One of our major problems today is the successful neutering of society vis-a-vis political correctness. People are afraid to call a spade a spade, people are afraid of telling the truth for fear of being labeled insensitive, or being seen as intolerant. The result is that liberals and other lesser forms of life, that are bound by no such bonds of propriety, are able to advance their positions with little obstruction. Because, at the very suggestion of something being counter-productive to society, those asserting same are ridiculed and maligned.
I’m not asking for permission to be blunt and forthright. There are times it is the only way to make the appropriate point. Such is the way it is with abortion. The politically correct and the foolishly uninformed are quick to claim the murder of an unborn child is a woman’s choice. Following that logic, it was Hitler’s choice to murder Jews he found inconvenient, and it was a choice for Al Capone to murder all of the other annoying and bothersome gangsters.
Society and most of the world condemned Hitler and the acts of Capone. But, somehow, when it comes to having a 13 year-old girl or a 40 year-old woman get up on the table, put her feet up in the stirrups, and then have what amounts to a vacuum cleaner hose shoved into her womb, turned on, and the unborn child ripped apart as it is being sucked out of what was created to be a safe environment for the child to reach it’s full period of gestation. Grown men raping and sodomizing defenseless little six year-old girls or forcing defenseless little boys to orally satisfy them is seen as a criminal offense – but it’s a choice when a defenseless baby is burned to death in its place of safety, because its mother took a few pills, opting to exercise her choice for perceived sexual pleasure, but not worry about the responsibility associated with same.
Oh, and by all means, let me not omit Obama’s wife who swills BBQ ribs, heavily fat marbled steaks, and everything else she can shove in her gluttonous mouth, while telling us not to eat french fries. But the Obama’s don’t see the need to tell young girls and women that having a child burned alive inside them or having children sucked out of them by vacuum hoses carries unimaginable health risks and life-long emotional scars.
Rather, in all of his preening narcissism, Obama called the 39th year of selectively legalized murder: a “fundamental constitutional right” and pledged to “continue [his] efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.” The simple translation to his contemptible comment is, there are no consequences for a person’s personal behavior. The federal government will make sure the consequences of the person’s irresponsible behavior are paid for by someone else and the courts will ensure it stays that way.
At least that will be case until enough people find the practice as vile and animalistic as I do. If and when that happens, individual states will be able to exercise their right to either criminalize the murder of defenseless unborn children or decriminalize the rape, sodomizing, and murder of defenseless children. After all, both things are a choice.

I am very glad that abortions weren’t around in 1945, because I might not be here. I was given up for adoption and had a beautiful childhood with parents who loved me unconditionally. I thank God every day that my natural mother cared enough to give me life and love.
demarree1: your point cannot be made loud enough…
I wonder sometimes, what’s the difference if the mother kills them off before they are born or if our government sends them off as youngsters to a meaningless war to get them murdered so the rich can get richer or to scratch somebodys back.
Well, Hankypanky, that was certainly well thought out – not as if you were reciting some old oft repeated I hate the rich theme song.
You know Annie, I can agree with Hankypanky. Having lost a son to war in Vietnam and 2 Grandchildren to the Arabs. What can be worse for Mothers? The guilt or the heartbreak after having them for 18 years.
ginny: I would ask which was a more worthwhile lives…the fact that they had an opportunity to enjoy life and touch people or the having them ripped out of the uterus or burned to death inside of it w/out any chance to enjoy life or make a difference to someone…memories live forever…memories of an abortion is not what I would chose…
This was my FaceBook status today:
What if we were told that there’s a terrible condition among us that has claimed over 50 million lives during the last 40 years? Wouldn’t we be horrified? Wouldn’t we demand that something be done to stop it? Wouldn’t there be a fund set aside for research to stop this dreaded condition?
But what if we were told that there’s nothing we can do, because a court has decided that it’s none of our business? What if we were told that it’s just not polite to talk about it?
There is a condition like that. It’s commonly called abortion, but the correct word is murder, which has taken the lives of over 50 million innocent, defenseless babies since 1973.
It’s Sanctity of Life Month. It’s a good time to be reminded that we can support programs like the one we have in here, Women’s Resource Center, which helps people to make informed decisions and can help with no-cost medical services.
Mychal, thanks for being so candid and although you sometimes border on the raw, I can’t think of anything more ugly and raw than destroying a small human life. You have fought fire with fire.
PC makes fools of us all and it makes some of our most helpless ones dead. Keep writing.

SOME women get abortions because some of them are ‘encouraged’ to by those who say they LOVE them i.e. fathers, spouses, boyfriends and many feel that they have no other alternatives. Certainly reducing the abortion alternative is the RIGHT place to start.
Legalized abortion for women, in the name of “choice”, has nothing to do with women having “the opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.” This is the same assinine logic these extreme leftists use all the time. Somehow things will be better with their solutions. Their magical solutions for our lives, and control thereto.
Obama’s verdict that “it’s presence is punishment for making a poor choice” puts him right up there when a certain wack job preacher declared Katrina the punishment of the people of New Orleans etc. etc. To me it’s an enormous decision to make, but given everything else being equal, when a woman’s life is endangered because of a pregnency, who has the better right to make the decision? Certainly not a herd of lawyers working for their 30 pieces of silver.
Let me add more fuel to the fire:

What about “the life of the mother”?
Since we are both pro-woman and pro-life, we refuse to choose between women and children.
Sometimes doctors advise abortion because they are unaware of other options or because they are pressured by fear of malpractice suits. We believe that physicians and other medical personnel should treat both patients and do what they can to save both lives.
This is what was done before the Roe decision was handed down.
Thankfully, medical advancements continue to save more lives. Situations in which the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother are extremely rare. Late-term abortions are never medically necessary. Emergency C-sections are often the medically appropriate response to save both mother and child. Viability at this stage of the child’s development is generally very good, especially with advances in neonatal care. Babies who weigh just under a pound are surviving!
As for first-trimester scenarios, most are to save the mother from ectopic (“out of place”) pregnancies, which typically occur in the Fallopian tube. Surgeries for ectopic pregnancies are not medically classified as abortions. Since the child has no chance of survival, and the mother can survive if the pregnancy is ended, we must do what we can to save her. To let both die would not be pro-life. At this time uterine transplants to re-implant the baby into the womb are not possible. (But if this becomes a viable option, it would have enormous ramifications for the entire abortion debate, since becoming un-pregnant would not be the same as having an abortion!)
Finally, there are issues related to mental health. While pregnancy can be a stressful experience and sometimes bring on or exacerbate depression, psychological stress should not be “treated” by abortion. Psychiatrists and psychologists need to treat mental health issues directly.
A two-year study on abortion revealed that out of 400 women who had an abortion at a Buffalo, New York, clinic, women who suffered from clinical depression were twice as likely to regret their abortion (30% versus 15%). This surprised doctors who assumed that pregnancy and motherhood would exacerbate their depression. In addition, several large studies (in Finland, Great Britain, Canada and the U.S.) indicate a link between abortion and suicide and psychiatric admissions.
Pro-life feminists are committed to protecting the lives of both women and unborn children. We call for honesty, accuracy and compassion in considering “the life of the mother”—with a focus, always, on life-affirming solutions.

As you state, abortion is murder. Roe v. Wade in 1973 made the murder of unborn babies legal in the US. More than 52 million babies have been slaughtered since Roe v. Wade became law. This is more than eight times the number of Jews killed by Adolf Hitler’s regime.
But, the politically correct crowd, as you state, says killing an unborn child is a woman’s “choice.” Some states even use taxpayer dollars to pay for abortion.
A woman can “choose” to murder her unborn child and face no legal consequences. However, there are at least two documented cases involving the murder of a pregnant woman, both in California if memory serves me correctly. In both cases, the man who murdered the pregnant woman was found guilty of not only the woman’s death, but also the death of the unborn child.
A 34-year-old California man was convicted of two counts of murder for killing a pregnant woman in 2009. And we probably all remember the constant media coverage of Scott Peterson, who was convicted of killing his wife, Laci, and Connor, their unborn child.
It truly is a ghastly crime for anyone to kill a pregnant woman and the criminal should face two counts of murder. However, it is an even more ghastly and despicable crime for a woman to legally “choose” to murder her helpless unborn baby.
Abortion allows a woman to do as she pleases and face no consequences for her behavior. However, it will be a different story altogether when she stands before the Lord on Judgment Day. She will face eternal punishment for her “choice.” She “chose” to break one of God’s 10 Commandments, which says “You shall not murder.” On that day it will matter not what the PC crowd says.
I know I will hear from some on my comment. So be it. Let me state this right off: I do not believe in abortion for convenience. Meaning that females have abortions because it interupts their life-style. And, abortions should not be paid by tax payers. This does not make me a “Liberal” nor does it cast a shadow of doubt how I feel about that type of abortions. Abortion for convenience is morally wrong and that is my personal feelings. But, If your wife or sister was pregnant and it was determined that the fetus was either dead or something dreadfully was wrong with the baby, and, the mother had to make the decision to either abort and/or allow her life to be taken with the baby – What would you say to abortion then? Years ago, I had an Aunt who was not given any options and she died with her baby. That was the sadest funeral ever. In the casket, the baby was laid in my dead Aunt’s arms. The mother, my Aunt, left a grieving husband and two very sad small children.
My wife’s best fiend has a similar story. Rick Santorum’s wife is yet another example. This is why every time Republicans bring up overturning Roe v. Wade, they always include rape, incest, or the life of the mother exception.
I had not heard that before. All I ever hear is that abortion is morally wrong and should not be legal; and, Planned Parenthood is blamed for every abortion.
That sounds to me like the statement that taking two lives is better than taking just one for some moral reason. Seems to me that the person making the decision to allow both deaths is as guilty if not more so than the mother making the decision herself. It’s her life that she is destroying. If there is no chance for the baby, what other decision can there be?
What an evil thing to do to place the poor baby in the arms of the poor woman. Isn’t the grief of the deaths enough? If she had said that was her desire before her passing, it’s a different thing.
The entire family looked forward to the new baby. It was my Uncle who wanted the baby placed in her mom’s arms because he wanted them to go to heaven together. That was his reasoning behind having the two placed in the same coffin. It wasn’t evil.
Dear Marilyn, I am very sorry for your loss and I of all people am so happy for the medical advances made but there is one very important point that I haven’t seen mentioned….abortion is murder but ‘taking’ a premature baby is not abortion because the reason for ‘taking’ a HUMAN fetus is to preserve two lives. My baby was born at 27 weeks gestation because my life was truly ‘on the line’! She weighed 1 lb. 10 oz. and was 13″ long. For three months she was in NICU and three months at home on heart and resp. monitors and today she is 23 yr. old and doing great! Any baby can be born with the intent to preserve it’s life but an ‘abortion’ always kills.
My Aunt did not have a choice because this was a time before Roe vs Wade and abortion was not legal. Auntie had no options. Death certificate reads: Died in Child Birth. What I am saying here is that there must be qualifiers when we talk about stamping out Roe vs Wade and making abortions totally illegal. There are circumstances that makes abortion a very difficult decision; yet, a woman’s decision. Women need to have that option. With all of the new equipment we have today, doctors can determine the condition (even the sex) of the baby. If there is the slightest chance that the baby “could” be born alive and well, most mothers will take that chance. I would. This certainly is not about convenience. Far beyond that.
I’m sorry Marilyn. What I meant was that a woman whose life is in danger can have a baby ‘taken’ with the intent to save BOTH lives. Abortion is the intent to kill one to save another. You CAN TRY TO SAVE BOTH although one will suffer more. Abortion is always about killing the baby but ‘taking’ a baby is about doing the best to save both lives. Babies taken are surviving at earlier gestation ages than ever because we are TRYING to save them earlier and earlier. Perhaps we would be even farther ahead had your Aunt’s life been spared and her baby ‘taken’ in hopes of saving both. Since they did nothing, both died. There doesn’t need to be “qualifiers” to ‘take’ a baby to help the mother and the child live. There are only “qualifiers” needed to make murder legal.
mrsjb: I defer to my good friend the late Dr. Mildred Jefferson of harvard medical school and boston university hospital she was a mentor and tireless advocate for ending abortion under any circumstances…
You sir are AWESOME! Your site will be one of my daily visits!
thank you
Mychal, I couldn’t agree with you more when it comes to the deplorable act of abortion. But, what I don’t understand is this: How, and WHY, is it that a woman can go to her local abortion murder house and have the baby destroyed with no legal consequences, but — let someone, other than a licensed physician, cause the death of an unborn baby and he is prosecuted for murder? The simple fact of the matter is that Roe vs Wade should have been overturned, as it was a fraudulent case from the very beginning. The woman that was used to bolster the decision referred to as Roe vs Wade has stated that she did not know how her problem was going to be handled by those who took her case on. She has stated that she was USED by those who wanted abortion on demand. The upshot of it was that she totally disagreed with the decision that was handed down, and was sorry that she ever got involved.
I wonder why it took her so long to come to the conclusion that it was someone elses fault? I’m more inclinded to believe that she couldn’t live with the grief of what she had caused to happen.
This is equal to the NAZI’S EXTERMINATION CAMPS!!!!
I’m NOT at ALL shocked by this support of MURDER coming from the BIGGEST FRAUD ever PERPETRATED on AMERICA!!
An apt comparison Kenny. Anyone thinking he cares two flips of a rusty slug about anyone’s life but his own is blind.
In addition to all that you state here Mychal (which I agree with whole hearted), I personally am completely out of money. People, who live lives of sloth and their leader Barack Hussein Obama, have stolen every last cent I ever earned. My Mother would be absolutely mortified over the fact we live in a culture where some truly believe they are so entitled, that they chose a leader to mandate the rest of to support their ugly, unacceptable ways. Though in horrific pain and saddled with Leukemia, breast cancer, pleurisy, crippling arthritis (a hard working farm woman who gardened, canned and baked bread right up until her death at 87- in 2002), she REFUSED government assistance stating firmly, “I’ve NEVER taken welfare, and I’m NOT going to start now!!!” Boy was she MAD when we presented her with that newfangled concept of Medi-whatever!
God rest the soul of your mother.
Abortion is not just about the destruction of life within the womb. Our society which now legally destroys nearly a million tiny infants per year in abortion clinics and hospitals across the country (official records indicate over 50 million since Roe vs. Wade) has in effect redefined human life.
Life in the womb now is not much different than a filet minion in the grocery keepers’ meat case. It’s something you can have if you feel like steak for dinner so take it home. If you decide later that you don’t want it and would rather have pizza you can just throw the steak out. That may sound crazy and one would think that you could/should give the steak to someone else who would love to have it. Forget about it! It’s yours; you can do with it as you please.
The facts are today a new human life in the womb is no longer recognized as a gift from heaven or the procreated fruit of true love. Our president has even described its presence as a “punishment” for making a poor choice. Life in the womb is not treasured by society as its most valuable asset and our hope for the future.
This society has decided womb life is no life and deserves little consideration and no protection under the law. Some, like our president have “personally” and “legally” determined that even when out of its home in the womb on an abortionist operating table having survived an attempt to be destroyed it must be ignored and left to die since it was “unwanted”. Unlike the unwanted and homeless on our streets these little souls currently have no tin cup or neighborhood shelter or government assistance to turn to for help. When they arrive on the scene or sonogram they aren’t received like illegal aliens and given the benefits of citizenship like the thousands crossing our borders daily. In short, the most helpless of all “life” in our country are the least served by us. They have been disenfranchised, sold if you will, by society edict and left on their own since ownership has been transferred to the womb keeper along with all “rights” for disposal much like the unwanted and discarded filet minion from the meat case at the grocery.
We need to ask ourselves:
Do we ever want to get to the point where all men may consider behaving as human “gentle” men, spouse protectors, family providers and not a domesticated form of reproductive animal?
Do we ever want to see an end to women being treated by some men as if society had given them a license to use women as a depository for their male sexual passions?
Do we ever want all women to someday have enough self pride and dignity to understand and admit their bodies were designed to be the very sanctuaries of human society and their wombs are and always have been the wellsprings of mankind?
Do we ever want both men and women to understand that within this concept and the knowledge they are “pro-creators” that children are more than simply a product of physical activity between lovers?
Do we ever someday want all children to grow up to realize and understand they were begotten out of more than blind passion?
When ever we have answered yes to these questions we will have begun to know the true meaning of human love and “life” and when it begins
Beautifully stated! Thank you for your post.
Right on
AMEN! Applause…
In Christ,
