I’m going to make a suggestion. It is not intended to inspire racists and/or bigots of any description. But it needs to be said, so I’m saying it.
There are so-called African-American people who were bred, born, raised their entire life in America. They are the recipients of every opportunity available to all Americans. That said, they additionally have the single greatest advantage available to a people today. They are able to drop the “It’s because I’m black” bomb in the blink of an eye. And woe be to anyone who dares upset their matrix of contempt.
Evidence this comment that a Charlene Ivory posted on my blog. It is one of several comments she posted attacking, and directly attempting to insult, my subscribers. Take note of the hatred and rage she has toward me because I dared speak unfavorably (albeit truthfully) of the NAACP. Note her phoniness when she tries to proclaim her love for all, as she launches into her racist diatribe:
“Why does the NAACP need to fear or hate you? You’re the house negro no self-respecting black person would want anything to do with. They shouldn’t even acknowledge your existence (as I am unfortunately doing now). Do you crave the acceptance of whites so much that you are willing to exploit your own race to be embraced by them? I love all people of all races, but I do not like people who pander to one race to gain their acceptance. You join a party that has many racist members who dislike, if not hate blacks. Look at Lynn Jenkins, who was looking for the ‘great white hope’ for the Republican Party, or the Chaffey Community Republican Women’s Federation (who made the food stamp bill with Obama’s face on the body of a donkey surrounded by chicken,ribs, watermelon, and koolaid), Mayor Dean Grose and the watermelon patch emails, or Marilyn Davenport who emailed Obama’s face on the body of a chimpanzee, and as dark as you are she would have done you the same favor, and worst of all Mike O’neal (Kansas Speaker of the House)who referenced Psalm 109 to Obama-pretty much hinting that he wanted O’bama to die and his children to be left fatherless!But what can one expect from someone who loves the white man more than the white man loves himself. You’re proud to belong to this party?-your’e a disgrace! The NAACP, created in 1908 or 1909, was created by whites and blacks in response to the lynchings of blacks and the disfranchisement of blacks. Had it not been for these brave men and women you probably wouldn’t be where you are today. Albert Einstein(remember,the inventor of the law of relativity)was a member of the Princeton chapter of the NAACP. So now, being the dutiful little house negro that you are, you want to be a self-proclaimed enemy of the NAACP. Well let me officially inform you: You aren’t worthy to lick the scum off the bottom of the shoes of the men and women of the NAACP who fought-and yes some even died-so you with your race-hating self could have the freedom to sit and bash everything they stood for! The New Black Panther Party has sent a message to the Republican National Committee saying: “Our feet will be on your motherf***ing necks” when the Republicans hold their National Convention in Tampa, Florida. And as if that weren’t bad enough, their leadership has said: “We must create [a] military to murder [white] babies and skin white people.”
Spike Lee, who has made hundreds of millions of dollars specifically because whites go to see his movies, recently said: “I’m doing whatever it takes to get Obama [a] second term so he can do whatever he wants this time.” Lee’s not-so-coded message is that he wants Obama to shove it in the face of whites.
The chief cheerleaders and advocates for this rage are Barack Hussein Obama and his wife. I have written and commented many times concerning Michelle Obama’s disparaging of black students at Princeton who did not subscribe to her contempt for whites and the college establishment at the college she was attending for free.
Obama, and his administration, have repeatedly shown that they are not for a United America. Obama has refused to rebuke Joe Biden for telling a crowd in Danville, Virginia that was 50 percent black that the [rich white] bankers were going to put you (meaning African-Americans) back in chains. Those in the crowd applauded and cheered. Obama supported Biden’s screed.
I could go on ad nauseum, but I really do not think it necessary to make my point.
If the United States is so bad and so unfair, why are those claiming to be of African descent still here? If they are so offended by Americans such as myself, and the tens of millions of people who along with me are not white, black, or other, but American–why are they still here?
Rather than risking prison, and potential death sentences if they carry out their voiced intentions, why don’t the Panthers just leave? If persons such as myself are so offensive to Ivory, why is she still here?
My suggestion to them all is this: If America, and those of us who are unhyphenated Americans are such a drain on their well-being–why don’t they follow the example of Marcus Garvey and leave? They can take Obama and his Marxist-Leninist minions, who use color of skin as currency to further their diabolical agendas, with them.
It will be much more harmonal and serendipitous for them. Every morning will be a fresh day, free of we who cause them such stress. They will no longer be burdened by that which they view as our ignorance. Obama can be emperor for life and Michelle can be the fashion plate she always dreamed of being, in her jungle animal-skin wardrobe.
And those of us who love America will be free of their malcontent.



Apparently Ivory doesn’t realize that conservative whites were instrumental in founding the NAACP and that the Democratic Party has had many KKK in their ranks. Here’s some other history Ivory may be unaware of:
■Martin Luther King, Jr., was arrested in Atlanta for a sit-in. 33 others were released but he was sentenced to months of hard labor for a misdemeanor crime. Eisenhower and Nixon ignored the issue.
■JFK and his brother Robert persuaded the judge to release MLK on bail. This won over the African-American community.
Pity that Nixon ignored MLK when he needed help. He would have been President instead of Kennedy AND that single incident caused the switch in party alliance so that blacks now see the Democratic Party as supporting them…. Literally! … with welfare, foodstamps, get out of jail free cards, etc.

Jeff it’s obvious you do not know your history. Blacks were mostly Dems’ long before the John F Kennedy ran for office.
If Ivory and those like her are so disgruntled about what happened more than 150 years ago and holds anger about the injustice that was done, I agree, Shape Up OR Ship Out! The truth of it, there are idgets in every race and nationality, as Ivory has proven with her words of contempt and disdain for any white to accept a black as friend or visa versa. I don’t choose my friends by race or nationalities; only choose friends who have good morals and values. My forefathers were Palatines. They were slaves in Upper NY State for der Queen of England. And, I do have British friends. And, no, I am not Palatine-American. I am an American.

Even, when G W Bush stole the White House, we had a surplus of about 1.4 trillon, and when Bush left the White House, this country was in a deficit about double that,…. where were you then?. You and your fellow conservatives, claim to love America, however, love is, an action word, and the actions of the conservatives, has said volumes for me. The fact that this country was in the worst financial crisis sense the 1930′s, and the Republican Party refused to let the tax cuts end for the rich, by holding hostage extended unemployment benefits for the unemployed; through no fault of their own, but because of the greed of Corporate American and Wall Street. To add insult to injury, Wall Street, Bankers, etc. molested the American homeowner out of their homes, and walked away with millions and millions of dollars, what, were you saying then; Mychal????. If the Republican party, or the far right love America as they claim, way are they trying so hard to distroy this country? Like you said you hate Obama, liberals, ect, ect. Mr. Massie, I have been enjoying your articles for as long as I’ve been on the internet. I come from Canada, but I consider myself an American. I have never understood why all the race stuff, but especially in these past few years where it’s been an all out race war. It’s pitiful. I’m too young to have remembered Martin Luther King Jr., but not too ignorant not to have listened to his speeches. I find it incredibly sad that so many black folks, and white ones who use his name, so many who have lived on Martin Luther King Blvd, who attended Martin Luther King Public School, and who claim to love all what the man stood for, yet IGNORE the whole point of what he made. How many of these same folks who base everything on race, actually care more about the content of a persons’ character than the color of their skin?
Not many it seems. And the “good Reverends” are the worse of the lot for spreading racism to line their own pockets. If they truly were men of God, they’d know that the family of Christ has no color distinction.

i had that conversation with a friend, a former neighbor. he’s “black”, i’m “white” but we’ve got something more in common, we’re both veterans, i’m a former marine, he’s former army, but we both swore the same oath of enlistment, and “stood our watch on the wall” and we’re both americans, plain and simple, no matter which boat our ancestors came here on. i owe europe nothing and he owes africa nothing. we were born here, this is our country, america.

In the mid 60s, a friend of mine while stationed in Stockton, CA was leaving the USN and returning to civilian life. He had a good job lined up commensurate with his education, experience, etc but was having a hard time finding an apartment. All of his friends were amazed at this and asked him what seemed to be the problem. He stated: “I’m black.” In the year and a half that I’d know him, that had never been a question or factor in our relationship. Joe was Joe. Black, white, yellow, redf, purple, green or what have you, a person is judged on his values and accomplishments not his group.

Just last night I said to my husband of 50 years come Saturday, that I just cannot understand what has happened to this country since we were wide-eyed newlyweds moving from Cedar Rapids, IA to Falls Church, VA when JFK was president. Politicians were able to compromise, and though we faced some of the darkest days with the assassinations of JFK, MLK and RFK, people were civil. Now we have people spewing hatred like this woman. It is so sad.

Mychal, you speak such words of wisdom. I can’t begin to imagine what life must have been like during the days of Jim Crow, especially for black Americans. Yet, you have a series of devious individuals both black and white, who for the past 45 years have capitalized on the provable forms of discrimination sadly directed towards the entire African-American community for nearly 65 years during the 20th century!
These miscreants include the New Order Democrat Party established during the Civil Rights Movement as well as the notorious poverty pimps AKA as “AL & Jesse James”! Not only have they used slavery and Jim Crow discrimination to brand blacks as “perrennial victims” of racism as a springboard to cash in on their own miserable but properous lives, but they have extended an entire class of indivuals whom they have shamelessly tagged as “victims” of “the evil Christian White male” such as women, homosexuals, latinos and Native -Americans! No matter how difficult things were for people of color during that era, nearly everyone followed a Christian-oriented discipline rooted in morality.
Most Black men and women who were engaged in a monagomous relationship often valued traditional marriage as well as the entire society. Homosexuality like every other sexual sin was collectively frowned upon. Blacks who were fortunate to obtain a good education, although struggled for employment through no real fault of their own often prospered and invested in their own home and future.
Disastrous liberal Democrat policies and other morally corrupt “safety-nets” such as welfare, public housing, substandard government-oriented free public education, free contraceptives and abortion clinics were unheard of. Useless programs such as Affirmative Action serve no real purpose other than to elevate unqualified minorities and women to positions of power! (Hence, the presidency of Barack Obama). Today, these are initially the liberal goodies distributed towards predominately unmotivated blacks and latinos forged by the untiring efforts of guilt-ridden, ivy-league educated, wealthy white politicians primarily from the Democrat Party!
Black America needs to wake up and appreciate the pain and suffering in which the greatestt generation of blacks blazed before the Civil Rights era! An era in which America was viewed as the most enviable as well as respectful throughout the entire world, despite some of its flaws.

Whenever I have been confronted with such hatred based on race – as that of Ms. Ivory, I ask myself what is your real hatred. Ms. Ivory really hates herself more than the white folks she states she hates. Why so much hatred? Instead of taking pride in her heritage, she hates the fact she wasn’t born “white”. And I’m not sure if she could change her status and be “white” that she would find herself happy. 90% of happiness is your feeling of self-worth and pride in who you are — and what you can share with others. Ms. Ivory doesn’t possess even 1% of the 90% needed. With that pride, others can help you complete the additional 10%.
Just look into the faces of others who express themselves as Ms. Ivory has — the Black Panthers outside the polling place, the massacres at Fort Hood, Oklahoma City, Virginia Tech, Tuscon, Arizona, and on and on. These people filled with hate are all of different races or ethnic groups. All have a real self-hatred which they express to the world by stating they hate others. Ms. Ivory, look internally, you need some real help — but you may be beyond any at this point.

Mychal, thank you for your response to Ms. Ivory. Your article expressed what I’ve pondered for years. Why no exodus to the African continent? The Jews sure left Egyt when they had the chance. From what I hear, people retiring to Africa can live very well there. Ms. Ivory likes the “hypenated” ethnic groups in America, because, God made diverse groups of peoples. Well, the diverse groups of people existed for thousands of years without their identity being hypenated. Just because the use of politically correctness has only recently come on the scene, in the history of mankind, doesn’t make it correct or useful. Maybe someone can let me know if hypenated ethnic groups exist in other countries – or is it “only in America”, again. Also, my opinion, Ms. Ivory is showing how utterly biased she is by not being tolerant of Mychal’s points of view. Ms. Ivory can agree to disagree with Mychal, but I think she has gone way beyond that.

Something I learned in 19 years as a law enforcement officer and 35 years (Active and Reserve) in the Army is that when a person’s skin is broken in some way, the blood that flows is red. The color of the broken skin means nothing. It is what is inside the person that matters. We are all of the same human family and no superficial designations can change that fact. Those who seek to divide us by specific color of skin in order to further their own nefarious agendas are destined to eventually lose.
And by the way, whenever presented with a form to fill out that asks for race or ethnicity I write in “American” and if the clerks entering the data have a problem with that it doesn’t bother me in the least.

Dear Ms. Ivory: One fundamental difference between the Democrat and Republican parties is that Republican policy would have blacks strive to take part in the American dream, while Democrats work to see blacks live at poverty levels on government handouts. Black reps like Allen West, Tim Scott, and others were elected from majority white districts because, contrary to the Democrat spin machine, Republicans will stand behind the man or woman who best represents their concerns and principles, and the race of that candidate is irrelevant.

Lord knows they have a right to be but considering the improvements from the 50s, its hard to envision a cause for it now. They are delivered in the same hospitals, receive the same education, there are programs that provide student loans, grants and scholarships(some that are not available to the white kids) and there are more and more successful black businessmen/women then ever before proving that the system IS working. I once had great respect for the NAACP, back when it was serving to bring civil rights to those deprived, and I was proud to connect with it while being White.
I also once had great respect for the U.N., until I noticed dictators and tyrants got free time on the floor to say anything they wanted, but someone trying to take the floor to move forward for good would get an alotment of time and kicked off.
Those who call “house nigger” and the like refuse to ever talk about the truth because it shuts them down. The Nation Liberia was specifically established by American and African diplomats expressly to provide a modern Nation those American Blacks could form if they chose not to remain here. It was sparcely populated and never made it to becoming a real nation until it was opened to all.
Almost all Blacks chose to live in a Jim Crow segregated America over anywhere else, because even being abused, they got better treatment and more liberty than most other places, and for better or worse, they were “Americans” and most believed in time, their own posterity would truly enjoy equality.
Five years ago, racism was dying and gasping for breath. The few remaining White haters were in fear to speak out, and the Blacks who had moved into every segment of society had shown it was possible, and not only that, but probable, for all who chose to win.
I am one of those “rednecks” and I enjoy having a host of Blacks as close friends, some as close as family, I deliberately live in a rural farming area, 90% Black, because I’m a great welder and machinist, and I see lots of old and ancient machinery which needs repairs every year, and I’ve found the farmers like to trade fruits and vegetables for welding, machine repair, and every kind of such work.
In all my life, the greatest amount of racism I’ve ever seen was in the nine years I lived in Chicago, where it was used by both Blacks and Whites to control politics, and what I see in Washington is no more nor less than straight “Chicago politics, writ large”, meaning mob actions, no room for any respect for most, and crime being the means.
Having marched for civil rights, I know most of the marchers were White, simply because of demographics, we are the vast majority. If Whites were racist by nature, slavery would remain intact as there would have been no good reason to eliminate it, from a White perspective.
Abolition was present and Whites were imprisoned for activism long before our acts of rebellion against the crown started, and the movement grew continuously through all the wars fought, including the war of independence, the border wars both north and south (Canada and French, Mexico and Spaniards), the war of 1812, and it grew in large part because Blacks have the same persons inside as do Whites, and saw evil just as we do, and chose to fight it.
Two decades of service in the Marines showed me a world where the only color was green. Those who did not serve in the Corps will never know what that means, but it is the vast difference of experience for Blacks who served in Vietnam and Korea in the Army, and those who served at the same times in the Corps.
Absent obama and his communist work, we would still be continuing our improving race relations, instead of having been set back two decades by the deliberate actions of communists, using it as a wedge to divide Our Nation, and those who bought in are the reason for the vast hatred openly aired today, which was unthinkable not ten years ago.
For those who would defend against this screed, consider what the outcome of a call for a “White congressional caucus”, and know no such response has ever arisen with the fact of a “Black congressional caucus”. Yes, I do know a few White racists, but they were afraid to even speak out until the new “rules of engagement” were entered with the election of the communist usurper. When Black Panthers were intimidating at the polls, those same Whites who were afraid now had and the ability to defend their hatred.
When I put that blank check up to this Nation, up to and including my life, it was written for all Americans, not White ones. Every other Marine I’ve known felt the same way, with the few, notable exceptions, and they made the rest of us comfortable by showing us, both Black and White, we had it together, while they were broken.
The one man who could have closed the chapter never considered it, such an idea never cross his mind. He has spent a lifetime waiting to draw a sword across that old scar, and spread it wide open, and pour dirt and detritus into it, along with some rock salt.
Those who can’t see this live with their eyes closed, and their minds empty. I can only pity you. Those with intestinal fortitude have chosen to work for a living, at what they are best at, and they reach for the sky, and frequently touch it. Mychal most certainly has, and I would be proud to call him my brother anywhere, anytime. God Bless America, and may He keep those fighting for His Law and Principles, fulfilled and secure in their convictions.

I appreciated that you do not find it necessary to descend to the level of vitriolic phrases that you have quite calmly addressed. Those reading should take note that the comments of Ms. Ivory are really an expression of the pain she must feel continually. Just as a child strikes out in frustration and yells their “hatred” for those who are their care givers, Ms. Ivory gives me the same personal feeling of relief that I am not that child or that suffering lady. I too have pains that I come from my past as a young boy growing up in the south. I was never guided in any way to be tolerant of those who were different from me. As I aged and encountered more people from varying background ( racial and ethnic) and was surprised to learn that these “different” people were a connection to the words that I also studied and pondered the we are all created by God to be equal and have the same opportunities.
Where my young self might have desired to lash out, as Ms. Ivory has, to cause pain to those I then perceived to be a harm to me, I find that now I wish to discover the source of the frustration of Ms. Ivory and look for a path to diminish her pain and frustration. Sorry for the run on message. The thoughts just kept coming.

And, for the record, Albert Einstein “developed” the theory of relativity, very much like Alessandro Volta “developed” uses for electricity upon the discoveries of Benjamin Franklin and others, and Isaac Newton developed the theory of gravity.
Nobody “invented” gravity, electricity, or the principles of physics, for they all existed intrinsically and previous to codified explanations. Ironically, Ms. Ivory, the demon you suggest to be Mychal Massie is one of pure invention.
I agree with your assessment of this woman. I’m white, I’m a patriot & a citizen of our great country. I’ve never been racist & like people for who they are & not what color they might be. I read the Rant because I like honesty & bluntness. I think most people do. We need more people standing up for the truth & the values of our country. I applaud all of you. Unfortunately, those that Mychal is askikng to leave America are asking us to leave. And here in California they are winning. People are leaving every day.

Mychal, On very few occasions do I disagree with your articulate opinions. This is one of the many I whole-heartedly support. I am neither proud nor ashamed of the white skin I wear. Nor do I feel any kind of emotion for or against the black skin of my grandson who adores his little sister with pink skin, red hair and blue eyes, and she idolizes him. The packaging of any person does not determine the beauty or lack thereof on the inside, which is the important part of each one of us. When the inner person is revealed through the spoken or written word, true character is revealed. In this regard, a picture is not worth a thousand words beause the words reveal all we need to know.

Yada, yada, yada. Talk, talk, talk. Gimme, gimme, gimme. As I recall, back in the early 90s or late 80s (I was still in the Air Force so it couldn’t be later than that) H. Ross Perot offered to pay First Class airfare to Africa for any “Afro-American” that wanted to leave. There were no takers. Strange that. All the talk of hating but no one wanted to get away from what they hated. I was sitting in a little coffee shop we have near the house and could not help but listen (loud voices) to the two black women at the table next to me. One wanted to know if the other had found work. Unemployed laughed and asked, “Why should I? I can make more money off State Unemployment and Aid to Dependent Children. I’d take a big loss if I got a job.” At which both laughed like it was the funniest thing in the world. And for this I gave more than 20 years of blood, sweat and tears? And I do mean that in the most literal sense.

Thank you sir for this post and your thoughts. Living as an unhyphenated-American for the nearly 50 years of my life has taught me much about segregation.
With my biological lineage, I could have taken the same route as others who use historical actions to create social walls between people. However, my love for the concept of what this country is founded upon led me at even an early age to forego the labeling that many school-led testing and forms requested.
I always chose to not fill in the boxes that asked for ethnicity and race whenever possible.
I am not a Something-American, I’m an American. A United States Citizen, to be precise. Those who willfully choose to break away into splinter groups choose to do so of their own will, not because I’M being racist/religionist/genderist/etc.
It’s been said that, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
I doubt this means, “…all men are created equal, but we’re obliged to treat HIM and HER and HER and HIM differently because they feel they need to be treated differently when they form their own elite group membership”.
I’m reminded of the young gymnast who was talk of many discussion threads because she opted to keep her hair style the same as others in the team, instead of ‘making a statement’ and isolating herself by doing what many thought would be appropriate for a “black athlete”. I’m also encouraged by her response stating that the had forgotten the hyphen before her ‘American’ title. That is truly encouraging.

My comment to her was that people who live in the past, filled with hatred and carrying baggage that is not even their own will never be happy. She is obviously filled with anger and hatred, so misguided. I know that you are a man of God first and the bible is your guide. You surely follow in the right footsteps Mychal. I’m sorry you are a target for such vile diatribe. I’m with you by the way; I truly wish they would all leave. Heck, I would even chip in for some air fare!

Love, Love, Love!!! While reading this edition of Rant, it brought back to mind something I have thought about over and over. Some of the black population find it SO VERY important to be called “African-American’s” and if they are referred to in any other fashion are quick to chastize those that dare make the “unapproved’ reference. What they fail to understand is most Americans could require they be reference to “Irish-American’s”, “German-American’s”, “Jewish-American’s”, “Italian-American’s” “English-American’s”, “Mexican-American’s”, “Polish-American’s”,…I could go on and on. I think my point is made. American is a country, who if it were not for LEGAL immigrants, would still belong to the only natives of this fair land, the true hyphenated citizen “American-Indians”. The citizens of this nations are ALL American’s. Why is so darn important to make the distinction of “African-American”? Why, why, why? Can you enlighten me? Ms. Ivory is VERY racial. Calling you a “House Negro” undercores what she really thinks. SHE needs to go back to her home country!

I don’t know which side of Obama I despise the most; his black side, his white side, his inside or his outside. The reality is I don’t give rats about Obama person hood, but I do care about his use of government to destroy this once great country. So, call me a racist if you want to but Obama has to go before it is too late.

What a trashy thing she said. This country has become like Alice in Awful land. This is not a “race” thing as she makes it to be, this is a moral issue in this country with race as a deceptive cloak covering an agenda. Yes fallen man has the capability to be bigoted—as well as immoral, murderous, fraudulent, and able to commit unspeakable evils; not just white men, not just black men, but ALL men. (witness Miss Charlene’s personal attack on you). Our founding fathers knew this and formed a Constitution to protect what redeemed man knows from God’s revelation, about the weakness of the flesh. The problem with these progressive racist screamers is that they have separated from God. They are evolutionary materialists–in short, whether they continue to go to a “church” or not, they are atheists. Their “god” is one of this world, for their own glory only. Like atheistic communism, those who are not of their same “beliefs” are treated ruthlessly. They will use race, sex, money, and faith as weapons against those who trust in a higher power than self. If that woman was a black woman, scolding you, then perhaps she needs to listen to some good, authentic black gospel music, and learn to love God, and her brother, and ditch the filthy rhetoric she is imbibing.

I have known many people of color first in the Navy, I had worked for some and some have worked for me. It was a great experience for both. I learned while a manager in Rockwell International that it is not the color of ones skin, but the color of ones mind that will distroy the individual. I don’t like alot of the changes being made in our country, but I can live with some of these when they don’t force change to my freedom to choose associations and chose my direction in life. I don’t care if it is white or black or they struggle with the language. We can’t be a great “anything” if we can’t learn to understand and learn to do for others. Maybe it is my Christen upbringing, but it just makes since.

I can no longer just sit back and wait for the November election………I will volunteer to do anything I can to help remove Obama and his wife from the positions they now hold and so poorly represent. I know this has nothing to do with the subject at hand, but I was amazed to learn that Albert Einstein was “the inventor of the law of relativity”. How ever did things function before that?
