‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Have We Learned From The Failure Of Bush or Are We Doomed To Repeat It

Quoting George Santayana from his 1905 work titled, The Life of Reason: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”  Santayana’s quote leads me to an even older proverb: “To be forewarned, is to be forearmed” or in other words, if you know what’s coming, you can prepare for it.

Hence the reason to give heed to both the history and forewarning I’m about to share.

On October 1, 2013, my syndicated op-ed was titled: Republican Leadership As Dishonest As Democrats.  The opening paragraph read: It should be understood that few of today’s Republicans are conservative. In fact, some are as left-leaning as any Democrat. Even more troubling many conservative voters are being wantonly deceived because they refuse to understand that the Republican Party in its current incarnation is not our friend.

In my October 8, 2013, syndicated op-ed I wrote:

I have referenced many times in the past months, Karl Rove had instructed Republicans not to fight to defund Obamacare. His method of derailing Obamacare was to have Republicans talk about how bad the bill is.

But, Rove left out that it was the so-called Republican leadership who advised candidates not to make Obamacare the focal point of the 2010 elections. And the success of Tea Party candidates in those elections notwithstanding, keep in mind that it was Karl Rove who led the attack against Tea Party candidates that was enjoined by others in the GOP.

Need I remind you that it was Boehner’s congressional shadow Eric Cantor who conspired with senate Republican Jeff Sessions to trick the American people into believing Republicans were fighting to defund Obamacare when, in reality, Republicans had drafted stealth legislation that fully funded Obama’s healthcare abomination.

The forewarning is: there are alleged rumors that the George W. Bush and family are plotting to retake the Republican Party from

Breitbart is reporting that according to the Daily Mail, “rumors” are stirring that there is a “plot to end the so-called ‘Bush Exile’” as part of an effort to take control of the GOP from Trump and his Make America Great Again (MAGA) policies:

Now, rumors are stirring of a plot to end the so-called ‘Bush Exile’ and take back the GOP from the so-called scourge of Trumpism.

Behind the scenes, and still with deep connections around the country, a shadow Republican Party is lying in wait to take over when Trump is gone.

And, while the former president is determined not to publicly criticize Trump – much to the frustration of some of his former aides – he may not be averse to quietly helping to shape the Republican Party’s long-term future.

Elizabeth Weibel writing for Breitbart reported: “One person, who is described as a “former Bush official,” told the outlet that Trump “knows that there’s no third term option,” while admitting that Vice President JD Vance “has a head start” over other possible Republican presidential candidates in 2028.

The former Bush official also predicted that “there will be a big open field within the Republican Party” for the 2028 presidential race, according to the outlet.

Former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele has also been reported as pleading for the former president to get involved in the party, stating that he has “a voice that would resonate with a lot more Americans,” according to the outlet.”

The Bush cabal despises President Trump and openly views him disparagingly as an isolationist and as not having the proper demeanor or character to be president.  That’s rich coming from Bush who lied about weapons of mass destruction and led us into wars that enriched his cronies.

In addition to Bush never finding a cause unworthy of another war, following is more history we ignore at our own peril.  Here is a snippet of Bush’s failed time in office:

  • No Child left Behind
  • His failed Medicaid prescription plan
  • His “see you at the signing” quip from Softa, Bulgaria – where he boasted that despite the objections of his base, he was going to sign open borders legislation
  • NAFTA
  • Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) that allocated $700 billion to bailout banks
  • His assurance that Harriet Miers trumped all other’s for the Supreme Court Of The United States
  • His commitment to illegals
  • His refusal to pardon and/or commute the sentences of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean
  • His repeated willingness to thumb his nose at his base, which includes taking our money to bail out and pension those who should be on their way to jail.

Even if revealed that Bush isn’t involved in the threat to usurp the reins of the Republican Party; you can bet that Karl Rove, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, FoxNews, the remaining Koch brother, and the betrayers feigning loyalty to President Trump are involved – as well as the elapids who fought to sabotage him during the primaries of his first term.

I could continue by making note that I don’t trust John Thune, because I remember when he betrayed conservatives during the Bush terms.

President Trump and his Cabinet are doing a phenomenal job this term.  But, that doesn’t negate the fact that we must stay alert and stay engaged by demanding our elected representatives support President Trump, pass legislation to codify his Executive Orders, and support President Trump’s fight to end the filibuster.  That said, it is a fact that if Senate Republicans don’t end the filibuster now, Democrats will the very next time they have opportunity.

If Rove and company are able they’ll sabotage and destroy everything President Trump has set in place thus far, just as they sabotaged the Tea Party.

We the People will either “remember history or we will be condemned to repeat it.”

I’ve once more forewarned those with ears to hear.  I pray it prompts all to be forearmed, because you have been forewarned.  We need too be engaged in the upcoming 2026 election.  We do not under any circumstances want more Democrats in office.  We want and need fewer of leftwing zealots.  That said, we also do not want more Rove RINOs either.

We must turn out as if President Trump were running for election, because while he isn’t running for reelection, his policies and our future as America are on the ballot.
