Obama Pushes Algae While Michelle Pushes Socialism

My late grandmom used to remind me that, “only a fool defends their mistakes and most fools do.” Obama would do well to consider her sage advice. Yesterday, in what was billed as an energy speech, he said: “anybody who tells you that we can drill our way out of this problem [i.e., to energy independence and lower fuel costs], doesn’t know what they’re talking about, or just isn’t telling you the truth.” This came right after his obligatory “it’s not my fault because blah-blah-blah.”

He’s the president, and like it or not, fair or not, what takes place during his administration he shoulders both the blame and/or credit for. Imagine New England Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick saying, “it’s not my fault we lost the super bowl. I didn’t play, I did my part – Tom Brady’s the one who blew it. It was the fault of the other coaches.” Can you imagine that? Leaders accept responsibility, and specific to that point, energy price increases are his fault – everyone knows it and business commentators are finally reporting it.

I’m not going into the legion of truthfully factual reasons Obama is responsible for increased energy prices, but let us not forget the September 2008 admonition of Steven Chu, (shortly before he would become Obama’s Secretary of Energy), when he praised the benefits of having gasoline prices rise over 15 years as a means to encourage energy efficiency. In a conversation with The Wall Street Journal, he advocated, with Obama’s later approval, for gas prices to be in line with Europe. At that time fuel prices in Europe were between $8 and $10 per gallon.

Just this morning, Matthew L. Higgins, writing for CBS Tampa, wrote that: “According to GasBuddy.com, motorists are shelling out $5.89 for a gallon of regular gas at a Shell station in Lake Buena Vista, topping out at $5.99 a gallon for premium. It doesn’t get better at a Suncoast Energy station in Orlando, where drivers are paying $5.79 for a gallon of regular.” He quoted Jessica Brady, AAA spokeswoman, who said: “It doesn’t look like we will have relief at the pump anytime soon.” (Florida Drivers Shelling Out Nearly $6 A Gallon At Some Gas Stations) I do not need tell you what those prices are doing to your food budgets.

Obama’s remedy yesterday, was not to admit that after hundreds of billions of dollars we have literally no green jobs and it is a fact that we no biofuels to show for the wasted taxpayer money. No siree bob, his great announcement was to say there was no “silver bullet” and to propose “algae” as a way of cutting dependence on oil by 17 percent.

The question that no one is talking about is: let’s say for the sake of argument they find a way to make algae work, what are they going to put it in? How do they purpose to retrofit the automobiles on the road today or the model years upcoming? Did he consider what this would do to independent garages and repair shops, which are consistently able to service autos for hundreds of dollars less than dealers? Have they considered the cost of refitting fuel pumps to deliver the proposed product?

When I was growing up we were led to believe that one day in the near future we would have families making routine vacation trips to the moon, that we would have flying cars, and the like. We see how those fanciful ideas worked out.

A Wall Street Journal editorial had the best response: “The American people aren’t stupid,” thundered President Obama yesterday in Miami, ridiculing Republicans who are blaming him for rising gasoline prices. Let’s hope he’s right, because not even Forrest Gump could believe the logic of what Mr. Obama is trying to sell. (‘Stupid’ and Oil Prices; 2/24/12)

And as if Obama’s act wasn’t specious and Barmecidal enough, Michelle Obama‘s performance was even more scurrilous and morally opprobrious, but it’s safe to say none of same was out of character for either of them.

Michelle Obama told a group gathered at a Cincinnati, Ohio hotel, who paid up to $10,000 per person depending on what portion of the luncheon they were attending: “If any family in this country is struggling, we can not be satisfied with our own families good fortune. Will we be a country where success is limited to a few at the top?”

That’s a darn good question coming from her royalness, who treats being the First Lady like a reparations queen. She is the one jet setting around at a cost of nearly $200,000 per hour for the plane alone. She is the one who takes one lavish vacation after another, and she is the one who had the unmitigated arrogance to spend $50,000 taxpayer in one trip on underwear and bras at Agent Provocateur, the store that bills itself as selling “the most erotic lingerie in the world.”

Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, introduced her as “a woman of intelligence.” My grandmother always told me that “intelligence doesn’t make you smart, but it can make you stupid.” I’d say grandmom knew what she was talking about.

Ms. Obama promised the small gathering that “Change does not come easy, change is slow, but we will get there. We are fighting for our sons and our daughters, our grandchildren, and what kind of future they will have.” Well, as they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day. She didn’t realize how right she was, because that is exactly what you and I are fighting for. We know it won’t be easy and that it will take us until November – but getting rid of them for the sake of our families future is why we fight.

I conclude with an observation: the silver spoon she was photographed with in her mouth, doesn’t belong to her. That spoon is symbolic of the opportunity for the America people – paid for with the blood of patriots. Those of us for whom it was paid are determined to see that she and her equally unscrupulous husband will not be successful in destroying what they fought for us to have.

Listen! This was supposedlyB Obama’s intention prior to the 2008 election. Have we seen any progress as far as biofuel incentives goes?

odell hasenfratz: I’ve seen billions of dollars spent in payola on it…

While Obama is thinking “algae” we must remember that America has lost 32% of its manufacturing jobs since 2000. In 2009, 12 million Americans worked in manufacturing. The last time this happened was 1941. The deindustrialization of the United States should be on every American’s mind. Obama can eat his pond scum and maybe that will prevent him from ever having cancer but it will not help Americans to have manufacturing skills and jobs. Michelle can preach her agenda to keep our children’s diets under the government’s thumb but parents can crush her ideas if they stand up to each school and say enough is enough. What we will do about manufacturing real goods/products again in the United States and not some kind of green crap that Obama is feeding us, is a huge problem and needs turned around and very quickly for America’s survival. Plus, we cannot wait another 20 years to find reasonable wind and sun powered energy that actually works as Obama demands NOT to use our Natural Resources. My son said that everyone should be driving a fuel efficient car and not the big vehicles and gas hogs. I asked him, “What delivers goods to your store each day so you can sell to the public? Big Fat Semi Trucks, that’s what, and they use diesel. That’s why you have to keep raising the price on your products and cut back on your employee positions so you can pay the remaining employees and take home your $50.00 each week.” My very own son whom I’ve taught better than that is turning algae….green. Iknow I’ve covered a couple different issues here but when you think about it, it all comes together somehow.

Hi Mychal, I just spent the last 3 hours reading your articles I have missed and I thank you for being so eloquent in your words. I have a request: Could you please write about the NDAA famous New Years eve signed mandate with executive power,???
I would very much appreciate it. Thank you as always.

Going to the base root of the Algae issue where it will be used as the feedstock to manufacture ethanol to be used in our gasoline engines (that’s what they are. glorified air pumps made to work on gasoline). The technology is there. It can be done. But it costs a heck of a lot more per gallon than gasoline does and so do the cars. So the very limited range really doesn’t make much difference because no one will be able to afford to drive them except for you nasty criminal rich people making over $250,000 a year. And you’ll probably take your money and move to Brazil or some place where the politicians haven’t gone nuts and where a significant part of them are near or are criminals that have and are doing things that you and I would be in prison so deep for they’d have to pump sunlight to us if we did the same thing.

Have you ever wondered why there’s only 10% – 15% ethanol blended in with gasoline at the service stations? Mainly because ethanol burns hotter than gasoline and it will fry our gasoline engines. There’s no way to retrofit them, you can just blend with limited amounts of ethanol. The reduction in green house emissions are limited. Yes Brazil runs on almost 100% sugar cane based ethanol, but they have been on it as a fuel for years and their engines are built for it.

It would take years and years to build and sell ethanol engines for our automobiles not to mention the millions out there already using gasoline ones that would have to be retired from use and the cost is prohibitive, but this administration doesn’t seem to be too worried about cost does it? Especially when you are footing the bill.

Then we have the electric motor driven automobile. Ignore the fact that there is very limited milage per battery charge. Ignore the 10 hours it takes for a recharge. Don’ pay any attention to the cost of these things vs. gasoline (thousands of dollars). The cost of the replacement batteries is only a few hundred (thousand?) dollars. Don’t figure out how much your electric bill will go up when you start charging for ten hours every 30 – 50 miles driven (and you’re out of transportation for that 10 hours). Ignore the fact that the electric generating industry is the most poluting in the United States as most are fired with either natural gas or oil as a fuel(both hydrocarbon fuels).

All this trouble and expense to reduce carbon dioxide because it is causing global heating (climate change) which will raise the temperature of the earth and melt the ice caps causing the seas to rise 30′ and millions will die, not to mention most of Florida will be gone with the loss of Mickey World and the orange groves.

Except the whole global warming fiasco has pretty much been based on delibertly falsified records to force the numbers to fit the desired result and that there is an approximate 25,000 year normal warming and cooling cycle to the earth that has caused all the global cycles for the last several thousands of years ( Neandethals didn’t drive cars).

The cost would be staggering and along with Cap and Trade will be more than enough to bankrupt our nation ignoring everything else we have done and are doing. The eruptions of the volcanos in Iceland this year that caused so much trouble with air flights spewed enough carbon dioxide into the air to nulify everything mankind has done to reduce them for the last ten years. How we going to stop the eruptins that are normal? And what about the majority of countries that aren’t even thinking about reducing emissions because they need to worry about how to put beans on the table tomorrow.

It’s been called the biggest scam in the history of the world.

Thank you. I felt compaled to give you a thumbs up. You demonstrate rare intelligence. Next let’s crater wind energy. Someone hasn’t been giving us the truth, the whole truth or anything close to the truth. And let us not ignore hydrogen; the fuel of the future (and it always will be)

  5. Klunky-209 February 25, 2012 at 1:28 pm #

Obama pushing algae technology is quite fitting and idea from our pond-scum president and the First Harridan.

America deserves better than the Obama’s.

  6. Klunky-209 February 25, 2012 at 1:23 pm #

I have rarely see such truly small, petty man as Obama has turned out to be. Pompous. Thin-skinned. Chin held high in arrogant defiance. Truly sickening. As is his hideous ghoul of a wife, who more closely resembles the beast from FRANKENSTEIN CONQUERS THE WORLD than a First Lady.

    You be the judge: http://www.eccentric-cinema.com/images2007/movie_pix_a-i/FCTW-02.jpg

And regarding the prior mentioned simpleton Forrest Gump– I’d rather have Forrest Gump as president than the commie-clown we have now. At least Forrest Gump had values, was hones and loved America. Forrest respected the rights of others and the laws of his country. Forrest Gump puts the filthy Obama’s to shame.

Mr. Obama, I’m sorry neither of your parents wanted you as a child, they were both filthy commies, just like you and your wife are now. What do you expect from self-ish, commie parents? That aside, please don’t take your disappointment and anger over your loser parents out on America. America didn’t do you wrong, your own idiot parents did.

Which brings to my wandering mind ole Marie Antoinet. If memory serves, she kinda lost her head didn’t she? What I took from that tale was that she didn’t give a hoot about the population of France (either). She only cared for herself and her wishes. She could eat filet, but let them eat cake. I wonder if Obama and gang have mulled over her demise and what is happening to many of the despots in Africa? Didn’t (aren’t) these now dead, deposed or under attack live like the Obamas are now living at the expense of the people? We don’t have a guillotine handy, but notice is taken that far better Presidents have been shot or desposed by those that eat cake.

Speaking of $50,000 underware, that may work out to be a deal if you look at it from the standpoint of cost per square inch. Anyone notice the area of what it is trying to cover?

      Did I type that outloud?

Thanks, Mychal. Good Rant. I have painted Obamas as ‘Dumb and Dumber’ and this is still flattering compared to how they are destroying the USA. So, I will go back to the drawing board and perhaps create from Greek Mythology. I will find enough evil characters that will be well suited…each one bent on destruction.

  10. Seafarer Chief February 25, 2012 at 10:31 am #

Mychal. All this retoric is never going to solve anything.
Action must be taken to remove this blot on our great country.
November 2012 can’t come soon enough but it may already be too late. Remember there are prophecies that Dec 2012 will be the end of all.

    • Annie1 February 25, 2012 at 12:14 pm #

      Seafarer Chief: What prophecies?

      • sumitch February 25, 2012 at 4:29 pm #

Annie 1- the supposed end of the world as fortold in the Inca books (book – only one survives thanks to the Christian Spanish Zealots}. Except they only tell of great change when the book just stops and when the long count of their unbelievably accurcate calendar is used for forecasting. Or at least that’s the way I understand it.

        • sumitch February 25, 2012 at 4:32 pm #

          Mayan, not Inca. My bad.

    • David February 25, 2012 at 1:12 pm #

      Seafarer–

You say: “All this rhetoric is never going to solve anything.”

I disagree. Any effort to defend against warmongers (and the Obama’s have definitely declared war against America) requires rhetoric. Many people feel they way we do but are unable to put an name to it, to put words forth to describe what they think.

The phrase “The pen is mightier than the sword” is as true today as it was when first coined.

Rhetoric helps build consensus of thought, rhetoric becomes action. Take a look at what the filthy liberals have done, and realize that they have been putting out rhetoric since the 60′s. Tell me it hasn’t had effect.

Regarding the Mayan calendar being prophecy– As none of its originators are around to answer question, it merely amounts to a lot of speculation, no more reliable than finding someones 10-year day planner ending on Dec. 31 2019 and assuming it means anything.

      • sumitch February 25, 2012 at 4:38 pm #

Right as rain David. Look what the rhetoric of Allahbama got him and where it’s gotten us.

You must have seen the same explanation of the Mayan prophecy on the History Channel like I did. Except you did a better job of putting it to words with explanation and example than I did.

    • sumitch February 25, 2012 at 4:50 pm #

Action will come Chief. In about 9 months if there is any justice at all. Then maybe our cowardly Congress will start the legal charges and trials. My mouth almost waters when I think of it.

As we have shared before Mychal our grandmothers were cut from the same cloth, takes one to know one comes to mind this morning. Pond scum he should know about! As for the queen, the world IS round!
Thank you for all your rants Mychal, also thank you for the introduction to Dan Bubalo two voices of reason during a time when reason seems to be lost.

  12. Annie1 February 25, 2012 at 8:56 am #

Thank you, once again, for bringing us the truth about King and Queen Obama.

When I heard the POTUS say: “The American people aren’t stupid…” I almost choked while gasping for air and I said out loud: “NO! We’re not stupid but you sure as the devil think we are!”

I am so sick of hearing King Obama spew his lies! I think he mostly just likes to hear himself talk but we are getting into deep deep trouble the longer he’s in office b/c he is promoting socialism in a BIG way!

As for Queen Obama I am sick to death of seeing the words “partnering with First Lady blah blah blah…” I just read those words in my very first issue of a new subscription to PREVENTION magazine and it made me want to cancel my subscription! A couple months ago I tore the cover off my READER’S DIGEST magazine b/c Queen Obama was on the cover!

Mostly I am sick to death of both the King and Queen b/c they are intent on turning this country into a socialistic country.

Hey! We can be assured of one thing. People say Obama is the anti-Christ. NO HE IS NOT. And we can know for sure he isn’t because the anti-Christ will be liked and admired by everyone! :-)

    • sumitch February 25, 2012 at 5:14 pm #

Does Obama think we’re stupid or does he just think there’s nothing we can or will do about it?

  13. Branwen February 25, 2012 at 1:02 am #

so then if Condi Rice and Tim Scott ran together on the same ticket would that not make Obama the white candidate? just saying. so N Korea got the bomb under and even via the Clinton administration and will Iran get the bomb under Obamas watch? just saying. but we will all worry about algae right now.
