‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Conservatives Must Not Trust Republican Leadership

October 8, 2013

Those of us who consider themselves conservatives need to understand that conservatism to the Republican hierarchy is defined differently than we define it. And those who consider themselves Republicans because they still believe the Party represents what it did at its inception or what it did under President Reagan must understand that’s no longer the case.

The Republican Party is led by craven, self-aggrandizing, ego-centric, Erebusic miscreants who lust after power and privilege. The so-called leadership has no more interest in doing what is best for We the People than Obama does.

Harsh words? Yes, they are. But I defy one of these people to stand up and say that I am wrong. The Republican hierarchy is big on theater and dramatic sound bites, but at the end of the day theater and a good sound bite are not leadership.

As I write this commentary, it is well known within Republican circles that the feckless leadership is searching the coastline of voters for a soft place to crash their frigate of treachery as soon as Boehner, et al. come up with a way to cave in on defunding Obamacare.

It’s time that we both rebuke and replace the Republican hierarchy along with all of the congressional Republicans who have betrayed us.

It’s time that we both rebuke and replace the Republican hierarchy along with all of the congressional Republicans who have betrayed us.

The question is, how long will you the people continue to buy their lies and false bravado? Need I remind you John Boehner worked diligently to ensure that the cover-up worked in Obama’s illegal, international gun-running operation known as Fast and Furious. Without Boehner’s behind-the-scenes subterfuge, there is a very good chance—a very good chance – that Obama would have been destroyed along with his Attorney General Eric Holder, Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

There isn’t a chance under the sun that a couple low-level bureaucrats were going to plan and execute an illegal, international gun-running operation that resulted in the murder of American border personnel and hundreds of innocent Mexicans without those referenced signing off on same.

John Boehner was also responsible for one of the worst fiscal deals in modern political history when he caved in on the debt ceiling during Obama’s first term. What’s worse is that even though Mark Levin, I, and some several others warned, Boehner was still able to rally the support of the uninitiated via sound bites.

As I stated, Republicans are looking for a soft place to crash when they sell us out and allow Obamacare to be fully funded. Why else would Boehner be sending Reid secret emails and asking Obama to schedule White House meetings that are in reality meetings being scheduled to accommodate Boehner’s desire to keep congress exempt from Obamacare.

The Republicans did not shut down the government. Obama, Harry Reid, and the Democrats did. Republicans sent the Senate a budget fully funding the government but withheld funding for Obamacare. Harry Reid and the Democrats followed Obama’s dictates and stripped the bill, effectively denying funding for the government. But somehow the action taken by Democrats at the direction of a Democrat White House became the fault of Republicans. Talk about convoluted reasoning.

[adsanity id=9292 align=aligncenter /]As I have referenced many times in the past months, Karl Rove had instructed Republicans not to fight to defund Obamacare. His method of derailing Obamacare was to have Republicans talk about how bad the bill is.

But Rove left out that it was the so-called Republican leadership who advised candidates not to make Obamacare the focal point of the 2010 elections. And the success of Tea Party candidates in those elections notwithstanding, keep in mind that it was Karl Rove who led the attack against Tea Party candidates that was enjoined by others in the GOP.

Need I remind you that it was Boehner’s congressional shadow Eric Cantor who conspired with senate Republican Jeff Sessions to trick the American people into believing Republicans were fighting to defund Obamacare when, in reality, they had drafted stealth legislation that fully funded Obama’s healthcare abomination.

Republican leadership is being hyper-critical of Ted Cruz because he has shown concern for the will of the people and has fought valiantly to defund and repeal Obamacare.[adsanity id=8405 align=alignright /]

Attacking those who stand for the will of We the People is not new. Republican hierarchy was instrumental in not defending Allen West in his pursuit for reelection because he would not sell out the voters. It was Karl Rove and the Republican hierarchy along with John McCain’s daughter who savaged Sarah Palin who thanks to their efforts went from being a bright star for We the People and one of the most charismatic and most effective governors in all of politics to not being smart enough to hold elected office. As if Obama is, but I digress.

It’s time that we both rebuke and replace the Republican hierarchy along with all of the congressional Republicans who have betrayed us.

It’s not Obama as such who is destroying America. It is the Republican Party leadership and their congressional flunkies who are allowing him to do it complicit with voters reward their failure with reelection. And for those who think we would have been better with Romney – it should be noted that he stands with Rove in not fighting to defund Obamacare.
