Slavery continues today with the people who made it their stock-in-trade for 1400 years–Muslims. The Saudi King’s contingent to visit the Queen of England in the mid-1950′s included slaves (yes I said, nineteen-fifties). Five years later, the next visiting contingent included slaves. Slavery was alive and well in the Muslim holy land right into the swinging sixties. Look up the history of slavery on Wiki. The vast majority of the slavery that has existed throughout the ages has had nothing to do with slavery in the New World. That was just a minute part of the whole, accounting for a slight percentage. The way people go on about it, you’d think Jefferson and Madison invented slavery back in 1776, just to be hypocrites, if nothing else. The original traders to the New World were the Portuguese. The most violent and horrible were the Belgians. Even the Vikings were slave traders back in day when they were still pagans. They gave it up when they became Christians and settled down. All this history is available to anyone who cares to spend a second looking it up and learning, instead of blaming the white founding fathers (or founding founders, these days) for everything that’s supposedly wrong with America.[adsanity id=9292 align=alignright /]
