Do you recognize the name Crystal Gail Mangum? Do you recognize the name Donna Burleigh? Do you recognize the name Mariah Yeater? What about Nafissatou Diallo, does her name sound familiar? I’m betting that out of the many people who read my blog daily, the number of people who could accurately identify these people would be almost infinitesimal. The demographics of my readers places them, (actually I should say places you my readers) among the most informed in a number of different categories, and yet these names are not recognized by most of you.
Here are a few clues. Do you recognize these names – Al Gore, Justin Bieber, the Duke lacrosse team, and Dominique Strauss-Khan? Mangum falsely accused the Duke lacrosse team of raping her. It took over a year to clear the name of those students. There were accusations of the Chapel Hill area of North Carolina was elitist and if not outright hostile, it was not a place were blacks were welcome or made to feel comfortable. The media had unearthed stories about the young men who were accused, with each story unearthed becoming increasingly more salacious. We were subjected daily to the phalanx of new accounts and incidents surrounding the young men. By the time the story began to unravel most people believed these young men were the spawn of Satan. Then came the truth – not only was she a liar, but the elected officials and specifically, district attorney Nifong, were aware and allowed it to happen.
Donna Burleigh of Portland, Oregon accused Al Gore of sexually assaulting her. The problem is that she lied. The police who investigate sexual crimes, could not find enough substantial evidence to move forward, and then Burleigh chose not to file a lawsuit. None other than the uber-feminist Susan Estrich, herself a victim of rape and sexual assault, admitted on the Sean Hannity Show, that “this was obviously not a rape” and then referenced how the Duke lacrosse players for all practical purposes also had their lives ruined by false accusations.
It turns out that Diallo was part of a plot to discredit Strauss-Khan, to prevent him from running for the presidency of France, which he was widely viewed as having an excellent chance of winning. Strauss-Khan is no angel, and he has a long and storied history as a lothario. But, this was nonetheless a lie, a set up, by nefarious individuals whose intentions were to prevent him from becoming president.
Yeater was the 20 year old woman who claimed Justin Bieber was the father of her child. Her accusations even though they were against a young man with a squeaky clean reputation, almost immediately became fodder for the Fox News and TMZ commentators. The problem as it turned out, was that Justin had was not only not the child’s father, but Justin had never met the woman, and it was later discovered she lied, making everything up.
Here’s another interesting fact that the media is quick to ignore. According to Men’s Rights Online: “According to former Colorado state prosecutor, Craig Silverman, up to 45% of rape accusations could be fallacious. He went on to say that he was amazed by the amount of false rape accusations that are made by women. During my time as a prosecutor who made case filing decisions, I was amazed to see all the false rape allegations that were made to the Denver Police Department. It was remarkable and surprising to me. You would have to see it to believe it. Any honest veteran sex assault investigator, will tell you that rape is one of the most falsely reported crimes that there is. A command officer in the Denver Police sex assaults unit recently told me he placed the false rape numbers at approximately 45 percent.” [1] (http://www.mens-rights.net/law/falseaccusations/rape.htm)
Now put a target on the back of a man who is rich, gregarious, pleasant natured, unintentionally flirty in the most innocent of ways, who is now running for the highest office in the land, and it doesn’t take a genius to understand why he would be accused. I should also point out that he is a threat to the good ol’ boy way of doing things. Of course, if you are Martha MacCallum of Fox News and you are interviewing Niger Innis, a member of Herman’s campaign advisors, and he brings that point up – you dismiss it because it doesn’t fit your paradigm of fair and balanced.
But, the dirty little secret is that some women lie and political assassination is a well rehearsed custom designed to destroy candidates, in this case Herman Cain. Before you raise the specter of – but look at the number of attacks, let me point you toward a person I with whom I may disagree on a certain social issue, but one with whom I without hesitation say is accurate nearly 100 percent of the time in her books and commentaries – Anne Coulter. In her column “David Axelrod’s Pattern Of Sexual Misbehavior,” (http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2011-11-09.html), Anne lays it out in detail.
Neither Anne nor myself are going to risk our hard earned reputations on someone we know to be a fraud. This is a hatchet job, and the most spectacular sin of the entire thing is that being perpetrated by the media, especially Fox News.
I would suggest that before Fox attempts to look down their noses at Herman, and pretend he must be guilty because he’s running for office, that there are so many accusers, and that old uncontrollable id thing, that Maureen Dowd slandered Justice Thomas with, they look at those around their studio. Because there are hosts in Fox News studios who could write a book on marital infidelity, lap dances, hookers, drugs, physical violence against women, sexual harassment, ad nauseum. Maybe, just maybe, they should look more toward the accusers and those behind them, instead of trying to bring Herman down to the level of those in their studio that they laugh and joke with daily.

You accuse the media of pre-judging Cain based on reports by women who you and Coulter paint as frauds.
First, I haven’t seen the media “judging” anyone – just asking questions based on information in the public realm. (Example – the Right condemned Politico for “smearing” Cain by reporting on the harassment settlements – these settlements were facts that Cain first tried to dance around, and then had to acknowledge as accurate.) Cain has chosen not to comment on any of these situations, other than to deny them. As a private citizen, that’s his right. As a candidate for the highest office, that’s fatal. And it was fatal – he quit the campaign, rather than address the facts. He said that he would take a lie detector test if he had a good reason to. I guess preserving his candidacy and his marriage weren’t good enough reasons. I wonder what would be good enough reasons?
(If I am wrong when I say that I haven’t seen the media judging Cain, please cite to examples OTHER THAN Fox. They aren’t media. They are a lobbying group.)
Second, by listing all the problems in these women’s lives as proof that they are lying, are you and Coulter not doing exactly what you accuse the press of doing?

I wish your ‘thousands’ of daily readers were tens of millions. The People need to know these things to balance the garbage spewed by the left wing media, that now seems to include many of the Fox commentators. What the h**l happened there? Anyway, hang in there, with few exceptions most of the readers who post comments here are very perceptive and clear thinking individuals. I agree with you and Ann coulter that a blatant political assassination is being orchestrated against Mr. Cain and it is because they are truly afraid of his candidacy and that includes some of the good ol’ boy republicans that do not want their corrupt apple cart upset by anyone who is honest and above board.
I would like to add that there are some Republicans who genuinely view Tea Party candidates as “extreme” and fear that they can’t beat Obama but are not necessarily corrupt. Very sad when the only group left in America that believes in the Constitution as it was written are labeled “extreme”.

I ran into one of my wife’s uncles this afternoon and he mentioned Mr Cain saying he would be a poor choice for our president with all the accusations coming out. Even though the uncle is a strong republican. He has no access to the internet so I set him straight but what I’m getting at is that there will be a lot of people out there getting the same slant without knowing the truth. That is what the democrats are counting on. We need to get the truth out and make it loud and clear.

I was so excited when I learned Mr. Cain was going to run for president. . . . . because he was NOT a politician, because he was a very successful business man. During the Clinton campaign, that guy had women coming out of the woodwork accusing him of assault, forcing himself (rape), and an affair. It was the infamous hallmark of his campaign – and yet – HE WON! Maybe Stephanopolous and Carville were as good as Immanuel and Axelrod…I don’t know, but something worked! TRUST ME, Rahm Immanuel was behind all the Cain smearing. From Sharon Bialek to, I believe, Ginger White. Money, money, money, monaaay.

There are woman like this – Out to get the fast buck to live in luxury. Someone? is paying these women to come forth. I want to know who and how much! They resort to public Media to gain sympathy, money and to ruin people’s reputations and lives; even at the risk of their own reputation. But, then, what kind of reputation do these women have to begin with! Misfits – whores, money grabbers, no work ethics… I firmly believe Herman Cain is innocent of all the alligations. The points you make are absolutely indisputable, there is no appearance of anything but a blatant attempt to neutralize a key opponent, and I can’t remember the last election when the entire left-democrat socialist wing didn’t do their worst to try to destroy their opponent, with nary an attempt to actually beat the conservative by better ideas, more responsibility, and just plain better people as candidates.
Much as I dislike Mrs. Clinton in every way, she was definitely cheated out of the election, and this is from someone who cringed as I voted for McCain, and hoped he would lose.
I know the only salvation of our Nation is to literally turn it upside down, and re-establish it, because if the winner is another “politics as usual”, regardless of party, we will continue down this socialist path at an increasing rate, and someone is going to call debt, due.

I must have missed something very important…why hasn’t HC insisted on having the Restaurant Assn. documents put on the table in order to close this thing once and for all. The thing that concerns me is that there are SO many women involved. The other persons who were falsely accused only had ONE. I have heard that if there is smoke there’s fire. We already have one liar in the WH, we definitely do not need another. I believe that America, for the most part, forgives trysts but not lying. I know for sure that if I were falsely accused and there were documents to prove my innocence I would move Heaven and earth to make them totally public!!! It does not matter if the women had financial trouble or any other problems such as evictions. Those most assuredly do not figure into the equation. Vilifying them only points to what this nation’s known for…screw the facts, just convict someone.
Whoa!! Since when does he have to prove his innocence? A man is innocent until proven guilty. White has not proven a thing. She says they had an affair. Never stated what kind. Sexual? Financial? She says emails and texts. What for? Love talk? Money pleas? Harrassment on her part? His part? 13 years and never told a single soul. I find that hard to believe of a woman. Where is the proof of trips? where are the gifts and proof? I really find it hard to believe a woman who has sued her employer in 2001 for sexual harrasment. A suit that was settled but in whose favor? If she won it didn’t help her financial status. She was sued for stalking, harrasing emails and texts. She lost there. No one has ever saw her and Cain together. Now I ask, why should he try to prove his innocence?

tony thannisch: you obviously did miss things…first its not Herman’s place to request someone else’s privacy be violated…that said the restaurant association lifted the gag order at the request of the woman’s lwyr and the woman refused to release the details as did the other woman who had rcv’d a settlement severance…the one woman refused to acknowledge the media press…the other refused to spk even after the gag order was lifted…the woman whose lwyr demanded the gag order be lifted and she then reused to spk out filed sexual harassment charges on her very next job…plus she tried to sue them to let her work from home, she tried to force them to send her to some liberal training center, she wanted special privilege to work from home and the list went on…this was immediately after she lefft the restaurant association after claiming sexual harassment…I’d say you did miss something if you didn’t know that…also as I wrote earlier note the following pursuant to white and her allegation that Herman took her to tyson-holyfield fight during the 13 yrs they were supposedly involved..the tyson- holyfield fights took place in 1996 and the second one was 1997…what did he do fly her back in time to see the fight…why isn’t media fact chkg that…she told stephanopoulos she had never been evicted when dozens of papers including the ny times, washington post, la times, cbs online, daily mail uk, all reported she had been evicted several times including november when she slithered out of the shadows…tell me again how credible she is…or how credible the media is including fox…do your homework my friend…and lets not forget that Herman had stage 4 cancer of the colon…he was literally brought back from the dead…men are not able to engage in sexual activity for months if not longer after such treatment under normal circumstances so I have been told…much more so after the rigorous and aggressive treatments Herman rcv’d…its easy to believe the worse if one is predisposed to…but that doesn’t make it true…
The bible tells us that giving false witness is wrong and I believe that anyone being proven to giving false witness or slandering someone should have that fact as part of their criminal record instead of sweeping it under the rug or being let off easy by just going away quietly. Unless they have proof of their allegations, they should automatically be fined for ruining another person’s reputation. At least we know that they will be held accountable before God when they pass. “Revenge is mine”, says the Lord, and false witness is a fancy word for revenge and/or greed. I am so glad that Herman rose above this and showed us that he is a strong, God fearing man. Although he has no experience at being a politician (thank the Lord), he is an intelligent, educated, successful man who is capable of learning and with a strong vice president to back him up, he can be one of the best presidents we could ever have. Tony, I would ask you to look at it this way: Herman Cain is an intelligent man – clearly. I mean for crying out loud, he’s a rocket scientist! Then we can add that he has held high level positions with some of the largest corporations in the U.S. Now, in 43 years of being in these positions we are given to understand that during the 3 short years he was with the NRA, he became a pervert, a lecherous and lascivious individual with women who are not only dim and unattractive but, who also have history’s of filing sexual assault complaints against their employers and fellow employees. I have held high level positions with corporations and can assure you that this sort of thing happens everyday and the claimants are usually paid off by the corporation so that the legal costs are kept at a minimum, as well as, the bad publicity that could harm the companies. Sadly, a lot of people are going to drink the Kool-Aid that is being served to destroy this man while ignoring ALL of the individuals who have worked with this man – women included – who have come forward to say that they never witnessed this behavior or heard even a whisper of a rumor involving Mr. Cain in any type of sordid impropriety! Do your homework and see which other black, conservative men in public office right now are being villainized to keep them from being elected or re-elected then, look at yourself in the mirror and ask if you are part of the problem or, if you can make a difference by not drinking the Kool-Aid. There are two sides to every story and one side usually has a stench to it. I think you are smart enough (you’re on this site!) to be able to ascertain which part stinks in this story. Go with your gut! If you think Herman Cain is guilty, then vote for someone else. If you think a man is being falsely accused then stand with him and stop this madness!! Good luck with your choice!!

Correct me if I am mistaken, but aren’t all of the accusers white women? I hate to raise this nastiness but doesn’t this play to the raacist spector of black men and white women? Judging by the lady Herman chose for a life partner, I’d say his preference is not for white ladies. This issue is a third piece of credibility stretching coincidence, the first two being the brief span of alleged incidents during HCs tenure as the NRA head, and the fact that all of the accusers have a Chicago connection. I put it to you bluntly. What party has the most to gain and what party has truly been the most racist over the years? You are mistaken. The girl who accused the Duke team of raping her was a young black girl. an exotic dancer. If you recall, Rev. Jackson said he was going to pay for this poor girl to go to college. When it came out that she lied about the whole thing, he said he was still going to put her through school, whether she fabricated the story or not.
If Herman Cain was actually having a 13 yr affair with White, how do you explain that she claimed he lavished her with gifts, money, and trips, yet he was going through years of struggling with stage 4 cancer through some of that time, and in the past few years, she has been served eviction papers 6 times. Do you believe that her millionaire boyfriend took her on trips & bought her gifts, but she couldn’t get him to help with her rent? She also has charges against her for libel. Her ex-business partner (who said she has never mentioned the name Herman Cain while she knew her) had to file defamation of character, harassment, & stalking charges against Ms. White. ALL of Herman Cain’s accusers had these things in common … they were all women who lived far beyond their means, had a lot of financial trouble, law suits, evictions, or actually worked for the obama administration.

I know a LOT of black guys who are married to black women but have many white lovers on the side. A black wife in HC’S case may be a fact of social expediency.

Thank you Mychal for keeping up the defense of Cain. I’ve said all along that he scares the HELL out of the Obama camp and that’s why they’re going after him. For that reason alone I support Cain – and yes, I agree with him on almost all points. I have to laugh at those who say he “lacks experience” —- what about Obama when he took office – and even today???
I just pray that Cains ‘camp’ portrays this same into to him. I also agree that the Obama group is scared to death of him. An intelligent, honest, true person….Cain is everything that they are not. Experience….I agree with Jackie….the Bamabooblehead, had NO experience at all in anything. He couldn’t lead himself or anyone our of a wet paper bag and he’s proven that in the 3 years in office. His ACORN stint was a sham of an organization to begin with. The lousy bastards will do anything to get him out….we can’t let that happen.

Both my husband and I who are senior “WASPS” support Herman Cain. We feel he’s been unjustly accused and hope he will hang in there. I feel sorry for his poor wife – hope she can handle the pain.

I saw the Martha MacCallum interview of Niger Innis yesterday, and it really made my blood boil! Do the Fox News hosts think we’re all stupid? Do they think we can’t recognize the blatant bias they’re showing against Herman Cain? I can hardly make it through a Fox News show lately without having to pause my DVR to yell at the screen every 10 seconds or so… I wonder if their ratings will start to slip this coming year, as more and more conservatives start seeing them for the frauds they are?
roger: the bias she exhibited in that interview made me sick…I don’t watch fox news any more except on rare occasions…I watch fox business channel…I prefer the business news anyway…that said the absolute best on fox is Neil Cavuto…
I agree completely about Cavuto. His interview with Mr. Cain was about as fair as they get. And Hannity’s interview last night wasn’t too shabby either…

Whoops, did quite finish. Anyway, Adam West is now calling for Mr. Cain to withdraw from the presidential race for ‘the good of the party’. I guess the constitution and innocent until proven guilty doesn’t apply to everyone.

I knew a guy about 25 years ago who was sometimes called the Wizard of Wall Street. He had the full arsenal of goods, so to speak, and used to have a screener work for him full time to prevent ladies seeking this married man’s attention from tying up his phone lines so that he might perform his job. This pre-dates caller ID and today’s social media.
It turns out he declined every last salacious offer from these various strangers, yet the scorn from some of those rejected would today be headline material.

You know Mychal, the women you have talked about disgust me. They shed a very poor light on all women. Almost makes me wish I had been born male. But then I would be afraid to smile at a woman or even get into an elevator alone with one. Darn shame. I just hope Cain can take the kitchen heat and not let them bake his cake.

I have liked Mr. Cain since I read the first article about him. He is smart, he has a great record of business experience, a supportive family and not one hint of any scandal until he decided to run for President. I say “hold your head up high, Herman.” Win or lose the race, you will still have my respect for hanging in there and not letting them bring you down. You have character and vision, and I believe a good heart. The people who are trying to bring you down have no shame and will do anything to get their way. However, I believe the day will come when they will all be exposed for the low down, dirty scum THEY ARE. God Bless You and your family.
