters must be “guided” to make the “right” decision. Of course, the right decision is always for more and bigger government making the “right” decisions for us. How else can you explain the press accepting the Regime’s assertion that two attacks on our embassies in two different countries on the same day, were unplanned and due to an anti-Muslim movie that had been around for weeks. Or that Obama seems to be winning in almost every poll and it is perfectly acceptable to use a D+6 or +13 sample when a D +0 is more accurate. Or that Paul Ryan is a gaff-machine but Joe Biden is a statesman with foreign policy expertise. I bet that most journalists have fallen for or believe one of the three great lies, 1. I’m from the government and I’m here to help you. 2. My wife doesn’t understand me. Or 3. I promise I won’t….you know the rest. The most ironic thing about the media’s support of bigger government and it’s proponents is that if they are successful, the media will be out of a job. There will be no reporting, only approved news will be printed. The government will control the Internet. Conservative talk radio will fall victim to the “Fairness Doctrine.” the job for a journalist in that world will probably be filled by trained chimps. Then again, have you ever seen Keith Olbermann and Bonzo the chimp at the same time? Bob Schieffer? The good thing is that the public has a lower opinion of journalists than of almost any other profession. Also, people aren’t that stupid. If they were, we would have gone full european socialist years ago when the media was just as biased and without competition. Thank god for the Internet, talk radio and, yes Fox News. It isn’t perfect but it really pisses off liberals so it is just fine by me.

    • Dan Bubalo September 17, 2012 at 12:07 pm #

There are too many nuggets of truth in your writing for me to pick out one and applaud, but if you listen closely, I’m clapping pretty loudly and saying thank you.

  10. Brother Steve September 17, 2012 at 11:07 am #

Yours is an excellent article that raises several frightening points. Before becoming a minister I served as a print journalist for 32 years. The very first publisher I worked for, on the first day of my employment, explained objective journalism quite well. He told me that I would be expected to explain both sides of any story and allow the readership to reach a decision. He then added, “If I want your opinion I’ll ask you to write for the editorial page!”

The media are to be watchdogs for the public, not lapdogs for the Democrat Party. Today it’s all about left wing viewpoints and sensationalism.

It astounds me how many people, after three and a-half years, still favor Obama. More dangerous than him are the idiots who support him.

    • Dan Bubalo September 17, 2012 at 11:36 am #

Stevorino…………………..You’re old enough to catch that phrase I’m sure.

I ended up in finance though trained as a journalist.

Makes you scratch your head, doesn’t it? ? ? ?

  11. renee September 17, 2012 at 10:57 am #

Never in my lifetime would I have imagined that both the televised and print press would have sunk so low as to openly give their undivided, collective support to a mediocre community organizer from Chicago now passing himself off as the President of the United States!

The shame of the general populace in giving this man the opportunity to literally destroy our entire way of life and economy is astounding. As I said before in an earlier post, had Obama been white with so few visible political accomplishments in his arsenal, there is no way he would have successfully obtained the presidency nor the shameful pass routinely omitted by the liberal press in regards to his numerous flaws! Obama’s entire presidency was driven entirely by race and nothing more!

The same guilt-ridden white liberals who run the Democrat party and media were in such a hurry to promote him as “America’s First Black President” in order to make up for the “sins of slavery and Jim Crow racism”. These idiots have developed some warped notion of “opening doors for blacks” whom they personally deem as “simple minded darkies” with sub standard policies and God forsaken, morally corrupt programs through the Democrat party platform. Since the Civil Rights Movement they have continued this embarassing procedure of “lowering standards” for blacks while promoting their idealistic version of diversity”!

In the process, they have extended these low bar manuevers with the inclusion of women, Hispanics and other minorities, gays, atheists and any other inviduals who fit their criteria of being discriminated by the “evil, Christian, heterosexual white male”! God-fearing heterosexual practicing Christians who fall into the group of intelligent, hard working, conservative minded white men, women and minorities, have no place in their manufactured, anti-God, government-run Utopia!

The sinister plot of these anti-Christian progressive individuals have obtained key-executive positions in nearly every industry imaginable including academia, entertainment, sports, science, advertising, fashion, book publishing even the Catholic church!

Is it any wonder why they continue implementing the nefarious strategy of the mob-like violence of the French Revolution in present day society through the Chicago Teacher’s Union strike and Occupy Wall Street fiasco?

Yes these vipors hold the keys in unleashing evil in its clearest form all throughout their media controlled outlets so as to destroy the soul of a once Christian nation. They will continue to poison the minds, hearts and souls of our youths! Even millions of distracted adults will continue to expose their souls through their poisonous artforms of pornography and other spiritually destructive man-made ideas, until brave and strong conservatives decide to make the conscientious decisions of combatting them to the end!

Why is it that Spanish IS EVERYWhere and on EVERY THING? Where do we live? What is, has been and should be the official language of this country? As I keep finding myself repeating; Why aren’t they learning English and speaking it?

I am so sick and tired of this!!!

What happened to learning Spanish and any other languages because you ‘wanted to?’ Because you’re drawn to the culture, foods and that country. Why is this in our face?

People came to this country from Europe, whether by choice or because it was an opportunity to have a better life; even though it was extrmely hard for them to leave their family and homeland.

What about slaves who were sold by their own, other Africans{wicked} and by evil white men? They had no choice. And yet, these people moved here and {assimulated}. All while maintaining their native language and culture.

What the HELL IS GOING ON? There have been no troubles with or from Japanese, Russian, African and Vietemese people, etc.

Why does this country and why are companies (because we see spansih on almost all products and in Wal-Mart the signs for each aisle are now in spanish) ACCOMODATE, BEND OVER BACKWARDS AND GIVE, GIVE, GIVE AWAY???

Why am I considered prejudice or racist for speaking the truth? I know that I am not; but if if ever do become, I won’t have any shame admitting it…

      • Dan Bubalo September 17, 2012 at 3:48 pm #

You’re just speaking your mind, Me, for me and millions of others.

I was at the store this morning to pick up the usual and was the only one there speaking English.

        I wish I had an explanation, but I don’t.

        • sumitch September 17, 2012 at 4:59 pm #

Just a theory here Dan. Why should they break sweat and learn English or do anything else that requires effort when they came here for the free benefits? The concept of actually doing anything for the handouts that our government spends our tax dollars on and uses as bribery so they can collect the votes (illegal or not) is beyond their thinking capability.

The politicos don’t care. Keeping their job at all costs is job number one to them and if they have to spend you and me into living in a piano box under a bridge, they’ll do it without a second thought. I know there are some good honest politicians out there, but they have no real power and are outnumbered by the robber barons.

      • renee September 17, 2012 at 3:59 pm #

You want to know why Me? Because we have a number of weak-willed and ineffective conservatives who are just too frightened to combat big, bad liberals whom they’ve assisted for nearly 50 years in destroying our once great nation!

        “HASTA LA VISTA MI COMPADRES”!

Fabulous Dan! You are absolutely correct about Obama’s motivation for keeping everybody and their descendants on the line to the government soup kitchen and completely on target regarding the nearly criminal nature of the media relationship with and it’s reporting of anything having to do with Washington.

One small suggestion though: NEVER underestimate David Axelrod. He is not a boot licking suck-up. He is a dangerous from the womb Communist,hell-bent on the overthrow of the US Government, as were his parents. He sees Obama as the perfect tool (I do too, not pun intended) to accomplish this goal in his lifetime. This guy is so fresh from hell, he still smells like smoke.

    • sumitch September 17, 2012 at 12:20 pm #

The failure of our system (yes failure) is in the hands of several groups, the news media being a huge part of it. They knew (know) what Obama is and was (a liar and extortionist just to name a couple) just as they knew that Bill Clinton is a liar and draft dodger. But they refuse to report the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth (credit for that to someone). It’s almost funny if it wasn’t such BS to hear them say that they don’t want their journalists, writers etc. to wear flag pins or even red, white and blue colors lest they appear biased when it’s so obvious that most are.
I don’t want propaganda from them (though that’s what we are getting from most), but I do want all sides of any given story. I shouldn’t need to channel surf the news media to find out the whole story and hear conflicting opinions. There should be no need to read newspapers, magazines, the web and the listen to the radio to find out what I need to know to make a semi intelligent decision or to form an opinion. If I want opinions I’ll ask for them or enter into a discussion in some blog. I’m capable of chewing gum, walking and making up my own mind, all at the same time. It irks me no end to have a panel of reporters sit around and tell me what I’ve just heard after I’ve just listened to it. We recently saw what lemmings they are when an open microphone gave us a chance to hear these reporters planning their strategy just before piling on Mic Romney.
Another big player is Congress, both houses, both (all) parties, both (all) sexes, liberals and conservatives alike. Yes they are elected to represent their constituency, but also to uphold our constitution and protect our country. They take an oath saying so. What does it tell us when the politicos lie while campaigning and then again when they take the oath of office and for the most part it’s accepted as a normal trend in news reporting and politicking as it happens?
A third leg of the blame goes to those of us that vote (not me, I’m right when I vote, natch). Blindly voting for a party regardless of their stand is simply lazy and a sure sign that zombies exist. I resigned a position with a local precinct because I was being forced to sign (literally) on to a party platform with planks I did not agree with. I guess that makes me a RINO and the victim of name callers because they can’t come up with anything else to combat my stand(s).
Here in the great republic of Texas, we don’t have to register with one party or another to vote, we just have to register. It’s also wrong when a person gets votes simply because of their color or race if you prefer. That happened with Obama, like it or not. And voting liberal is just plain wrong.
I yield the floor to my good friend that I just maligned at the press conference.

      • sumitch September 17, 2012 at 12:24 pm #

Make that Mitt Romney. It’s not my fault that the keyboard types before I think. And Bush’s too.

      • Dan Bubalo September 17, 2012 at 12:34 pm #

        Sumitch,

If Mychal Massie did one thing to ever move the ball down the field, he allowed us to break down barriers with respect to Obama, and quit walking tippy-toed around the fact that the man has darker skin than we.

He just happens to be an inept fool, and for too long nobody could say that for fear of being called racist.

  13. Sue Christoph Thiel September 17, 2012 at 2:01 pm #

The last sentence says it all.however, when I say to people (who I know are voting for Obama) that Obama is pro muslim and communist, they don't believe it. I don't know how to get others to understand that the bottom line in this election is whether you want to vote for Obama's ideology..all of the other issues that Democrats are looking for won't matter if we keep Obama in…How do we get people to not focus on the little things and look at the really big picture–like the country's future…

    • Dan Bubalo September 17, 2012 at 10:29 am #

      Ms. Sue,

I sense and feel your frustration. Some times I feel as if I’m talking to aliens as well.

Last week I believe I said something about us all hanging together. It’s our last hope, and let’s all go down swinging.

I wonder what thoughts went through the minds of George Washington, Ben Franklin, Patrick Henry, Paul Revere and other of our founding fathers? Most were rich and successful, far richer than the average. Far more successful. What about the Dan’s, the Mychal’s and the Terry’s of today? Tecumseh said that a stick alone can be easily broken but many together are strong. How many sticks have we today?

Our founders had to have given consideration to imprisonment or death for what they were planning and doing. But their dream of a free republic and it’s perpetuation for all men, not just for themselves and for their benefit alone gave them the strength to take whatever risks were required. They had the money. They had the power. They had the backbone to stand up and risk everything. And many lost everything including their families, their fortunes, their land and worse. Sound corny? Sound like something John Wayne would say and do? It all happened. It wasn’t a novel to read on the beach sipping a Mai Tai.

We have the same risks facing us today and even greater. Now we not only have the dream, we have it to lose. One cannot truly know the value of a thing until they have possessed it and are in danger of losing it. How valuable to you was your first love? Your first car? Your brothers and sisters? Your mom and pop? Over 200 years of checks have been written in blood, sweat and tears. Payment has been made in full and is being paid ever more every day. We hold the receipt and title, no one else.

Are we going to let the check bounce? Are we the generation that will sleep, cower, hide and watch what so many have given so much for? Many have had their iron tested in WW II, Korea, Viet Nam and are being tested today in Iraq and Afghanistan, no matter the cause. Not all will stand and say no, you will not take my treasure.

But are there enough? Personally I think the answer is yes. But it’s not a slam dunk. I’ve see the men with their backs to the wall. I’ve seen their iron. But there are many today that have their unearned freebies to loose and they won’t give them up easily either. A thing is more valuable when you put your work into getting it.

          Oh Dear Sumitch,
I can’t answer for any other of the thousands of patriot’s descendants, but my family members, a father and son who died side by side at the Battle of Brandywine Creek, September 9, 1777, would tell you to VOTE THIS BASTARD OUT.End of story.

Love your rant, Sumitch! This isn’t the country my father landed on Normandy Beach to save (or the Army he served in either!). I remember my pastor talking in a Bible study once and saying the American Revolution was started by the aristocrats while the French & Russian revolutions were started by the peasants (today’s OWS-perhaps). We know how bloody & out of control the peasant uprisings turned out! Didn’t one of the Founding Fathers have a saying about hanging together now or hanging separately later? They really put their lives on the line by signing the Declaration of Independence! Has anyone else heard about Homeland Security & the Social Security Admin purchasing 174,000 rounds of hollow-point bullets? Now what would they use them for? (I say this sarcastically)

This slow erosion of being able to think freely for oneself has been ongoing. It is now so easily recognizable by those who still have something left of a brain that it is downright scary. Before this it was hardly recognizable, something that stirred occasionally in a dark corner. Today, this intrinsic. nihillistic and ideology is a banner that is worn openly. I believe we, as a people and as a nation, have now arrived at a very dangerous crossroads. Why, you say? Because those of us who have been around for awhile and have seen the steps once being strongly resisted and now becoming more acceptable, are putting us on a dangerous path. The Pied Pipers of Distortion with a willing Enabler in the WH and the State Department, the laughable excuse by the U.S. Ambassador to the UN that this was not a premeditated attack upon our Ambassador in Libya nor our consulate in Egypt, is a glaring example of what I term as the effort by those on the Left to confuse, obfuscate and outright lie about a tragic event to protect those who had the information beforehand and did NOTHING about it. If we are to continue to live in a free country, we must stop our willingness to let others think for us when we clearly know they are lying. For the first time in my life I am willing to say that the Enemy is Among Us. Look first to whom we elected in 2008. The rest is easy to figure out. And I might add that our public schools are doing their best not to educate kids on this country's heritage but focused entirely on turning out left-wing drones for not only this administration but future ones. If we cannot see the danger signs that now beset us and still are unwilling to take a stand and do something about reversing this country's course, then all I can say is God Help Us. We're going to need it.

      Wow, Cindy.

I was about to give away my writing spot to “pblee” a few minutes ago, then read your contribution.

      Thanks.

It wasn’t just good, it was really good.

Cindy, Welcome the open meeting of the Free Thinkers Club! I wish that everything you have said were nails in the coffin of the current treasonous ineptocracy headquartered in the Oval Office. The events of this past week are nothing less than moral outrages committed against the American people by murderers who have drawn yet another line in the sand with the blood of our Ambassador and three other citizens. Bottom line is, this is an act of war, I believe, yet Hillary simply wags her finger in the air like some vexed school marm. The president, a Muslim himself, will never lift a finger against against his brother Muslims. That is a cold hard fact.

Job One is to put the current occupant out of the Oval Office on Novemeber 6 NATIONAL PUT OUT THE TRASH DAY. Romney isn’t my favorite guy but a four year clean up can begin on Novemeber 7. If Romney doesn’t get with the conservative program he can be put out too. We really can avoid the national train wreck that another Obama term would cause.

As a former student at A.U. I hear your cry… Why don’t students hear and understand the truth? I think A.U. is at least two decades behind the political truth, forget the KPU and other on campus silly student sink holes. They will never get a penny from me.

Just remember NATIONAL PUT OUT THE TRASH DAY: November 6, 2012. Grab a ballot and get it done.

I agree with you 100%. Everything is to the point. What I just don’t understand is HOW so many, supposedly intelligent, independing thinking people are following like blind sheep right into the slaughter house of the Obama Administration. It’s just beyond me where our pride, self-determination and lust for freedom has gone. It’s frightening. If Barry gets elected, I believe he will begin his real destruction of our beloved USA and what it stands for. I wouldn’t put it past him to change the laws, get rid of Congress (as we know it), put in more of his butt-kissing Czars, and make himself “president” for the duration. Sounds far-fetched, doesn’t it? But, somehow it seems believable.

Glenda is one of my favorite names, and black witches aren’t bad either.

On a serious side, I’m right with you. We’re about to go to hell on a greased skid, and everyone is yawning.

      Mercy, mercy me.
