Obama, his wife, and Eric Holder are the political equivalent of wounded animals. And as everyone knows, or at least should know, a wounded political animal is always dangerous. And just as wounded animals will retreat to the security of familiar surroundings to either heal or die, so too will these persons.
The difference is that, for these persons, the familiar surroundings to which they run will not be a cave or a thick in the deep forest: it will be the airwaves, churches, and auditoriums–to lick their wounds by spreading their lies. They and their minions will do their best to foment rage, immiseration, and disruption amongst blacks with their lies about what evil whites, and specifically evil white Republicans, have done to oppress blacks.
With those thoughts in mind, over the next few days I will be updating some of the columns I have written over the years to remind people of the truth. The following was originally titled “Stop Groveling Over Slavery, USA” and was originally published July 15, 2003:
The United States did not invent slavery. And while it is historical fact that certain parts of the country did participate in and benefit from slavery; it should also be pointed out that America had the good sense to eliminate slavery and emancipate the slaves, giving them full rights and citizenship.
America, as a country, has provided avenues of opportunity for blacks to excel to unparalleled levels. There are black billionaires, evidence Oprah Winfrey. The key positions of many Fortune 500 companies are filled by blacks. Attorneys, doctors, actors, actresses, authors, producers, professors, engineers, astronauts, small business owners and laborers are black.
Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods are among America’s most beloved and revered individuals. Together Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods are among the wealthiest and most powerful in America.
I grow weary of the repetitious mantra of how bad blacks had it or have it. Not everyone came here in chains, Africans included; but nearly every immigrant came here to escape bondage and/or participate in a new life, Africans included.
Because America is viewed as if she is responsible for the accouchement of slavery, a couple points bear mentioning. Arab Muslims were the first slave traders; trading for African slaves on the East Coast, then trading them throughout Western Africa. (Small wonder many blacks are buying into Islam as their true religion, sarcasm intended).
Secondly, while ships from America were amongst those carrying slaves, it should be noted that whites weren’t running through the jungle with nets and chains. That was left to the pre-colonial empires of the Dahomy and Ashanti tribes located in modern day Benin and Ghana.
In this man’s opinion if America is to hang her head in shame, let it be for the murder of millions of unborn babies. Let America hang her head in shame that vile usurpers of truth distort history and corrupt entire communities to make gain and oppress the ignorant.
More than 600,000 Americans died to pay the price for America’s sin of slavery.
It has been said that “whites need to learn black history. I’ll concede that if we add blacks need to learn their history also. It was white Americans who locked arms with Dr. King; it was a black American who used blood from King’s lifeless body to feign importance. It was white Republicans who fought for the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
It was not Liberia, the Sudan, Ghana or the Congo that produced men and women like Dr. Carter G. Goodson, Garrett Morgan, Percy L. Julian, Dr. Jane Wright, William A. Lester Jr., Daniel Hale Williams, William B. Purvis or Norbert Rillieux. Collectively those countries produce only pain, starvation and economic malaise.
America is a country whose people were willing to correct injustice with their lives. White college students were murdered supporting Dr. King.
Even now white Americans are doing that which the so-called black leadership will not. It is groups such as Christian Solidarity International and The American Anti-Slavery Group that are raising monies to free present-day African women and children from their Muslim captors.
But while many take advantage of all that America has to offer, others are spurred to dissent by loathsome and spurious individuals.
Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., continues to push a bill calling for the creation of a commission to study the effects of slavery on the descendants of African slaves.
William Fletcher Jr., president of Trans Africa told MSNBC: “Whether it’s called ‘reparations’ or ‘reconstruction assistance,’ something is needed in order to return peoples to their history.” He continued those of African descent “were ripped out of history, and they need to be reinstated where they otherwise would have been.”
To Conyers I would say: Some black Americans embraced the availability of opportunity, while others embraced bitterness, ignorance and lies. We don’t need a commission to determine the effects of either.
To Fletcher, I would offer that perhaps he should consider accommodations in Liberia or the Sudan or perhaps Ghana or Uganda; Then again he could always “go to that place” where fires burn eternal.

I really enjoy reading your blog. There is one thing I don’t understand. I assume that you have a lot of visitors daily but why your website is loading so fast? What kind of hosting you are using? I heard hostgator is good but its price is quite steep for me. Thanks in advance.
Keep history alive by telling that history:
Read the greatest ‘historical novel’, Rescue at Pine Ridge, the first generation of Buffalo Soldiers. The website is: http://www.rescueatpineridge.com This is the greatest story of Black Military History…5 stars Amazon Internationally, and Barnes & Noble. Youtube commercials are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD66NUKmZPs and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVslyHmDy9A&feature=related
Rescue at Pine Ridge is the story of the rescue of the famed 7th Cavalry by the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers. The 7th Cavalry was entrapped again after the Little Big Horn Massacre, fourteen years later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. If it wasn’t for the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, there would of been a second massacre of the 7th Cavalry. This story is about, brutality, compassion, reprisal, bravery, heroism, redemption and gallantry.
You’ll enjoy the novel that embodies the Native Americans, Outlaws and African-American/Black soldiers, from the south to the north, in the days of the Native American Wars with the approaching United States of America.
The novel was taken from my mini-series movie with the same title, “RaPR” to keep the story alive. The movie so far has the interest of, Mr. Bill Duke, Hill Harper, Glynn Turman, James Whitmore Jr., Reginald T. Dorsey and a host of other major actors in which we are in talks with, in starring in this epic American story.
When you get a chance, also please visit our Alpha Wolf Production website at; http://www.alphawolfprods.com and see our other productions, like Stagecoach Mary, the first Black Woman to deliver mail for the US Postal System in Montana, in the 1890′s, “spread the word”.
Peace.
Mychal:
Your wisdom is profound. Thank you for making the truth a mission.
May God bless you and your family.
fred campbell: thk you much my friend…
Refreshingly honest. Thank you, Mr. Massie
J. D. Longstreet
j.d.longstreet: thk you…
Mychal,
One thing the past sixty years of history here in the USA seems to have taught us which screams agreement with you is that as many of our midsized and even larger cities began opening the doors of municipal government to black leadership in their school district administration, police and fire chiefs, and mayoral positions the lives of minorities in those communities did not improve significantly and in fact racial tensions often increased. The overwhelming majority of those black administrators were elected as or appointed by progressive Democrats who have and continue to sell their agenda as the only path of opportunity for black families. Am I missing something here?
bill sr: that’s because in most of those instances the people viewed those elected as there to avenge perceived injury instead of bringing the areas into modernity…and like holder, jarrett, the obamas, van jones, et al many times the elected saw themselves in the same way…
America has the distinction of being the only country in the world that has fought a war over slavery. These folks have never, at least that I’ve heard, mentioned that fact.
It’s all about money and power for these people. In my opinion, they’re predatory in their actions and remarks with a strategy of “divide & conquer” to keep themselves in office. To me, there’s the real racisim.
pat: you’re only partly correct…they are marxist-leninists intent on transmogrifying this country into failed euro-socialist country…
pat: you’re only partly correct…they are marxist-leninists intent on transmogrifying this country into failed euro-socialist country…
I think color is just a crutch that the racist blacks use to lean on. They are too weak to accept the premise that they are equal to the whites in this day and age. They need to quit listening to the likes of Jackson and Sharpton and emulate people like Mychal Massie, Herman Cain and Adam West. They would be farther ahead.
ginny: color as a crutch is not the exclusive province of blacks…many people of all colors use race to further an agenda and still others use it out of loyalty…
Anyone who has followed this writer, knows well the most important issues he’s dealt with are those which affect every American, the issues of National Debt, Wastrel Spending, “bridges to nowhere”, not that one in Alaska, but the thousands of small ones added to the central government costs, improving life for those hired by government, at the expense of the private sector.
Mychal has well covered the fact this man is an alien, a liar, a forger, a usurper, and a communist, but he has not allowed that to affect his standards of facts.
Having been a reader of Mychal’s for many years, and a close correspondent, I believe he’d agree with me, the greatest damage done to our Nation by this usurper, has not been all those other issues, but the singular issue of deliberately making race the issue in every discussion, making it the key to all dissent, and removing any reaon or rationale, from discussions of his actual actions in conjunction with office and the many questionable, to say the least, changes he has presided over.
Having grown up through the civil rights movement, and been a staunch part of it myself, as a White boy/man standing up for the equality of persons in Chicago, irrespective of Color, and being active in the protests and marches for equality, I know that every bit of what has been accomplished, has been because Whites have recognized Blacks are indeed not merely “equal” but the same, we are one race, and it has been the full understanding of this by Whites, and us having to put that in the face of our own who deny it, this has been the big confrontation.
It has never been enough for the racist, for the Black man to face him, demand an equal standing, that has been done from the first. Only White men confronting the would be Slaver, only his own confronting him, and proclaiming with pride, the single Race of Man, only this bites that racist, and nothing less puts his ideas down as dead.
Those of us who grew up in this as “knowledge”, never any question, knowing in every way, manner and form, we are one race, and Whites are exactly equal and the same as Blacks, this broke segregation, and gave those Blacks, standing on the same principle, the power and support to back up their rightful statement.
For all those Whites who have stood with our Black friends, neighbors, brothers and sisters, it has been a watershed three years of turn-about, with every bit of action and energy expended, thrown in our faces, and every bit which could, has been used to destroy the success all who have labored to put the last of racism behind our Nation, has been returned with care and deliberation, because this Nation, standing as one, never would have accepted the communist actions of any such president and it is only the race baiters and hustlers who have kept the whole of the nation from looking honestly at this man, who he is, what he is and was raised up to be, and the every effort to eliminate the vast and great success we’ve had, so race could once again be a useful tool for dividing America. When you look up “hate” in Webster’s, it shows the face of this man, but the caption below simply says unknown person, bearing many names, responsible for resurrecting the flames of hatred, for the communist cause.
It is time each and every one of us who has worked, labored, prayed for, believed in, and still holds onto hope for the real leveling of our playing fields, to stand up, confront a government which refuses any law over it, and bring it under the rule of law, or bring it down and chain it, while we establish a lawful government, and restore our Republic.
No people of any particular creed have ever been so well established in a world of opportunity as The American People. We lost that as we let our government become our owner. We are being used to damage each other so they, who don’t produce anything, cam live on our labor. All we must do is “right the wrongs”, and we can be The Republic. We have to be willing to Rule ourselves, and refuse to be ruled, and to do this, we must take on the responsibilities of ruling, and decision making, and not put them off on politicians. They have a vested interest in keeping us at each others throats. We are fools to not have noted this as their full intent. We can only fix what we accept as broken, and we must accept we have allowed our form of nation, our founding principles, and our basic concept of absolute honor be broken, and this all must be restored for us to be righteous before God, and worthy of the liberty and freedom that is ours to claim, if we stop fighting each other.
We did not receive our form and life from our parents, the work was done before their time, and theirs sets what will be for our own children. We must, by moral responsibility, do this for posterity, those whose parents are not yet born, and they are worthy of this, because it was that spirit which alone, was sufficient to drive our forefathers to do what they would not do for themselves, to assure we could live as we do. It is our duty, not merely an option, or even a responsibility, but above that.

john mcclain: I do agree w/ you…also…my friend and I spent spent last week on the outer banks on Harker’s Island at a friend’s home…not sure how close beaufort, nc is to you…
BRAVO, Mychal. Well said. I can’t add anything to your comments. Great!!
marilyn: thk you much…
Michal, since I have the fortune to read your post I cannot stop even that I have dyslexia and it is hard to read, I feel your message and I agree 100% with you, I’m an immigrant who upon my legal arrival to this great country 30 years ago who received me and valued me by my merits, I adapt myself to it not the opposite. I became an asset not the opposite, I became a proud USA citizen and I will die with this honor. I can never imagine the hate and betray Hussein Obama and wife has been to my country. What a shame. It is an honor to read your thoughts. Keep it up.
Since my arrival, I have dedicated all my potential to sponsoring art and artists in all the creative fields. I promote, encourage, and mentor all of them that never were touched by art, or don’t believe in themselves, or are afraid to show because they are afraid of comments. I open shows and spaces to display their work regardless of their experience and background, as long as they have the idea and or need to explore creativity. Many became very well-known creative people, some found their lives changed, with a lot more to live for, because whoever is involved in art lives a great life. If you have a disastrous place, as soon as you move art in, it becomes enchanted and shines. It is the same with life.
alvaro ibanez: thk you for sharing your remarkable story…
Somehow we have forgotten that the Emancipation Proclimation was announced by a Republican President and the 13th and 14th Amendments to the Constitution were passed by a Republican congress. Which party has most benefited the people of color?
bob barnes: good point…
Well, there you go again, being right and very timely with your brilliant commentary. To the comment by Sharon T. about it being over 150 years since the end of the Civil War so the wounds should have healed, I would add that there is a good chance most of those wounds would have healed long ago if not for the efforts down through the years of the likes of sharpton, jackson, conyers, the new black panthers, i.e., all the professional race baiters, that have made a fine profit by keeping those wounds raw and bleeding in the minds of those who do not know their own history and who leave their thinking to others. And of course the media must share much the responsibility of continuing strife because they refuse to report accurately and fairly and provide unlimited face time so jackson, sharpton and so on can spew their twisted, hateful version of events without being called on anything they say by our intrepid, truth seeking reporters. In addition to left wing bias, they thrive on buckets of blood without care for the effects on individuals who get caught in the cross fire, too often a literal crossfire of real bullets. Entirely dependent (or so it seems) on the skin color of killers and victims, the media and race baiters either jump right in the middle of the incident to stir it up or completely ignore it and remain as silent as if it never happened. Even when it is a horrendous crime involving black(s) on black(s) or black(s) on any other skin color, their silence rages throughout the land but let it be another skin color on black and they will be all over it, screaming and shouting in protest and pretended outrage, doing their utmost to incite crowds to violence and mayhem to “get even” for yet another attack on a black man or woman, portraying it as an attack on all black skinned people that must be avenged. I say their outrage is pretended because I have yet to see any evidence of sincere caring or concern for the individuals involved by any of these scum, including the media talking heads.
wakinyan: cannot disagree w/ you my friend…
Well said, sir. Well said.
ivonova: thk you much…
Mychal;
A long time ago a very wise lady told me “how we got here matters not, what matters is what we do with today.” Thank you for the wisdom and truth.
spark: a very wise lady indeed…
I think many whites are fooled by the blame they are receiving. So they bend over backwards. In this country there is a Black Caucus (no white caucus), Black chamber of commerce….and other organizations. If whites had such a limited group, it would not be allowed! I was born in Europe and it seems to me that our USA is more tolerant than anywhere else, so why do we give credibility to those such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the Obama crowds…. the hate mongers?
After all, if we peeled our skin, like a banana, we’d all be the same.
ellen: ask the likes of sean hannity whose staff backstabbed me when I had sought his show’s help to get sharpton to accept my challenge to debate his accusations of racism…hannity instead co-hosted a debate w/ sharpton two wks after I held an empty share debate w/out sharpton…hannity and o’reilly give sharpton credibility by having him on their shows and treating him as something worthy of respect…
Mr Massie; Again I quote the Father of my best buddy who is black. His Father told me one time. ” Alan, most of the blacks are still slaves, and they will always be slaves until they can leave the plantation. When they voted for Obama they sold their Grand-children and Great-grandchildren into slavery as well. They profess to be Americans but they also want to be called African. Tell me, What has Africa done for them? You know my brother just got back from a mission in Africa. He told me of the horrors that are going on in that country right now. I doubt any American blacks would last one day in that country with the attitude most of them have. That ain’t Kansas anymore. Blacks will reap what they sow mind you. God have mercy”.
alan: I don’t disagree w/ your friend’s father…
Just please continue to write the truth for all to see here… Thank you…
t.snyder: I plan to do so as long as the Lord gives me strength and lucidity…
The American citizens of today did not participate in the sin of slavery. That idea that we owe the descendants of Black slaves reparations is just nonsense. Should modern-day Germany have to pay every citizen of Jewish ancestry reparations for the sins of generations ago. That part of our history that included slavery is just that – history.
We are not responsible for the actions of our ancestors and should not have to forever apolgize and pay reparations to the entire population of Black Americans living today. It has been well over 150 years since the Civil War ended. I think that is sufficient time for the wounds of slavery to have healed.
White America has apolgized, agonized and over-compensated long enough. There have been many wealthy, accomplished Black Americans over the years. And many more who lived decent,middle-class lives the same way as many White Americans did.
Unfortunately, there were also many Black (and White) Americans who lived their whole lives on the government dime. The difference between those who succeeded and those who did not is the first two groups worked hard to overcome the obstacles in their path in order to succeed in life and make a good life for their children. The latter group made excuses and waited for someone else to lift them up.
Each of us is, to a great extent, the master of our own destiny. One can be born into poverty, work hard, get and education or learn a trade and aspire to become more than what we were. One can be born with the proverbial “silver spoon” in their mouth and manage to lose it all due to laziness, excesses and poor choices. No one is guaranteed a good life. And on one is regulated to remain at the bottom of the barrel, just because that is “our place.”.
sharon tomas: I liked your last paragraph…
Mychal, everytime I read one of your Posts it puts me in a better mood the rest of the day, not because they are cheery and full of happy good news but because YOU are a good man and willing to tell the truth, even though it most likely will get you threats and lies from the cowardly left.
carpenter: even some of those on the right shower me w/ criticism for my positions…I don’t care I’m right and they’re still wrong…
Well said. The new liberalism seeks to end the race question by genocide through abortion of black babies while selling it as “healthcare”. The only right being promoted is the right to death. A sad commentary on the administration’s war on women.
john: my friend you said a mouthful…
