‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Website, Smebsite: It's A Game And The Joke Is On Us

December 12, 2013

I long for the day when a political statement that I make is wrong. Believe it or not, I would love to have been wrong about Obama because my having been wrong about him back in 2004 would mean We the People and the country that so many of us love would both be eminently better off today. But I wasn’t, and we aren’t.

And so it continues. I have been warning that the obamacare website not working was a red herring intended to distract and change the dialogue pursuant to the unimaginable harm that would result from obamacare.

As I wrote in my TDR exclusive “Behind The Political Curtain” piece titled “It’s Obamacare Dummy,” “A working website will not eliminate the death panels in obamacare. A properly working website will not allow privately insured individuals to keep their policies. A properly functioning website will not allow us to keep our doctors. A properly functioning website will not prevent the costs of premiums on policies from, in some instances, increasing by 400 percent (and some already have). And a properly functioning website certainly will not prevent the shortage of doctors, interminable delays, and shortage of services that we will see. And these are just a sampling of the negative effect of obamacare.” (12/5/13)

I continued: “My friends, we are being misled. As I have said before, at the end of the day when all the blathering about the website is over we will still be stuck with obamacare which is undeniably the greatest illegal act of government overreach since the confiscating of property from people in New London, Connecticut. Which, interestingly enough, was also upheld by the Supreme Court.”

Well, guess what? I was right then, and sadly I’m right now. This morning as I was reading my BBC News the headline read: “US Healthcare Enrollment ‘Triples.'” So now, as I have been predicting, Hannity, et al. will change to blathering from the obamacare website isn’t working, oh boohoo, to the website is working, and people are signing up, “What does that mean for America?” and “Why couldn’t they make the website work to start with?” What it means for America is that We the People are about to get shafted in a massive way, and the reason it took so long for the website to work is that they didn’t want it to work sooner. In fact, saying the website wasn’t working is a misstatement on our part. It was working exactly the way Obama and company wanted and planned, i.e., not at all.

And they didn’t want it to work for three reasons:
1. Because the longer the conversation was focused on the nonworking website the focus was diverted from Obama allowing Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty to be murdered in Benghazi.
2. A website that supposedly wasn’t working allowed the White House to control the dialogue vis-a`-vis my first point.
3. When the website was miraculously repaired and finally working the dialogue would be “Now people can sign up.” All conversation of how disastrous and unconstitutional obamacare is will fade quietly away as all conversation has done with Fast and Furious — Obama’s illegal, international, gun-running operation.

Let me add also that I suspect the reasons for the $677 million cost of the obamacare website are twofold. I suspect that a portion of American tax dollars that paid for the website which was awarded to the Canadian company CGI in a no-bid contract and that has as their senior vice-president the classmate and friend of Michelle Obama, Toni Townes-Whitley, was intended as payola for the reputation hit that the company would suffer in the short run by building a website that wasn’t supposed to work right away. I suspect another portion of the $677 million is going to be funneled back into the Obama’s pockets by way of charitable donations by CGI to various interests of the Obamas, in this case specifically Michelle Obama’s. And for good reason. The “bride of obama” knows the true extent of the dirt Obama doesn’t want revealed; thus, it is important to keep her happy.

And let me hurriedly point out that literally days before Obama’s Health Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, announced that the cost of the website had jumped another $47 million dollars, Media Matters (the left wing extremist group that shills for liberal administrations and supports extremist causes) was claiming there was no truth to the projections that the website would cost up to a billion dollars. But with Sebelius’ public statement pursuant to the cost of the site I guess it just depends on how you choose to round the numbers. But I digress.

The bottom line is that talk of the murders in Benghazi has taken a back seat in the public forum. And with “obamacare” now being called “affordable care” — which is a damnable lie in that there is nothing affordable about it — Obama is distanced from the negatives associated with “obamacare,” and now associated with the kinder, gentler verbiage of “affordable care.”

But, at the end of the day, nothing will be done about the murders of Ambassador Stevens, Tyrone Woods, Sean Smith, and Glen Doherty. And We the People will be stuck with obamacare. I’ve been right about Fast and Furious, Benghazi, obamacare and the website. And I’m betting I’m right now.
