‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

NFL Players Are Like Monkeys Imitating One Another

The NFL players refusing to stand for the National Anthem, in my opinion are like a bunch of chimpanzees shaking their cages to see which one can get the attention of the man with the bananas.

Their behavior isn’t about unity it is about disrespect; it is about the ignorant exhibition of morally opprobrious athletes, many of whom are nothing more than highly paid functional illiterates.

There is an email circulating that leads to idea that the media, the NFL commissioner, and obviously the players themselves were behaving contradictory to League rules. That which the email states is completely false. The item read as follows:
The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook. It states: “The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. “During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition… …It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.

Unfortunately no such rule exists and upon a simple Google or Bing search, its nonexistence can be verified. “The NFL 2017 Official Playing Rules” pages 62 and 63 refer to the enforcement of fouls.” However, On page 23, article 8, the rulebook does reference “personal messages.” It states that in part: “…players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration…The League will not grant permission for any club or player to wear, display, or otherwise convey messages, through helmet decals, arm bands, jersey patches, or other items affixed to game uniforms or equipment, which relate to political activities or causes, other non-football events, causes or campaigns…Any such approved items must be modest in size, tasteful, non-commercial, noncontroversial…”

This is interesting for a number of reasons not least of which is because one could be forgiven for daring to reason that Roger Goodell, the NFL commissioner would display a modicum of concern for NFL sponsors. But apparently Goodell only cares about the NFL’s public image when it comes to a bunch of Ubangi’s jumping around in NFL end zones, grabbing their crotches, sans spears. When it comes to morally condemnable displays based upon the very definition of stupidity, Goodell couldn’t care less.

I’m being only marginally sarcastic when I say that: “I guess he feels it is better to have a few misguided and overpaid dilettantes disrespect America than have his wife see bunches of black guys grabbing their crotches and humping the ground countless times each week.”

After all, we should all remember what Maureen Dowd insinuated about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Dowd’s article led me to respond that: “Flatulence generally refers to gases generated in the intestines or stomach and expulsed through that end of the posterior that graces a saddle. Unless you are Maureen Dowd … then said gases are expulsed through the pen (and/or mouth you choose) and are no less a poisonous, asphyxiating irritant to the atmosphere … Dowd’s June 25, 2003 column, “Could Thomas Be Right?” is one of the most morally opprobrious journalistic attacks against a black public figure I have yet to read. But having said that, I admit it certainly isn’t out of character for Maureen Dowd.” (See: There’s A Foul Pen Blowing; newdailyrant.wpengine.com)

But why should the NFL and Goodell care about disrespect? Brandon Marshall of the New York Giants allegedly spit on a fan – so why shouldn’t he and the League micturate on the American Flag and America’s National Anthem.

They do not care what price to life, limb, family, and/or friend was paid to make America the great nation she is and stands as. The majority of them grew up on welfare and food stamps, and then went to college on manufactured grades, affirmative action, and athletic scholarship. The idea of sacrifice is lost on them. The majority of them have grown up and have lived their lives thus far, being told they are owed something because of the color of their skin. How can we expect them not to example their condemnable ignorance?

In my upcoming VideoRant scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2017, I give you the solution for ending this madness. I also provide details that these overpaid, undereducated, “monkey see-monkey do”, pathetic ingrates would address if not for their jaundiced and duplicitous double standards.
