In 2008 Obama famously (albeit foolishly), said that he would (and I paraphrase) have those in the Middle East like us again. I guess he had visions of them shouting in unison “We accept [him] – one of us, one of us,” ala the 1932 movie “Freaks.” Well, he may be one of some of them, but Afghan students made an effigy of him complete with a rusty iron bar securely inserted in that part of the body most people sit on, with a sign attached to his back, that read “black dog Obama.” Which after the requisite time of shouting anti-U.S. epithets and protesting as only they can, the effigy was set afire. It would seem that his “home boyz” aren’t particularly pleased with him these days.
They were peeved because as they saw it, the Koran had been dissed when it was burned at a US-run military base in Jalalabad. Feeling their pain, Obama sent a personal of apology to Afghan President Hamid Karzai, stating: “I wish to express my deep regret for the reported incident, I extend to you and the Afghan people my sincere apologies.” The letter continued, “The error was inadvertent – I assure you that we will take the appropriate steps to avoid any recurrence, to include holding accountable those responsible.” Saying that the burning was done “out of ignorance.”
Ok, I’ll concede for the sake of argument that it was appropriate, albeit, I’m still waiting for Muslims to not just apologize for murdering Christians, but to renounce it and put an end to it. But I digress.
Obama made it a priority to show charity to Muslims, but my grandmom always said: “charity begins at home and then spreads abroad.” Specific to that point, I’m still waiting for Obama to apologize for not instructing Eric Holder to leave no stone unturned to hold accountable the New Black Panthers, who engaged in an act of voter intimidation so blatant, that even liberal lawyers decried their actions. I sent Obama letters in my official capacity as Chairman of Project 21, asking him to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate Holder’s office for the improper handling of the matter. Obama ignored my official requests, he ignored official requests from others, and as we know Holder with Obama’s approval gave the New Black Panthers carte blanche to continue their hateful behavior.
Obama saw nothing wrong with the aggressive acts of racial belligerence by jack-booted black thugs, but he could hardly contain his contempt for the Cambridge Police Department, as they acted in accordance for concern and safety of the a citizen.
Where is Obama’s apology to the people of Arizona and Alabama for forcing them to suffer under the escalating financial burden brought on by increasing numbers of illegal aliens? Doesn’t he view the increased financial burden, the increased violence, human trafficking and drugs as harmful to those residents? Why doesn’t he apologize to them for suing their states?
Where is Obama’s apology to Border Agent Brian Terry’s family and the America people for his murder as a result of Fast and Furious, the federal government’s illegal gunrunning scheme? How can Obama promise to hold accountable military personnel responsible for burning a book, but show no concern or compassion whatsoever for the murdered border agent or for the hundreds of Mexicans murdered due to the illegal scheme?
Where is Obama’s apology for ignoring our Constitutional rights, specifically by forcing us to participate in his socialist health scheme? Where is his apology to the Catholic Church for making them defend the tenets of their faith vis-a-vis abortion and birth control?
Where is Obama’s apology to the taxpayers who are footing the bill for him, and specifically for Michelle Obama who spends tens of millions of taxpayer dollars on lavish trips, extravagant vacations, $50,000 underwear shopping trips, and using the Presidential aircraft as her private jet at a cost of nearly $200,000 an hour? Doesn’t he think, it would be nice to apologize to us for her behavior since he is always attacking the rich? Or does he think her behaving like an empress is not synonymous with his calls for fairness? Of course another way to look at it is that she isn’t spending her money – she’s spending ours – I guess that comes under a different heading pursuant to redistribution?
Obama has a lot to apologize for including the lies and blaming of others in today’s energy speech. But he finds it more important to apologize to Muslims than the people who are responsible for his and his wife’s lifestyle, and to whom he pledged an oath to uphold their Constitution. Maybe he has other reasons for ignoring the citizens of the Untied States and bowing to the Muslims – who knows, since he takes extraordinary measures to keep his past secret.

if the koran was burned on purpose than that was truly a stupid thing to do. why create more problems? its a lack of leadership and discipline. but if it was simply a mistake. then it shows the true backwards, radical out of control mindset of the local population. to kill people for burning a book? and somehow God is ok with that? I knew a guy who used to burn bibles every Halloween, not one single Christian tried to kill him or burn down his house. I read an article about Muslims that was enlightening. I want to know what we are “up against.” Now, I understand why Muslims cannot move forward on human rights and living in peace. They are idiots. Their laws allow marriages of First Cousins! If that is done long enough, they get a country of “idiots.” And, idiots cannot think for themselves and do very strange, bad deeds. The idiots need idiot dictators so they have them. If you follow a dictator’s genealogy chart, you will find that he is his own grandpa. I understand the reason why Obama apologized to Karzi for what most people understand was an inappropriate thing to do, considering one of the reasona we are in Afghanistan is to win over the hearts and minds of the Afghan people. His apology was supposed to help disarm the predictable emotional reaction that the media has focused on. Obviously his well intentioned effort seemed to have failed because that kind of diplomatic effort has very little meaning to radicals in that country. The question is: Will we ever learn from this issue? How much longer will we continue to strive to change a culture that is so ingrained in people whereby things we do only conflicts with our perceived good intentions? How much longer are we going to spend the time, money and blood on a nation building project that has no guarantee of working. It’s time to change our strategy and tactics when it comes to protecting ourselves against terrorist and other enemies, and leave such countries alone to live their lives as they have done over the past several centuries. If the people there don’t like their lives as it is, then let it be up to them to find someplace else to live, or let them find a way to change things. Obviously it’s not our place to get involved.
These people are never going to offer us an olive branch or take ours. Our bowing down and apologizing will never bring peace between our countries. Their hatred for us runs deep and all that we are doing to appease them makes them see us as weak, lying fools. We could never make them happy – they will never accept us. We could hand Karzai the keys to the White House and he’d go in and trash it and then oppress us as his people have been for centuries. There is no peace with them – and frankly, maybe they want it that way. Who are we to try to go in and tell them they must be a democratic society any more than they can come over here and tell us we must abide by Sharia law?
I don’t really care whether he apologizes to America or not because it would just be so much more meaningless hot air. I just want him to leave and take his wife with him. Go back to the land of his birth in Kenya and leave us alone to try to rebuild what he has already destroyed. He, along with a totally incompetent, spineless and yes, treasonous, congress, senate, and judicial appointees, have done more damage to our country and Constitution than any single one of his predecessors including the clintons and they were bad enough. And since he is a Marxist, racist, fraudulent usurper from the beginning he should not be permitted to enjoy any of the perks and privileges a former president would normally be entitled to, including lifetime Secret Service protection. He really should go to prison for his crimes while in office but I don’t want a single one of my tax dollars to be spent on supporting him. He and his partners in crime have already ripped us off so badly that recovery, if it ever happens, will take a long time and no phony apology can ever compensate for that.

If you want to fight Obama and change the course, you have to understand that much of his base is poor, uneducated, disenfranchised blacks and latinos. Many of them are so poor and uneducated, that they are very happy to vote for a little welfare, because these are the people who no one has ever helped to succeed, be happy, or prosperous. It’s that simple. Of course, you eventually run out of taxpayer money to get their votes, because you can’t afford to keep buying people off. As President, Obama is still responsible for his actions, and the taxpayer money. If the economy collapses because of too much debt, and throws millions into poverty, we will have civil strife. If the economy succeeds, and the middle class returns, Obama will be history’s greatest president. Here in Washington, we are seeing new roads, bridges,construction. This leads the middle class to believe that the government is really in it for the middle class. Whether its a ruse or not, the very poor and ignorant don’t get that, because they are not planners, they are not travelers, they have not seen the devious works of dictators like you and I have. Al Sharpton is not afraid to be ghetto in order to get his message across, but he probably has no idea of what Obama’s long term agenda is. None of us do. Whether he is a savior of the middle class, or a Hitler waiting in the wings and gaining popularity, none of us knows but a few people. The poor and ignorant will vote in desparation, to anyone who will step up to the microphone and help them.

I have to disagree with your comment that these are the people who no one has ever helped to suceed, be happy or prosperous.
For the last 50 years billions of dollars have been spent to give them the opportunity to get educated, to give them lodging and food. To even give them cell phones and color TVs. No one made them not pay attention in school or drop out when they are 14. No one made them trash the lodging given to them and turn it in to a slum. No one made them buy dog food, candy and beer with the money given them for food.
These people have found a free ride and along with a little drug money or thieving manage to live better than folks that actually try to take advantage of the education available and the work out there to become prosperous. We’ve (actually our Congress has created a permanent poor, uneducated lower class in return for their votes to keep them in office. Obama is doing the same thing with his under the table amnesty that he lied about and said was not being worked on. All this and more is the reason we need to get him and his cabinet out of office and clean house in the Congress.
Personally I’m tired of being blamed for the failures of others. It’s not my fault that they are lazy, uneducated, criminal bums. It’s theirs. I don’t mind giving a hand up, but I’m sick of delivering their food and washing their cars. I’m tired of the excuses and false reasons that they live the lives they live. With apologies to those out there to have and are trying.

Not only would I not encourage my son to join any of our armed services, I would do all I could to stop him. I can’t imagine being a parent with a child serving. My blood was boiling and I don’t know anybody currently serving.

Somehow I’ve forgotten the heartfelt apology that we received from the Muslins when they filmed them cutting off the head of one of ours and put it on the web for the world to see and hear. Obama’s goal, in my opinion, is and always has been to destroy the United States of America. Our culture, freedoms, laws and religious convictions are all fair game for this Obamanation of a person. There has been a lot of argument about his birth, background and plans. I am beginning to wonder if he is even from planet Earth. Most of our apologies have been paid for in blood by many other Bible-toting Christians (along with others) who gave the last full measure of devotion from Lexington Green, to Tripoli, thru Chapultapec, Gettysburg, up the slopes of San Juan Hill, over the top at Chateau Thierry, while freezing in Bastogne and the Chosin Reservoir, sweating out Khe Shan, the deserts of Kuwait, and the mountains of Afghanistan and the wastelands of Iraq.
