‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

If The Foundations Be Destroyed

December 1, 2015

In or about the 10th century B.C., the question was asked: “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

America has four foundations: the church, the home, her schools and her system of government.

While America is today the leader and envy of the world, it must be noted that her foundations are being systematically destroyed. And if that which has been will be again – if pompous intellectual elitism led to the demise of brilliant civilizations of times past – it is well within reason to expect no less for America, should her people not turn again to secure her foundations.

The church as a foundation is under an all out attack. She has been driven from schools and the halls of government under the guise of a “separation of church and state.” From his grave, Thomas Jefferson undoubtedly curses the letter he penned to the Danbury Baptist Association of Connecticut, containing the verbiage “separation between church and state.”

Pastors who dare preach the truth of God’s holy word must be aware that certain elements who may reside within their congregations can file suit, accusing them of hate speech. Religions that have served man since before the inception of our country are being corrupted from within by licentiousness and concupiscence.

From moments of silence to Christ at Christmas to blessings of meals to the Pledge of Allegiance, the church is under attack. If the malefic prevail, even our currency will have “God” removed.

Exceptions are made to accommodate certain “gods” and religions in public schools, while the “God” embodied in “freedom of worship and assembly,” is dispelled and restricted at every turn.

The home, ergo the family, is likewise under attack. Children can be and have been taken from parents by local governments over corporal punishment. Yet that same local government will imprison and /or sentence your child to death. In other words, it is OK for the government to imprison and kill your child, but it isn’t permissible for you (the parent) to spank your child.

Parental authority is frequently undermined in the schools – the same schools that in time past worked conjunctively with parents to mold children into assets to their communities and their country.

Many families today take more pride in and place more value upon dressing their children, (who are on course to graduate from public schools with no marketable employment skills, in Halloween costumes), than they do taking their child to church. Further exacerbating the deconstruction of the “biblical family” is homosexual marriage and abominable ideas of family structure.

Teachers can teach political correctness and anti-God rhetoric; they can teach so-called “alternative lifestyle” classes, complete with instructions on how to place condoms on bananas; but they cannot teach factual historical truth.

In July of 2003 I said: Florida, students are accepted into college, but are unable to pass the multiple choice FCAT test that required only a 40 percent score to pass and could be taken five times to pass.

In Pennsylvania, between one-third and one-half of prospective math and science teachers failed their certification tests. About one-third of applicants flunked special-education certification. Nearly 50 percent of prospective Spanish teachers failed their tests. More than one-third of the applicants failed both the pre-professional skills test in writing and social studies. On the “content knowledge” portion of the math test, 43 percent of the teachers failed. (Jane Elizabeth /John M.R. Bull, Post-Gazette – “Up to half of teacher candidates failing tests,” Jan. 17, 2002)

In Illinois 5,243 teachers failed key exams. The New York Times asked the question: “What to do about [New York] teachers who chronically fail their certification exams? Some in New York have failed 10 times – 3,000 have never passed?”

The proof of my words from July 2003 is high school and college children who today can make babies, but who cannot make change unless the cash register tells them the exact amount. The proof of my words is college children who cannot read at even an eighth grade level. The proof of my words is school children who think they are homosexual but who cannot spell commensurate with their grade level. The proof of my words is the ever-increasing numbers of teachers being criminally charged for sexual misconduct and sexual deviancy with their students. The proof of my words is the students at University of Missouri.

What has allowing so-called “teachers and their unions” to hold communities hostage, while extorting massive wage/benefit increases, done for the students? Money doesn’t increase the academic success of students but money sure does a lot for teachers with new automobiles, summer homes, and unparalleled retirement packages.

Per the fourth part of a rapidly decaying foundation, I defer to Thomas Jefferson: “Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, – that whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is The Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.” Are you listening Chief Justice John Roberts?

The foundations of America are being destroyed. A watered down, diluted god of convenience; moral decay within the family; poorly educated teachers and students; and a government that governs for the posterity of itself is the death knell of our nation.

So begs the question to be answered: “What will the righteous do?”
