Here it comes and to those of you who have been following me it should come as no surprise. That said, in all fairness, anyone with a modicum of common sense had to know it was coming also. I’m talking about the racial attacks against Mitt Romney. Let me once again make it clear–I am not a Romney supporter nor will I be. So following is not a treatise in support of “my candidate.”
The Washington Examiner is reporting that a bigoted, white, liberal group is calling Romney “too white for blacks to like.” The Examiner reports: “The group is directed by Razor & Tie co-founder Cliff Chenfeld, former Media Matters for America president Eric Burns, former AOL chief creative officer and co-founder of theknot.com Michael Wolfson, and former New York Times journalist Andrew Zipern. ‘The Message’s [an online media hub] unique mix of entertainment experience, political and messaging savvy, online creativity and distribution expertise, and a journalist’s eye makes it the platform Democrats and progressives need to lift their voices above the Republicans and have a cultural conversation that molds this election cycle and beyond,’ added the release.” (Liberal Group Calls Romney Too White For Blacks To Like; WashingtonExaminer.com; 7/10/12)
Let me sum it up for you. The sensus plenior of their admonition their saying, “The message…makes it the platform Democrats and progressives need to lift their voices above the Republicans and have a cultural conversation that molds this election cycle and beyond” is this: They are advocating the use of racial politics to brand all Republican and conservative candidates as anti-blacks. The objective being to incite blacks to oppose Republicans/conservatives based solely on color of skin.
The only way their message gets any more offensive is that there is no shortage of blacks who are eagerly willing to buy into such a sinful, divisive message.
The question that is asked by fair-minded individuals is: “When will this kind of evil stop?” The simple answer is that it will stop when We the People stop allowing this type of discourse to gain traction.
The way to accomplish that is to confront it head on. What does it say pursuant to the opinion white liberals have of blacks? What does it say about the opinion that many blacks have of themselves? Need I point out that cities and states across the nation have blacks in key leadership positions? Did whites help them get elected or vote for them? Was the black vote by itself enough to elect Obama or did it take a substantial number of white votes?
As I said, the admonitions of the bigoted, white, liberal groups are not only contemptible, but they also show the low opinion they have of blacks. The overwhelming majority of Americans, regardless of their political persuasions, could not be less interested in holding blacks down. But there is a small subsection of hateful, malevolent, bigoted, white Marxist liberals who aspire to use race to keep blacks in line with their agendas and to bludgeon others into silence.
The level of black animus toward whites, before Obama, his wife, and their Marxist-Leninist minions took office, may not have necessarily been on the decline as such, but it was nowhere near the level it is today.
It is my unapologetic opinion that racial assignations have never been anything but a tool to keep us separated and to foment antagonism between people based on color of skin. White bigots used it during slavery and during the Jim Crow era. The Klu Klux Klan used it to divide and terrorize. Now the progeny of those groups are using it to keep blacks angry and segregated.
It is a shameful act to prostitute race as currency in order to retain power and rank. Blacks should be outraged that these bigoted liberal groups think so little of them as to treat them in such a way. They should be outraged that the man they champion as president advocates, in unprecedented proportions, the murder of their unborn babies.
When Romney spoke to the NAACP, he spoke of what amounted to fiscal responsibility and of moving forward as a nation. When Joe Biden spoke to the same group, his message was one intended to incur anger and disenfranchisement. When Eric Holder spoke to them, his message was intended to foment fear and animus. Both Biden and Holder used hot-button cliches to paint Republicans as racists out to do them harm and deny them opportunity.
You and I know the truth. We know America is not out to suppress blacks and if blacks would stop to take a reasonable look around them–they would realize that there isn’t a cadre of whites hiding behind bushes to ambush them. They would realize that blacks who do not share their backward-thinking, self-limiting thought processes are not sellouts or Uncle Toms.
Those of us who embrace truth and equality must vigorously oppose racial assignations–because as long as they are subscribed to, liberal bigots will have the ammunition they need to keep us divided and untrusting of one another.

Hello, i think that i saw you visited my site thus i came to “return the favor”.I am trying to find things to improve my web site!I suppose its ok to use some of your ideas!!

I have to agree that this weblog is price all my time spent in studying it. Folks posting weblog should actually exert some effort to educating the readers. This could be the excellent weblog for anyone who wishes to seek out out about this subject.
This is one blog that has made me actually ponder on the things that I have been doing. Really mind-boggling and thought-provoking. Thanks and I am wanting forward another helpful blog like this.
It is the best time to make some plans for the future and it’s time to be happy. I have read this post and if I could I wish to suggest you few interesting things or suggestions. Maybe you can write next articles referring to this article. I wish to read more things about it!
Excellent Mychal! Political correctness (which in my opinion is based in cowardice) and the encouragement of racial animosities to divide us into opposing segments are two of the most destructive methods being employed to bring us down. There is no excuse for allowing it to happen. Even doing seemingly little things such as Michelle Sites does in writing in AMERICAN on forms asking for race or ethnicity can be helpful even if the main effect is to proudly remind ourselves of who we are and to resist that insidious attempt to categorize and divide us. I have done it for years and those that process the data can like or lump it, I don’t care. I am American by birth and my American lineage goes back beyond the Revolution to folks that came here in the 1600′s to find freedom from European repression. I am thankful they did and it angers and sickens me to see the heritage they created for me with blood, sweat and tears thrown away by people that have no appreciation or understanding of what they are letting be taken from all of us by evil men and women.
wakinyan: I cannot disagree w/ you…
Mychal – I am a “Mychal Massie” fan and often post your rants on my Facebook page. Can you tell me why you will not support Romney even though he will more than likely be the candidate of the Republican party?
swamprat: for the same reason I wouldn’t replace hitler w/ mussolini…I remember romney’s record and what he stood for before he reinvented himself in hopes of appealing to conservatives…I don’t buy from snake oil salesmen regardless of whether one is nicer than the another…they’re still selling snake oil…
Mychal. I just found out about you. Great blog. I hate race card playing. I wasn’t born in Africa. Neither were my Great Grandparents, My grandparents nor my Parents. I’m an AMERICAN. A BLACK- AMERICAN and proud of it. No I didn’t vote for Obama nor will I ever.
I so love reading Mycal’s articles. He tells the truth. I can’t understand why so many African-Americans are democrats, especially what was done to them when they were first allowed to vote. Have you ever watched videos on this subject as told by American heritage? You might want to check some of these out. Here’s one: http://youtu.be/beGOAxlygAI There’s a lot of history here & other videos that are very enlightening. All black Americans should know this history.
God Bless
jean m: I reject the assignation african-american…until we are all americans this crap will continue…racial assignations are used to divide us…
earl b: you and I are kindred spirits my friend…
Only liberals, and when I say the word liberals,it’s like biteing a sour lemon, would even think the things those morons are saying about Romney. I googled the names of the “guys” in that group out of curiosity. They look like the kind of wimps that hid behind mommas skirt all their lives, pitiful little bookworms with no realworld experience past the school library and now their computor desk.
carpenter: were you surprised…
This article is SO clear and RIGHT on track. The socialists are doing a great job of dividing America, and we didn’t stand up and do something about way back when, while we had a chance to. This PC stuff is alot of the problem. I have 5 boys(21, 18, 14, 11 and 9), they have been raised that people aren’t African-American, they are black. They aren’t Latino, they are Mexican. You are either American or you’re not. On surveys, when they ask for race, I write in American. I myself am an all American mutt….French, German, English, Scottish, Irish, Dutch, Welsh, and a teeny, tiny pinch of Cherokee Indian. You see why I think of myself as an all-American mutt, lol. The manifesto that they are following has the PC stuff in it, so if we can get others to stop being so PC, maybe it would help. Just a suggestion….if someone complains, just say, well, are you American or not? Why do ya have to SPECIFY what kind of American? Just be an American! Or do ya like destroying America? And leave it at that. God bless you. momof5shortstuff
michelle sites: until we are just americans race will continue to be used to divide us…
The Great Divider has struck…along with his marxist bigoted thugs…
t. snyder: amen…
Apparently dividing the races can go either way. Right wing Conservatives say harsher punishment for black crimes and Far Left Liberals say hugs for black thugs. I don’t agree with either but that’s my opinion. There, of course, will always be those who are ignorant whites and blacks. The ignorants will vote for the presidential candidate with the most positive WORDS to offer that meets or helps their own life styles. Still, the candidates have been nominted simply because of financial status. This is where we have a lot to learn and rediscover what America is all about. We haven’t reached that time, Yet. Both Obama and Romney are very affluent men. Must look at how they achieved their wealth. That might be a step in the right direction for now. I’m afraid to step outside the box and vote for the person I think would help put this country back in good financial shape and downsize government. If I did this, I will be giving my vote to Obama. That, I cannot afford to do.
marilyn: crime should be treated the same way regardless of color…
mychal,
my fear is the millions of blacks who have very poor educations and living standards, and never get out of their backyard to travel and see different points of view. the more time they spend mired in their condition, the more angry they become. the blacks we have in power now are playing a dangerous game, because there is great anger out there, much of it in the black community, against poverty, which in their opinion, is white produced. we could have terrible uprising if those blacks are given the chance to “get even”. these people have no idea that they live better than the poor in almost every other country. hence, “ignorance” in it’s purest form, takes over and is replaced by rage.
dave buls: i do agree that ignorance keeps be angry and blind…
mychal,
your article highlights the power of the mind to deceive itself. amongst both whites and blacks, bigotry cemented in the mind can be so “permanent” that we don’t even recognize it. during World War II, the trained bigotry of Nazi officers against anyone non-Nazi was so engrained in their thinking, they didn’t realize how destructive it would become. Being of German descent, i admit that we are bigoted, and we don’t even realize it. It comes with bad upbringing, where so much brainwashing can happen behind four walls of a home or school, that people have no idea the negative or positive effects it can have on the world.
dave buls: well said…
I’m AMENing this entire article! What liberals are doing to try to divide us is evil. They’ve been smart about it too, so that both “white” and “black” conservatives feel attacked. They’re trying to do the same thing to Latinos in Florida, most of whom are conservative anyway! Whoever doesn’t think this is evil has got to be blind.
I suggest we start telling the truth: we’re all just shades of the same color. What an arbitrary divisor. But I guess that’s too forward-thinking for some people. Can we get a positive message out there maybe?
cristinahaines: its the way of communists…
The surprising thing to many of us is that as Christians all racial or ethnic bigotry has to evaporate in the fire of the Spirit of Truth given to us at baptism and/or confirmation otherwise we aren’t truly brothers and sisters in Christ. God help us all if we do not live our lives in testimony of that fact of faith. And of all places America is and should be the herald of this bond of brotherhood as proclaimed in Philadelphia by our founders. So the question is who is it among us or what is the Satanic force present here which is seeking to deny the very obvious basic structure and content of mankind’s created nature by trying to dismember our unity and divide God’s people? Woe is unto them for they shall surely receive the wrath they have justly purchased for themselves.
bill sr: once again well you have spoken…
Mychal,
While I agree with you that Romney is not the right choice for America, he is apparently the best choice in these circumstances to beat that pretentious Ass we currently have in the White House. Who would you like to see win the election?
Sarah Palin or Herman Cain
kelso: my man…where have you been…and yes how about Herman Cain and Sarah Palin…
john: Herman Cain…
so wish I could shake your hand Mychal. Be encouraged and be blessed.
In Christ,
Dennis and Cindy McCutcheon
dennis mccurtcheon: I look forward to that day..if not here we’ll do it there…God’s grace to you and yours…
