‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

McCain Endorsement Proves My Point

January 4, 2012

Last night on my twitter, I tweeted, that if Rick Santorum were to win the Iowa Caucus, by this afternoon he would be accused of everything but kidnapping Lindbergh’s baby. I also tweeted that if Ron Paul were to win in a close contest, election officials would be kept recounting until the Romney apparatchiks were done filling out ballots proving he won. I was right on both counts.

The assault on Santorum started before Fox News wrapped their coverage from Iowa last night, when the 25 cents version of Katie Couric, i.e., Megyn Kelly, condescendingly commented that during their individual addresses to their supporters – Santorum found it necessary to talk about his own resume, while Romney focused on what Obama wasn’t doing. Let me translate: she was belittling Santorum because he spoke of the hard work and long months of campaigning in Iowa, and because he spoke of his daughter’s disease. And let there be no doubt whatsoever, her comment was a veiled insult directed at Santorum and intended to diminish him.

Pursuant to my assessment of what would happen if Paul won, I just should have said Santorum instead of Paul. After Santorum won, the Romney camp made a near midnight call to the Republican chairperson in a small Iowa county allegedly claiming they were missing votes from that county. The end result? Romney miraculously comes out the winner by 8 points – go figure. This was after the story that the reason the vote count was taking so long was because of a missing truck from Story County that had final votes on it. There were those who were telling me last night, that they were suspicious the missing truck story was a stall until the Romney camp could come up with miscounts and/or suddenly find missing votes. Before dismissing their skepticism, ask yourself why it just happened to be the Romney camp who discovered the missing votes and called the Republican chairwoman of the county?

This morning there were the obligatory comments from Fox News downplaying Santorum’s showing, saying that it wouldn’t have been close in Iowa, if Romney had really taken it seriously. It was pointed out that he really hadn’t spent a lot time or money there, and that he had only a skeleton staff/crew there. Translation being that he won without really trying. To which I respond: “Don’t you believe it.”

How many more times will it be necessary for Romney votes to miraculously be discovered after another candidate has won? This contest is shaping up to be the most manipulated since Kennedy, with the help of Chicago’s Mayor Daley and the Chicago organized crime, were able to rally enough dead people to defeat Richard Nixon.

Fox News is trumpeting the poll numbers indicating that for 31 percent of the Iowa voters the key quality they were looking for was the candidate’s ability to beat Obama. Folks, as I pointed out in yesterday’s rant, that is an attempt to manipulate your vote. Romney is a disaster. He is Obama redux, in that he talks and talks and says nothing. Watching him campaign and make vacuous promises, reminds me of Obama – he did the same thing in 2008.

To tout Romney’s singular strong suit as being able to defeat Obama isn’t a ringing endorsement for me. I want someone who can lead. Obama was able to defeat McCain, but as we are reminded day after day, he cannot lead and neither can Romney. They are using scare and induced apoplexy to foment fear and hysteria of another Obama term, in an attempt to manipulate your vote. They are trying to get us to vote for a flip-flop and flip again Rino Republican, simply because they say only he has a chance of winning.

“The best chance of winning argument” says exactly what I have been saying for years, and that is that the Republican Party doesn’t give rat’s tail about you and I. They care exclusively about the retention of and the reclaiming of power. We are viewed as their useful idiots and pawns to accomplish that.

I said it in 2005, that elevating Obama above dogcatcher would prove bad for America. I’m warning once again that electing Romney will lead to continued sorrow. He is a New England Republican, which means he is more aligned to the late Ted Kennedy, than he is to true conservatism. Think how Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Scott Brown, and Lincoln Chafee have worked out – they’re all from New England. Then ask yourself if John McCain is going to support someone unlike himself?
