A bloody scandal and its shameless cover-up:
Author Katie Pavlich joins Mychal Massie to discuss what inspired her to write her new book ‘Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and the Shameless Cover-Up’
No scandal is more threatening to the Obama administration than Operation Fast and Furious. While other scandals involve money, Fast and Furious involves lives, including that of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, gunned down with a weapon that the federal government put in the hands of Mexico’s narco-terrorists.
As shocking as Operation Fast and Furious was—and Katie’s book explains, in chilling detail, just what this operation conducted by the ATF, under the supervision of the Justice Department, entailed—equally appalling is the blatant cover-up of wrongdoing by the Obama administration. No reporter has been more dogged in tracking down the facts about Fast and Furious than Katie Pavlich.
Journalist Katie Pavlich arrived on the political scene in Washington DC ready to challenge the status quo. As news editor for Townhall.com and a contributing editor to Townhall Magazine, Pavlich has focused attention on topics that many inside the beltway would rather forget or ignore such as illegal immigration, bias in education and the Second Amendment. As a reporter, she has been one of the leading investigative journalists breaking news on Fast and Furious. She is a frequent commenter on Fox News, Fox Business, and MSNBC, as well as on a host of national and local radio shows. Pavlich’s deep love of the outdoors and respect for firearms are rooted in the formative experiences of growing up in the mountains of northern Arizona, rafting the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, and hunting big game with her father in the forests and deserts that Barry Goldwater called home.

After reading “Fast and Furious” I have no doubt in my mind that the U.S. Government Administration is totally behind the entire fiasco. To blame it on a few ATF is ridiculous. I am furious that Holder and further up the ladder have sacrificial lambs to keep their dirty arzzes out of the limelight. The Cover-up has extended all the way to the desk where the buck stops and I will not believe otherwise. Katie put her neck on the line to bring the truth out about the botched Operation Fast and Furious and she would have no reason to hide any of the information or to make up the information. How stupid does this Administration think the public is? If Issa believes that only a few ATF people were involved in planning this whole gun “sneaking” plan, he is dumber than Boehner; and it appears that Boehner has had something to hide since he never stepped forward and wanted to convict Holder. What a rotten pot government stirs and expects American People to believe this bs.
marilyn: saying that there were only five atf directors involved makes Katie’s book out to be wrong…and I can assure you her book is not wrong…
Mychal, I have to agree with you on any punishment that these treasonous slime will get, if any, for their part in Fast and Furious and I wish I didn’t. But we don’t have to look any farther than Charlie Rangel’s punishment to see what might be in store for them.
I can just see it now. Harry Reid will or some such big deal will stand up in the hallowed halls and read a harsh letter to them. They might shed a tear, not for what they’ve done, but for the embarrassment of being caught and given a public tongue lashing. The Horror, the Horror (with apologies to Apocalypse Now and Marlon Brando).
Then they can all shake hands, kiss and make up and go have a beer at the white house.
sumitch: once again we are in agreement…
This has to be the most stupid trick ever perpetrated by any government. When I first heard of this I knew immediately what the motives and purposes were behind it. Those responsible should and must pay the consequences.
brian sackett: indeed they must…the question is will they…I suspect they will ultimately circle their wagons to protect their own…
And republicrats will not do a thing about it…as it is the whole investigation got somewhat quiet lately…
Looks like republicrooks have a hard time to sustain the erection…..
brassia: that’s because boehner is to busy playing golf w/ obama and figuring out ways to sabotage izza w/out seeming to…

I can’t believe the congress has decided to ignore this investigation into Obama’s treasonous crimes against America and allowing him to go unscathed for his role in Fast and Furious. At the very least he should be impeached, but frankly he should be tried for treason. Everyone is afraid to act against this man because of the color of his skin but there is no law that says black Americans are excused from committing crimes so this is the wrong way for congress to be handling this matter. If they continue to cower over holding Obama and Holder accountable, they are giving them a green light to commit any number of atrocities against this nation. John Boehner should be removed as speaker of the house for failure to follow through with the sworn duties of his office.
laineyg:htey are doing everything in the oleaginous power to weasel of following this through…it is up to us to make sure it doesn’t happen…I am not a party sycophant nor am I an party ideologue…I have no qualms to call out and name those in congress responsible for this…as I referenced to Katie the following is was reported by jordy yager of the hill.com…read and tell me if I have been wrong or others are afraid to acknowledge that w/out a gun to their heads boehner, cantor, mccarthy are as corrupt as obama, holder, clinton, napolitano…and if allow this persons to get away w/ murder and crimes agaisnt the constitution then they too have blood on their hands are guilty of murder…here is the link I referenced http://thehill.com/homenews/house/231387-mole-helps-rep-issa-whack-doj
we have to nip this corruption in the bud, or it will get much worse.
dave buls: no arguments there…
Thank you so much for the airing of your conversation with Katie Pavlich. Your questions and remarks were very well connected to what Katie has investigated, knows and reports. I will continue to hammer not only my Congressmen but Mitt Romney, as well. I wish I were rich and could buy many books and distribute them to everyone in my community. The procedure to nail Holder and all minions on Fast & Furios seems so very drug out but that appears to be the way our judical system works. Fast & Furious is a case of “Murder;” one would think the case would move a lot faster.
marilyn: they could move faster if boehner, cantor, mccarthy would get out of the way…fast and furious goes all the way to obama…and I’m betting none of them get even a slap on the wrist…resignation w/ full pension and ability to become lobbyist is not punishment…
Mychal, thank you for posting this interview so those of us that for various reasons were unable to get it could listen to it. I just finished listening and it was an hour well spent. What an outstanding young woman! Would that we had many more journalists with her clear thinking and the courage to challenge and expose this criminal cabal of utter evil that has usurped power in this country. As I have said before, I do not believe obama and company actually realize the massive scale of turbulence they will set in motion when they try by any means, whether it be through unconstitutional regulations, executive orders, submitting our sovereignty to the UN, or any other way, to destroy our Second Amendment. They live in a world where they surround themselves with people that either agree with them or are afraid to question or challenge them on anything. Anyone that does is promptly eliminated from the inner circle and intimidated or threatened in some way to ensure their silence. Legislated “protection” of whistleblowers is only an inconvenient joke to their way of thinking. That creates an illusionary environment or bubble around them where they actually believe they are superior to us and are above the laws that govern the rest of us so they can do whatever they want to without any serious repercussions. In their collective arrogance they hold us in contempt if they actually give us any thought at all and believe we will all just sit down and shut up because they “won” and what ever they want to do is the way it will be. They do know Americans have short memories and are easily distracted by the next manufactured “crisis” or the newest game show so if they stonewall long enough the little mice squeaking in feeble protest of their excesses and abuse of power will eventually go away. What I think they do not realize or acknowledge is the centuries old current of individual independence that throbs deep in the American psyche of the majority and even though there are millions that have accepted the taxpayers’ largesse and are willing to cheer them on, there are millions more that do not and will not accept their attempts to rule every aspect of our lives. They had better take a serious look at the fate of the leaders of past dictatorial regimes before they push us over the edge of “enough is enough” and end up paying a price they never thought they would have to pay for indulging in their criminal, treasonous enterprises.
Today, 06 June 2012, marks 68 years since young American, Canadian, and British Soldiers bled and died by the thousands on the beaches and in the hedgerows of Normandy as they breached Hitler’s supposedly impregnable Atlantic Wall and in less than a year forced him into suicide and his country to unconditional surrender. The Axis of Evil was destroyed, not by politicians and bureaucrats but by boots on the ground fighting men and women whose courage and sacrifices should never be forgotten. We must not allow those efforts on our behalf to be in vain through complacency and cowardice or yielding to a bunch of corrupt Chicago style crooks and thugs.
wakinyan: what they didn’t realize is that they would get caught…they’re second mistake was the coverup…that said if left to boehner, cantor, and mccarthy…obama, holder, clinton, napolitano will suffer nothing more than a seat before a committee…which amounts to kabuki theater…
And now this article posted on Townhall by Katie Pavlich…..when is enough, enough? This is like adding insult to injury! Jesse Jackson marching on GUN SHOP OWNERS?

rvd: what do you think about this bit of news which I referenced in my interview w/ Katie…http://thehill.com/homenews/house/231387-mole-helps-rep-issa-whack-doj
I want to call in and listen because I am sure it would be worthwhile but CANNOT find any number to call. Your “click here for call details” just flips me back to this page. I am not real computer savvy so maybe I am not doing something I should???? Frustrating!
wakinyan: not to worry…the teleforum w/ Katie Pavlich has been uploaded onto home page of blog…just click tab marked audio…
I’m not sure how they get away with it, but they do all the time. I must have missed an escape and evasion class somewhere. We butter bars were told that you can delegate authority, but you can’t delegate responsibility. In other words, you could tell a private to clean his weapon, but when the captain did his inspection and found a dirty one, you answered for it. There are three steps to running a good operation. Tell your people what you want done and explain it carefully. Ask for and answer any questions. Then you wander around looking officer-like making sure the job is being done correctly and finally you check to make sure it’s all done well. Generally that will keep your buns out of the boiling water.
Now we have this concept of “plausible deniability”. I take this to mean that if something goes wrong, you can say you didn’t get the memo and pass the buck. The last guy in line gets stuck with the blame. Our current President has honed this skill to a razor’s edge. He’s not responsible for anything (unless it is successful). I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that each day one of the secret service agents is the designated assigned blame catcher. If the President shoots a six over, it’s not his fault. It’s the agents.
Your men and women will love seeing you catch hell, but they’ll respect you for getting in front. No respect means no leadership. No leadership and you have the line from “The Caine Mutiny”. “Standing on the bridge the Captain was watching the activity on deck. It brought to his mind the old saying “When in trouble or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout”.
If you ask for the job or take it when offered, even when the feces are hitting the whirling propeller, you must get in front. Even if it really isn’t your fault. Even if it means you may be the one to take the bullet. Sometimes it’s lonely at the top. Sometimes you’re first in the ice cream line.
sumitch: he is not my president…he’s in office nearly 4 yrs and he’s still blaming bush…and worst yet people believe him…
All the posts make me wish I had my copy of the book. As the Roman Centurion said to Jesus, when Jesus marvelled at his faith, “I get orders, and do, and I send orders, and they go and do as I have ordered, and I know that you can merely say so, and it will be done”, to paraphrase the exchange. We all know that nothing is done by Eric Holder without obama’s say so, because so much of his action has been criminal, and he is not willing to cover by being the fall guy.
There was good reason Harry Truman put the block on his desk that said “The Buck Stops Here”. Lots of presidents before him, including the one right before him, commonly used the excuse, “I didn’t know”. When one has the authority, one is either responsible, or irresponsible, there is no “place” between those two. Obama is either guilty of war crimes against Mexico, and 200 dead Mexican Citizens, or he is guilty of allowing a rogue agent commit War Crimes against Mexico, and as the illegal alien commander in chief, he is responsible for allowing it to take place, and guilty of War Crimes and Treason.
I’m really looking forward to this interview, and praying for Katie and her health and welfare.

john mcclain: I’m looking forward to this time w/ Katie…it promises to be informative and invigorating…
I’m in the midst of reading Katie Pavlich’s “Fast&Furious. So far, it appears the evidence points all the way to the Oval Office. Katie did a great deal of investigation and pehaps putting her in harm’s way but she is one great, unbiased journalist/author!!
marilyn: I have said that from the time it was made known…
I just finished reading “Fast & Furious” by Katie Pavlich, and I must say, this book could very well serve as all the evidence Issa needs to hang not only Eric Holder but Napolitano as well! Excellent read…..and a great job at investigation!
