I’m not an economist and I don’t pretend to be one. But, let me tell you what I do know. I know that we have a failing economy and I know that Obama isn’t capable of fixing it.
Obama’s idea of fixing the economy is to increase taxes and increase spending – the end result of that plan is increased debt and higher unemployment.
One year ago Obama was praising Solyndra, a California based solar panel company that received more than a half-billion dollars in stimulus money. Obama was at his chest thumping braggadocios best boasting of his wisdom and leadership in leading America into a green future and the jobs same would create. This, even as his vice president Joe Biden was singing the lead aria in his of “sumer of recovery” six week tour, promoting the success of the $800 billion stimulus package.
Solyndra, this week filed for bankruptcy, costing 1,100 jobs. It is my personal opinion that, if Solyndra had succeeded it would have been “sauce for [his] goose” as the old saying goes. It was well known that Solyndra was not going to survive, even after they received over a half billion dollars of stimulus money. It was also known that the company’s owner was a top bundler of campaign funds for Obama. I want proof that this wasn’t a thank you gift from Obama, that enabled money to be contributed back to his next campaign.
I also want an investigation into why, with Solyndra going belly up, Obama is giving nearly $900 billion to anther pie-in-the-sky solar project, sponsored by NextEra Energy, and another nearly $200 billion to solar manufacturing facilities in California and Oregon. I would prefer not to believe this is an elaborate scheme to defraud taxpayers, at the same time he is back-dooring paybacks and campaign donations. But, I believe we would be unwise to rule that potential out without investigation.
Despite all of the Obama-Biden bravado, (and they live to brag), the much ballyhooed promised recovery was as successful as an off-broadway trick cock-roach act. Today for the first time since February of 1945, zero jobs were created in the month of August. We have 46 million people on food stamps, we have a fictitious number of 9.1% unemployment (the actual number is nearly double that), with the government’s own prognosticators stating unemployment will remain at 9% though 2012. Which, stated factually means unemployment will continue to grow through 2012.
A healthy economy typically has dips and recovery periods, it’s the way our free-market system works. The principle times that this has not been the case, was Roosevelt’s meddling during the Great Depression and now the Keynesian failure of Obama. Obama is a one trick pony when it comes to the economy. Tax those he deems as rich, spend like crazy, increase government, promise WPA depression era jobs, and foment social conflict.
Now, he is trumpeting his upcoming jobs speech and there is little doubt that it won’t be more of the same. He will lambast the rich, call for “shared sacrifice,” extended unemployment benefits, call for more government spending, blame Congress, and blame Bush.
Obama is either unwilling or incapable of change. He refuses to see his policies as the epic failures they are. Specific to that point, in an email to his remaining supporters, he instructed them to contact Congress, telling Congress to support his plan for job’s. The problem with that, as the editor of this page pointed out yesterday, is he once again wants people to simply take his word. Even those dumb enough to take his word the first time, are increasingly unlikely to trust his word again.
All of that said, there is one thing I believe Obama does understand. I also think there is a shockingly revealing statement that he makes. He said: “No matter how things go in the weeks and months ahead, this will be an important challenge for our organization.”
That single comment is telling for a number of reasons. First, he seems to signal he realizes his end is near. The phrase “No matter how things go,” is not an admission of confidence – it is an admission of anticipated defeat. The other revealing part of his comment is his saying, “…important for our ‘organization.’” Why would he say “organization” instead of “Party?”

Mychal – I just found your blog today and your editorials and analyses are right on! Obama is far from stupid – what he is doing has been calculated and precise. Our ruin is what he is after – I just hope that there are enough people who are brave enough to stand and call this farce for what it is – nothing short of treason. There is one representative from New Hampshire who did call for treason proceedings – and I believe that he is the first. Hopefully not the last.
Gimom: accornero may have named obama in the commission of treason…don’t hold your breath waiting for any other others to jump on board…bottom line is the people are responsible…this looser didn’t elect himself…the people did…nad the fact that there are alleged to be some 40% that still support him…is not only unsettling it is downright frightening…
Needless to say, Obama is a total loss when it comes to being a president. Aside from his only claim to “fame” that he was some sort of “neighborhood organizer-whatever that is”, he had more than demonstrated his inability to hold any type of political office. I do have a comment in regards to “medicare”. We all know that it is an extremely costly proposition. However, someone needs to take a serious look at WHY it is so expensive. To date, the only explanation I have seen offered…..by anyone….is that it is expensive to pay for all of the procedures performed on patients. There is a serious problem here. I would assume that the total cost of providing medical services to any one patient is a totality of physician services AND hospital services. It should be imperative that someone take a very close look at the outrageous billing processes being stuck to the government by each and every hospital in this country. Years ago, I worked at our small community hospital here in Oklahoma. As an example of ridiculous charges billed to Medicare by that hospital is the worthless pillows mandatorily provided to every patient. The pillows normally cost the hospital approximately 80 cents but they were billed to Medicare at $20 each. That is just a microscopic example. There is a plethora of examples ranging from the infamous $20 aspirin to outrageous charges for every single aspect of a patient’s hospital stay. So, I stongly believe that Medicare is being raped by not only the exhorbitant charges by physicians but also charges to Medicare/taxpayer by the unprecedented greed by hospital charges. I understand that charges by physicians are, for the most part, necessary BUT, is it necessary for hospitals to charge $20 for a 80 cent pillow? Or $20 for an aspirin? The patient just wants to be healed. However, it seems that hospitals have taken the sinister position that they can sock it to the people of this country in the process of healing.
tthan43: I’m not sure if its greed or aggregate cost of doctors wages, insurances, fees, equipment, etc…plus the cost of the cost of illegals and hispanics here in the northeast that treat emergency rooms like their primary care office…and yes they’re there to turn a profit…
Nice. :)
B. Hussein is not contemptibly stupid; rather, he is doing exactly what his handlers want him to do. The fact that his policies are ruinous to the United States is deliberate, scripted and calculated. He has set health care ‘reform’, debt and additional ‘Endless War’ upon the American populace at a time in our history when we can afford none of these malignancies. He IS our American Nightmare.
gynojunkie: I agree…it;s a failure fir us but success for him…
I just don’t see how someone who trashes business, taxes the middle class out of existence, and spends trillions of dollars in wasteful projects can expect THE major economy in the world to suddenly create jobs. He has not planted any good fruit into this economy. He stopped oil production in the gulf and refuses to build an oil infrastructure in the US, he continues to make job-creators nervious, and he is increasing the federal government by leaps and bounds. I agree with you Mychal, his speech will be more of the same.
Even better, why would he use the term “organization” instead of “country”
vuduchyl: for these people words have meaning…there’s is no way the word “organization” didn’t have a specific meaning/reference…we were brainstorming about this afternoon…
radargeek: he is an abomination who has done more harm to this country then even people who know realize…he is contemptible and should suffer the harshest punishment…
