By now many of you have heard that Lance Armstrong, the once presumed greatest athlete of his generation, has ceased his legal battles against USADA (The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) and WADA (The World Anti-Doping Agency), and their dogged pursuit of charges against him for allegedly (cough-cough) leading a sophisticated doping conspiracy throughout his fabled career.
In the face of what I’m sure his attorneys advised him were near insurmountable odds against him, Armstrong picked up the victim card and claimed he would no longer fight the charges because it was costing him too much money, etc., etc. I’m betting his attorneys also told him the risk he was taking if he lied (or continued to lie) with the phalanx of witnesses USADA had prepared to testify against him.
Last night, as his decision was being announced, Armstrong’s spin machine was already in high-gear. They pointed to the fact that he had never tested positive. But, hahaha, isn’t that the reason they have masking agents that mask a person’s cheating? They said it was costing him too much money with no appreciable upside. I think they meant it was going to cost him a ton of money and he was still going to be busted.
Which brings me to the Obamas and their law licenses. Their sycophants are as quick to point out they voluntarily surrendered their law licenses. And that’s true…sorta. They voluntarily surrendered their law licenses like Armstrong voluntarily ended his fight against USADA/WADA, which resulted in his being stripped of his seven Tour De France titles, and Olympic titles, to mention only a few.
Obama sycophants claim the Obamas never admitted any guilt blah-blah-blah. That’s like Armstrong saying he never tested positive. Armstrong didn’t have to test dirty; his teammates and others knew he was dirty. And worse yet, the cycling powers knew it too, even though they chose to keep their heads buried in the sand for plausible deniability. People know the Obamas are dirty as well.
What Armstrong proves is that there is justice. Armstrong proves that if we are persistent and thorough that when the cheering stops for the cheaters — and when the movers and shakers have gotten what they want out of them — there’s a good chance we’ll finally bring the Obamas to justice.

I just came across the Daily Rant and believe I could agree with most everything Mychal Massie has to say. However, I don't agree that Lance has gotten justice at all. More like he's been subject to double jeopardy and guilt by hearsay. Raising my suspicions about USADA is the fact that it's substantially funded by the government. IMO, the government has no business in the sports world.
How sad that so many are no longer able to ‘discern’ truth and lies unless WE ourselves can see the VIDEO of abuse. We no longer judge according to REASONABLE evidence believing that VIDEO is truer than multiple personal testimonies. And we just as often JUMP to defend or persecute without ANY evidence at all!!! Damned foolish! (I KNOW! I have been that ‘damned foolish’.) Thank you Mr. Massie for another lesson on ‘being REASONABLE’!
Comparing Lance Armstrong to the Obama's is not fair at all. First of all Lance does not have the Endless Pocket book that the Obama's have. So he goes back to court perhaps for years and in the end he keeps his titles but goes broke in doing so. He has been fighting Cancer too. I am a Cancer survivor and I can tell you that it takes a lot out of you and his fight has been a lot worse than mine. So at some point he had to face up to the facts is it worth all the stress on his body and mind? And if he wins again, who's to say that another charge won't pop up again. I think he just got tired of it and said too himself that His quality of life would be better off if he just let it go. It must have been a very tough thing to do for him. I support his decision and I hope the best for him.

I don’t know if Lance cheated or not. The 100% negative test results speak pretty loud to me. And I’m pretty doggone sure that Roger Clemens cheated like crazy. Roger Clemens is as narcissistic as Obama. Roger Clemens will lie to his own wife and mother to win or advance himself. Lance doesn’t come across this wayc. So, I am willing to give Lance Armstrong the benefit of the doubt even though I do not know the man. Clemens is as guilty as sin.

Sunny Vee, I understand why you say what you did, but I have to disagree completely. I believe our Nation was true to its character while almost everyone was honest, because lying was asking for a challenge which could well be one's death.
We tolerate so much lying by politicians because lying is now normal, and not incredible. I want to see our Nation returned to a position where lying will get a person challenged, I want people to find lies to be really bad for their futures, and if we don't do something to make it so, it will never happen.
As a former cyclist myself, and a marathon runner, I was jazzed by Armstrong's wins, and cheered all the way. At some point, I came to realize he had to be using steroids, or he would not succeed as he was. I'm glad the truth is out, I wished he never had, and could hold his head up, but he impacted millions of kids, and they should be encouraged to be ashamed to even know his name, so they have proper respect for the truth.

I spend so much time immersed in the politics, I was entirely unaware of his capitulation, but having trained for years as a cyclist, with an Olympic contender as a friend in high school, and trained for two decades as a Marine, and a marathon runner, I've long suspected his use, and even considered the legitimate use for healing tears and broken parts, is questionable when it comes to holding records.
I had no idea so many were aimed at him, but he thumbed his nose at the whole world, not just American atheletes, and I can only hope that the same note of justice will be found for our Zero, the illegal alien.
I have long found the common ambivalent attitude among atheletes towards steroids, as long as one is not caught, to be beneath contempt, and helps put atheletes in the same position as politicians, and while believing the strong chance he was using such, I would never confront without evidence. I'm glad to know a congenital liar has been thrown down, even if it is an embarrassment to our Nation. I hope Americans shun him, and he lives a harsh life unless or until he repents and acknowledges his lack of morals and principles, and both openly appologizes, and takes on a work which is appropriate to the crime, for redemption. I can't ofen say this, but God Bless the olympic committee, the Tour De France committee, and the truth being brought out.

I don’t get why the media and Congress make a big deal out of “cheating” in sports. You have only to observe them (the media and Congress) to know they should not be throwing the first stone.
I do not care about Armstrong, Landis, or Roger Clemons! They did not hurt me personally. And if they won titles they did not deserve, so what? They have to live with themselves for what they did.
I DO care a LOT about my country, and my personal future, and how my tax money is being wasted on cronies, unions, and donors. And I do care about our president and the FLOTUS who are clearly liars and frauds. We should know a lot more about them and their backgrounds, but I guess the media and Congress have been wasting too much time and taxpayer dollars trying to pin cheating on sports figures and going through Sarah Palin’s garbage.
The voters in this country need to wake up and quit watching the media and Congress inspecting their navel lint and start fighting for our country and our rights! Soon, we will have none, if we continue on this path of deliberate self-destruction.
Any cyclist knows that doping is a widespread practice in the sport. Armstrong’s sin was the same as ex-governor Blagojevich’s: he stole more than his fair share. And had the gall to do it in France, no less. I’m not sure this compares with Dear Leader. I would like to why they surrendered their licenses, though.
One of the major problems in which our society initiates is encouraging the general public to admire famous people. Whether they are celebrities, politicians, or well known power brokers from the corporate arena, no one should be held above the law especially if they are engaging in dishonesty or criminal behaviour.
Unlike Obama, Lance Armstrong could no longer deceive the public with his private deception. Armstrong deceived his fans by utilizing harmful drugs to enhance his performance. There are a number athletes who continue to engage in far more worse activities than Armstrong and have yet to be caught and publicly disgraced. There is very little in which the media can do to sheild Armstrongs’ deception. But not when it comes to consistent errors of their beloved socialist prince currently occupying the White House.
The liberal p.c. police will just continue to protect their pampered biracial con-man-in-chief no matter how much damage he commits. Obama has no dignity nor keen insight whatsoever. He is incapable of admitting that he wasn’t fit to run our nation under any circumstances. Connecticut numbers begin with 040-049. You have to be a resident of the state to obtain a SSN in that state. Obama never lived in Connecticut. The above number is on his federal income tax return. That is criminal. It is also on his selective service registration, which has also been shown to be fraudulent. WHO IS THIS MAN? No one knows for sure. But one thing for sure: if his lips are moving, he is lying.
Well, even if/when Obama gets kicked off the bus….we’ll still have the problem of who’s really driving it. Getting rid of The Great Deceiver will be only like sniping a bud off a malignant weed. The roots are still there. It’s maintenance but it’s not the rebuilding that we need.

It’s a very sad state of affairs when a skirt-chasing ex-president who was impeached for perjury (lying to a grand jury) and obstruction of justice is called into play to “help” Obama in his election campaign. Bill Clinton had his law license suspended for five years as a result.
