‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Fox News And John Boehner: 'Flipping Us the Bird'

Growing up, some of the older children would make a gesture to those they disrespected and/or didn’t care about which we called “flipping them the bird” or “the single finger salute.” The gesture was crude and rude but its meaning was unmistakable.

Frequently, people ask me why I’m so hard on John Boehner and Fox News Channel. It’s because they have no compunction about “flipping us the bird.”

That is exactly what Fox News’ Bill Hemmer and Martha McCallum did, yesterday morning. In the face of ever increasing outcries pursuant to their continuing to showcase the virulent, black-racist Jehmu Greene on their programming — after she verbally attacked Tucker Carlson with racist name during a live on-air appearance.

Hemmer, McCallum and Fox News, et al, simply “flip us the bird” because they think it isn’t necessary for them to respect us. After all, what are we going to do, watch CNN?

And when it comes to someone giving us, “the single finger salute” as a sign of disrespect and not giving a rat’s tail what we think — John Boehner isn’t about to take a back seat to Fox News Channel.

Boehner “flipped” every citizen who cares about taxes and budget cuts the proverbial “bird” when he kicked two of the most conservative House Republicans off the House Budget Committee.

Boehner’s action told us what I’ve been telling people since he became Speaker of the House — and it’s that he is not our friend or ally.

His unprecedented removal of Justin Amash (R-MI) and Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) from the Budget Committee was him telling us that he is in bed with Obama and is going to stick it to us pursuant to the budget, deficits, and taxes. He is defecating in the faces of the American people.

Without the two budget hawks, Amash and Huelskamp, on the Budget Committee he can shaft the people and then go on Fox News and tell any lie he wants pursuant to why we end up with the worst imaginable deal. He will have no need to concern himself with Committee members going public before his act of betrayal is completed.

Boehner’s “giving us the single-finger salute” should make people consider something else that I’ve been saying since he sold us out on the debt ceiling. I am prepared to argue that Boehner’s actions give an unambiguous indication that he is in Obama’s pocket.

Boehner negotiated for the worst possible fiscal outcomes since becoming Speaker. During the heat of the presidential contest this summer, he and Ohio governor Kasich were busy playing rounds of golf with Obama in one of the very states Romney needed if he were to have a chance of dethroning Obama. Not only did Boehner and Kasich play rounds of golf with Obama in Ohio but Kasich after one round Kasich went on the Golf Channel — giving all indication that his blood alcohol level was above .08 percent as he laughed and blathered about the wonderful time he and Boehner had with Obama whenever they played golf together. Kasich rambled on about the great jokes Obama told and how funny he was. Chimpanzees can be funny, too, but I don’t want one as president, but I digress.

It is a fact that Boehner was diligently working behind the scenes (some believe with the White House itself) during the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee investigations/hearings of Fast and Furious to sabotage them in whatever way possible.

Last week I watched a clip of Boehner and Obama engaging in sophomoric pokes, nudges, and smiles during a White House budget meeting.

Boehner knows exactly what Fox News knows. Fox News knows it doesn’t have to be fair and balanced. They can lean left straddling the fence, and ignore the great number of conservatives they insult and offend by continuing to showcased Jehmu Greene the rabid black racist from ACORN. They know that not one conservative groups dares to speak out for fear of their experts not being invited on Fox programming which is one of the ways said groups bring attention to themselves. And awareness of their group is synonymous with money for these groups.

So Fox News knows they have the groups over the proverbial barrel, and they know that there are enough people who will hold their collective noses and watch anyway rather than watch another news channel, which allows them to “flip us the bird” with near impunity.

Would you permit your child to live in your home and disrespect you, ignore you and “flip you the bird” when you tell them they’re being disrespectful? Of course you wouldn’t. So why are people willing to obligingly accept such indifference and insults from a Congressman who is employed as our public servant and a news channel that depends on our viewership in order to charge top dollar for advertising?

Put another way, we will stop patronizing a store because of poor service, but these same people are willing to support a news channel that promotes and supports racist ad hominem attacks against whites by black antagonists like Jehmu Greene. They will happily reelect the Republican leader who was principally responsible for Fast and Furious not being dealt with properly, who played a role in ensuring Obama would carry Ohio, and who gives every appearance of being in Obama’s pocket. All of this as he “gives us the single digit salute.”

Like a dog that messes on the floor, Fox News and Boehner will not show us respect until they know there are harsh consequences for “flipping us the bird” and then ignoring us.
