Obama: Arrogant Then – Arrogant Now

Almost a year ago I wrote the following, and it is as true today as it was then. The dishonesty and arrogance displayed hasn’t changed except to become more pronounced. His glib and dismissive, belligerent, attitude about the concerns of those suffering deserves our contempt. Read his comments back then, listen to what he is saying now, and ask yourself if he can be trusted with another term. I correct myself, he’s proven he cannot be trusted, the question to ask is should he have another term?

OBAMA ARROGANCE: UNBOUNDED (WND.com; 4/12/11)
With a smile, Obama glibly told a gathering in New York, “I remember what it was like pumping gas.” Yeah well, good for you, slick, because we remember what it was like to have leadership – and you ain’t it.

Speaking before an Al Sharpton organized group, Obama joked, “I’m not out of touch, I remember that.” Ha-ha-ha, Barry, stop it – you’re killing me – no, I mean it – you’re killing me, and you’re killing my country.

What compounds his insult is his arrogance. Gas prices are up, not because of dependence on foreign oil, but because of a lack of dependence on our own oil and natural gas that he refuses to let be drilled.

Obama claims he wants to move toward a future where America is less dependent on foreign oil and more reliant on clean energy. “That will happen by reducing oil imports … and shifting the nation to renewable and less polluting sources of energy, such as wind.” He continued by saying that it would not happen overnight and any politician who says it’s easy isn’t “telling the truth.”

Here again we witness Obama’s unhesitant cozenage. His statement was an attempt to minimize the strength of argument of those who would truthfully point out that there is oil ready to be delivered, but that it isn’t happening because he shut them down – even as he was not only encouraging and giving money to Brazil to help them drill, but promising them America would be their best customer. Which begs the question of whom he was lying to – the Brazilians or us. One cannot end dependence on foreign oil and at the same time promise to purchase it from a foreign country – unless he believes Brazil is one of the 57 states of America he referred to as a candidate.

Moving on to the subject of wind energy – it doesn’t work for basically the same reason solar energy doesn’t work, because on a level sufficient to make it worth the cost, it’s too intermittent and the energy flux is too low.

“The Baillieu government … dumped Victoria’s renewable energy targets after a scathing audit report found the proportion of the state’s power generated using solar, wind, and hydro had barely increased over the past decade, despite hundreds of millions of dollars of government spending.” (“ALP energy targets a ‘gimmick,’” The Age.) “Energy and Business Minister Michael O’Brien has labeled the renewable targets… an expensive gimmick.”

This is not ipse dixit. In Texas, www.wind-watch.org reports that 30 percent capacity of the wind costs almost three times as much per unit of electricity.

Another thing Obama failed to acknowledge is that his administration’s policies, including regulations on greenhouse gases – the EPA’s backdoor Kyoto – are responsible for some of the price spike we’re experiencing. (See: “Obama’s Presser and Gas Prices: Which Time Was the Left Lying?” March 11, 2011, Christopher Horner, Biggovernment.com.)

Obama no longer even attempts to mask his feeling of insult at being challenged by the mere likes of us. He views with contempt any challenge or question of his authority. That, I argue, lends credibility to what we have been hearing his family life is like. But I digress. He was signaling that, despite its having been turned away twice, he has not given up on cap-and-trade, which he is currently trying to allow the EPA to manage.

Which brings me to my greatest angst with Obama. It’s not only that he is (as far as my cursory research found) the only leader in history to have hidden his entire past, it’s not only that he is the first president in my lifetime to scold and scorn the American public, it’s not just that he and his wife display a regal attitude while you and I struggle to make ends meet in today’s economy.

The ease with which he misleads the American people is cozened and morally opprobrious. That he is then arrogant enough to make condescending jokes about his good fortune at our expense shows forth a scrofulous individual who displays the same contempt for the common man kings and queens of old exhibited for their people.

Just one last sub rant to today’s prime rant. When they are playing our national anthem, I swear that the look on Barry’s face tells me he thinks it’s being played just for him. I wonder how anyone could stand to be around him when he was growing up.

My biggest problem is if BHO wins a second term he will surely get to pick at least two more supreme court justices and stack the court in his favor. If that happends you can kiss your second amendment rights goodby to start with and it will give him and his Attorney General (needed to be charged with treason) carte blache to continue to trample at will over the constitution at an even faster clip than he already has. America as we have known it will cease to exist and we will not be able to go back. This is a dire warning.

DD788snipe, I understand what you are saying, but I guarantee you that our 2nd amendment rights will not be taken away with very many of us lying down. I’ve not talked to a single vet that will let it happen unchallenged. There are millions that have served from the freezing cold of Korea to the green hell of Vietnam to the unforgiving harshness of the weather, the sand and the mountains in Iraq and Afghanistan. They come in here often. They are well trained fighting exactly what Allahbama wants for the USA with him at the helm, so they will know just exactly how to handle his attempts. Rest assured that he will make a mistake eventually that will be just one insult too many and will ignite the fuse. Then, as back up there are always us bone headed Texans where we still believe “He needed killing” is a legal defense. And we still think that Santa Anna just got lucky at the Alamo. We didn’t stop until we found him hiding in the bushes. Ole Sam Houston took a couple of bullets because he didn’t give up. We have him to look up to as well as Audie Murphy, Dwight Eisenhower and my grandmother who faced the Comanche’s in the late 1800’s. Don’t mess with Texas.

My father, his brothers and I fought in the cold war just to see the communist take over the White House. I am completely disgusted. Why so many of the people in this great country drink the coolaid and can’t see this is beyond me. I’m sick and tired of being insulted on a daily basis by the liberial media and the president and his henchmen. It’s the dumbing down of America and it’s appalling. Keep speaking out Mychal.

  6. Questionman March 16, 2012 at 6:29 pm #

Republicans want Obama to fail, making Americans suffer, just so they can get elected
They are destroying our country, just to win the power of the White House and Congress.

Its pretty sick if u think about us.

Not to mention, the way they have been for at least half a century.

When they are in the majority they spend like drunk fools, trample all over the constitution and tell people “Deficits don’t matter” and “If you haven’t done anything wrong, the US government should be able to do whatever they want and spy on you.”

NOW: Put a Democrat into the White House and all of a sudden, these same Republicans get out their guns, literally, saying how things have changed so much, and they will fight to the death for their “Don’t Tread On Me” flags.

FIRST: George W. Bush signed the Patriot Act, which completely trumps the US Constitution.

SECOND: George W. Bush administration forcefully disarmed people during the Katrina disaster.

THIRD: George W. Bush wanted to invade Iraq, when they should of stayed in Afghanistan, but he had finally found a way where he could get away with something he wanted to do for about a decade.

FOURTH: George W. Bush dismantled the branch of government created to find Osama Bin Laden.

FIFTH: He passed the ‘Faith Based Initiatives’ which is unconstitutional, he did this not with the help of congress, but he forced it through, like a Dictator does.

SIXTH: They hate the fact that Obama got (not killed! He didn’t shoot him) one of the biggest terrorist in existance, but they want to give credit to Bush. Give credit to exact same man who, he himseld, said that he QUIT looking for Bin Laden!

Now, I can name many more things, but I want, and granted Obama is basically just following in Bush’s footsteps, it was Bush who opened up the can of worms, he created a precedent, that all future Presidents can use as an excuse to do whatever they want.

Obama is no marxist he is trying to take back the USA from the zionist neocon run Bush thugs and start to rebuild from all the damage the antichrist Bush has done here and abroad.

Obama is no communist, and he’s not a socialist either. He’s a corporatist. Ask any real socialist or communist if Obama is either and they will laugh in your dumb face.

You guys are taken in by anything in your race to prove Obama is a “dictator on the make”, aren’t you?

Obama is a better Christian than most of the hateful righties. The USA Political Right Wing has been irresponsibly stirring up hate by preying upon the naive and fearful.

      Questionman–

The path created by a successful Obama / Democrat party is one that leads to the downfall and destruction of America, including the eventual misery, ruination and death of millions of Americans. History tells us this, repeatedly. Clearly, millions are already suffering, have been financially ruined, and dead due to circumstances created by Obama and his party. Not even accounting for the 50 million murdered babies due to Democrat policy.

Knowing the end result of Obama’s plans, we have no choice but to root for his failure. Obama’s failure, although still painful in its result, is the best thing for America and the momentary pain caused by such, would blossom into a less painful future for our children and grandchildren.

Only a simpleton would fail to understand the logic of undergoing a painful surgery to remove a cancer as a means to save the whole body. Our hopes are that Obama’s failure will finally wake enough people up to see the cancer that Obama and the Democrats are and to remove such from politics. Obama, his wicked, beast of a wife, and the Democrat Party at large are a cancer seeking to devour all that is good and sacred and treasured that made America great and to replace such with the arbitrary, evil dictates of the world’s biggest con-man, named Obama.

We don’t just want Obama to fail for cheap political points, we want Obama to fail because the results of his wicked success are unthinkable.

First things first… who wanted George Bush? Not me. George Bush was not the first choice of any conservative, but he was foisted upon us just like his father was, Bob Dole was, John McCain was, and now Mitt Romney. The 95% Democrat-voting media is largely responsible for giving Conservatives Republican candidates like George Bush, as they control the national dialog. That said, George Bush did do some things right.

      1. Most Conservatives did not support the PATRIOT ACT although many liberals did. Many I know who voted for Obama cited the PATRIOT ACT as a reason to not vote for McCain, yet Obama strengthened the PATRIOT ACT, and of course has since systematically destroyed many other freedoms. Obama has murdered

      2. Although I am quite sure you are not concerned about gun rights… There was martial law in New Orleans after Katrina due to rampant crime and looting… due to the nature of the city’s inhabitants and a failure of the city’s Mayor to handle the situation. Whatever taking of arms there was, it was on a limited basis and now reversed. Whereas, Obama would love to eradicate the 2nd Amendment forever. Big difference, don’t you think?

      3. Your premise that George Bush invaded Iraq as pay back to his father is both juvenile and absurd. Unlike Obama’s unauthorized military action in Libya, George Bush sought and gained approval from both houses, near unanimously. Your statement that we should have stayed in Afghanistan is armchair quarter-backing at best and not historically supported, except by the 95% democrat voting mainstream media and biased political opportunists and operatives. Yet, where is your expressed distaste for the numerous
military actions Obama has undertaken under less serious cause?

      4. I am only aware of three branches of government… executive, legislative and judicial… which one did George Bush dismantle to stop the pursuit of Bin Laden? A little more information here might be appropriate from you if you seek to make this an argument against George Bush. By the way, it was Bill Clinton who actually had Bin Laden available for capture years ago, but declined to do so. Hmmm, convenient to ignore that, right?

      5. Clearly you know little about the Constitution. Perhaps you could provide a little more information about said “Faith Based Initiatives”, how they were executed, how people were damaged by such, what exactly was imposed upon the public, etc. Meanwhile, we have Obama who does dictate to churches behavior 100% repugnant to their religious beliefs.

      6. The Obama Administration, like other Democrat presidents, seeks to dismantle the military. The governmental / military operations put in place by George Bush certainly helped to capture Bin Laden… Obama was just the warm body in office at the time such occurred. And at that Obama was unable to make an immediate decision to kill Bin Laden.

And then, like most liberals I argue with that aren’t fully brain-damaged Obots, you state that Obama is following int the footsteps of Bush… yet you will vote for Obama again and you would never have voted for Bush. And even more hypocritical, you excuse Obama’s behavior as it was “Bush who opened up the can of worms” … Obama is just following precedent. As a conservative I can tell you there is moral and there is immoral, there is just and there is unjust, there is truth and there are lies. I don’t waffle over these ideas and adjust how I feel about such based on whether my candidate is in office… like you and other liberals do.

Obama is a Marxist, Obama is a communist (was a member of the Chicago communist party according to documents) and I wouldn’t ask a communist anything as they are immoral liars and not to be trusted.

Zionist neocon? What a joke, and at the same time revealing that you are a racist like most liberals are. You guys are all about skin color. Neocon is particularly a joke, because Bush was no conservative and if you had any inkling about what it means to be a conservative, you would know that. Nor are most Republicans conservative, but nice try. At a minimum, you could call it Zionist Rhino’s but even that fails since most Jews (including those of means) are inextricably linked to the Democrat party.

We wouldn’t expect a boot-licking, near Obamabot like you to see that his master is a dictator wannabe, just like we can’t expect you to have any idea what an “antichrist” is or a Christian for that matter. You make a lot of assumptions based off of nothing, and other times based off of bits and pieces that you gleam from your masters. In the end, you are just another “useful idiot” serving Obama, weaving your own rope, that your liberal masters will eventually hang you with.

Clearly your opinions are being spoon fed to you by the Obama machine and you have little independent thought. A smart man might start to question themselves a little, determine if they are just a pawn or not. I am guessing you won’t.

      • Mychal March 18, 2012 at 8:06 pm #

david: you cannot expect him to understand your first ppg which is spot on…he has no idea how many conservatives opposed much of what bush did…I for one opposed him at particularly every turn and wrkd on the senate judicial committee to get his judicial picks through…yes we want obama to fail…because if he succeeds it will spell epic hardships and consequences some of which may could take generations to change and/or recover from…but those things mean nothing to questionman because he’s all about color of skin…its sad that he is nothing more than a race monger unable to cogently defend his positions…

      • David March 18, 2012 at 9:33 pm #

Just to finish a thought that got messed in point #1 during editing. At the end of that ppg it says “Obama has murdered…” What I had intended to say to illustrate how far Obama had taken the Patriot Act ideas, was that Obama had allowed the killing (without due process, I’d call it murder) of an American (albeit a turncoat) without due process of law as Constitutionally guaranteed every American. Then we come to hear that Obama now believes he has the right to murder American’s for certain reasons that shall remain a state secret. All you liberal nut-jobs screamed about people being held without trial by Bush, when it was not happening– Yet Obama signs a bill authorizing exactly that and even calls for the murder (“terminate with extreme prejudice” in Washington speak) of an American citizen and you liberals are fine with it.

        • Mychal March 18, 2012 at 10:10 pm #

david: I was referring to his being guilty of sanctioning the murder of unborn and aborted alive children…but you make a strong point about the duplicitous hypocrisy of the left…

    Hello Mr. Massie:

Thank you for your daily rants on our President and First Lady. I have listened to some blacks, and they are upset that President and Mrs. Obama are not getting the respect they deserve. In my opinion, if our President and First Lady do not respect the American people nor our great country they represent which is the USA, then they do not deserve any respect. I would like your feedback on this. Thank you again and keep up the good work.

latanga: what more feedback need I give…lol…respect is earned not dispensed based on melanin content…

    • sumitch March 17, 2012 at 5:51 pm #

Latanga, the very fact that Obama is in office is proof that a lot of us honk persons are willing to stand with our Black brothers of like mind and vice versa. We both made a big mistake last election. We’ve come a long way since the 50′s. To paraphrase the song, “We’ve come a long ways baby”. There are still trouble makers in both clans, but less than there used to be. If we unite to get this traitor out of office a bond will be formed that will last a long, long time. I didn’t vote for him because he’s black (or half black or whatever). I didn’t vote for him because he lied during his campaign and I heard it and knew it. One day the Republicans will screw up and find a candidate worth our votes. Or the Democrats will do a better job of vetting their candidate. I really believe that, evidence to the contrary

  10. Marilyn March 16, 2012 at 2:47 pm #

Mychal, Thanks. > Obama knows that U.S. oil is here. He flagrantly puts billions of dollars into solar and wind energy because he knows that type of energy will take years to test and trillions of dollars to perfect. We Don’t Have That Kind Of Money Right Now! He Knows It. Remember: To destroy a Society, you must first destroy their money. And, that is what Obama has been doing with all the “spending” on foolish adventures as Mychal has mentioned. Dumb Twitts! The first amendment was just decapitated to not allow any person/group (This bill also means “Occupiers?”)near the security lined White House. No groups can converge to expound upon their disapproval of anything the White House puts out as mandate. Republicans and Democrats alike approved the bill and Obama signed it March 8. The stage is set for “Gun Control.” Both parties know this will surely bring out the beast in American People. And, it will. But, I believe that this might be where we are headed. The elite need to protect themselves. If the tromp on the first amendment doesn’t mean the afore metioned, it could be the intened Obama impeachment 1. Committing to war in Syria without Congress approval or 2. Obama is not a viable president due to his false birth certificate and his ‘past’ expensively well covered. As for EPA, they have proven to be worthless. They only follow rules that are set forth by other committees and can not wipe their own behinds for worrying about the color of the toilet paper.

      marilyn: loved your last sentence…lol…

    • sumitch March 18, 2012 at 12:08 am #

Here’s a tidbit that blows wind generated electricity out of the water. They are so prone to breakdown that the existing generating plants operating on nasty old oil or nasty gas have to stay on line in case they need to pick up the load when the windmills fail. And the ground under them is littered with the corpses (I’m not talking about several Marines there Barry) of dead birds that ran into the blades which in turn attractss the coyotes to a free lunch. I dare to expose this even though the blades are manufactured just 40 miles north of Dallas where a lot of oil field workers need the work now that the wells are silent. Plus the cost of the exectricity generated is several times as much as that generated by existing plants. No danger of climate change here, but a definate relationship to the coyote population.

      • Mychal March 18, 2012 at 8:49 pm #

sumitch: if this was bush the environmentalists would be apoplectic…and the media would be only to happy to blather it 24/7…as it is the cacophony of silence is darn near deafening…

  11. BorderCollieMan March 16, 2012 at 11:25 am #

By the way, America does not have a president, and has not had since January, 2009. We have an imposter and usurper in the White House, not a valid, bona fide president. Obama was illegally elected because he was never and is not now eligible under the Constitution to be president. Being voted into office does not nullify the Constitutional requirements for the office. Neither does it prove his eligibility. The Communist Party has stolen Washington, D.C. They did not lose the Cold War; they no longer have to fight.

Mychal, my unhesitating answer to the question at the end of your first paragraph is a resounding, shouted NO!!!! He should have never been allowed to run the first time and he should not be allowed to seek a second term. Not only is he not qualified by birth, he is not qualified in any other way that I can see. He has been arrogantly holding the office illegally, hence everything he has signed into law or decreed by executive order and illegal appointments should be ruled null and void. It is apparently beyond my poor comprehensive abilities to understand why people can’t see what a hollow fraud his life has been and the consequent damage that he has done to this point. I’m not yet sure what the trigger is going to be that will set it off, possibly several things at once, but we can only be pushed so far before we give up on expecting congress do their duty and remove him and take that DUTY into our own hands. Watch and see, if he and hillary try to commit us to the UN small arms controls and restrictions. If he has the gall try to bring in UN troops to accomplish the actual confiscations, I think he will slam into a solid wall of more fierce resistance than his narcistic denial that the sheep would dare to object to his wishes would let him see. The republicans MUST stand up on their hind legs and tell him just flat NO! We are not going to let you destroy this nation. If he is able to cheat his way into a second term because not enough people wake up by November to what he is doing and where he will take the country if he gets another four years then I am convinced that the last chance to stop him peacefully will have been thrown away. If he were to get another four years of the free rein he currently enjoys, he will entrench himself so solidly as a dictator that nothing short of armed revolution will ever rid us of him.

wakinyan: I don’t see him becoming unmovable…we must focus on congress as well as presidency…we need to replace boehner cantor hatch and the others who have been there far to long…career politician should be an oxymoron…

Spot on Mychal (I still don’t think I know exactly what that means). I like my Representative quite a bit, but I’d throw him under the bus if it would help get rid of the dead weight. And he would understand.

sumitch: that’s the attitude we need to get things done…

This mans political demise can not come fast enough to suit me.

rod: amen amen and amen…I say we work to expose him and force him out of the closet…

And he seems to be helping us do just that lately. I was happy to see the House stand up on their hind legs for a change and stop the 15 member ccommittee that was to be answerable to only him and charged with the task of deciding just how much could be spent for Medicare. It’s a start.

sumitch: let me know how that works out…

Mychal: Anyone thinking favorably of Obama must be lead to your points about BHO: He is two-faced ~ claiming our oil is no good and we must ONLY pursue renewable energy (which is presently non-existant from a viable economic standpoint) but it is perfectly okay for the Saudi (or anoyone else) to drill for oil and sell it to us (and for us to continue buying it!). We’ve got lots of our own oil, gas, coal (and some renewable energy) and there’s NO reason we cannot be 100% self-sufficient on energy. BHO knows it but is intent on destroying our country for his own ideology.

aardvark: we have trillions of barrels of oil in the ground…and that’s oil not natural gas…with the oil and natural gas we have we should never again have to import oil…and our gas prices should be below a $1…what we aren’t told is governent wants gas prices high because they get crap pot load of tax dollars when its high…

Right as rain Mychal. We have the Bakkan that hasn’t been touch to speak of. We just discovered a vertical pool of billions of barrels in the mid north states and think there’s another 25 miles from Las Vegas. Our production in the gulf is off by millions of barrels. Give us a real leader.

sumitch: some estimates run upwards of a trillion barrels fox business reported friday morning….even at 175 billion barrels that a lot of oil for a long time…and that doesn’t include natural gas…but dickhead wants algae…
