‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Obama Cabinet: No Blacks And Few Women

March 27, 2014

Jimmy Carter, who until 2008 was arguably the worst president in our history, has divined that Obama refuses to talk about issues affecting blacks because Obama is black. Carter believes “it might be an embarrassment to…Obama to single out [black] people.”

I, however, posit that Obama doesn’t talk about supposed issues that affect blacks not because he is embarrassed; but because he doesn’t care about them any more than he does the rest of America. And tangential to my assertion, he wasn’t elected to be concerned about blacks, as such, he was elected to be concerned about all Americans. But, I digress.

In September 2011, Obama viciously lashed out at the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) much to the praise of uber-liberal groups, that the CBC “should stop complaining.” He said: “I expect (read: demand) all of you to march with me and press on. Take off your bedroom slippers, put on your marching shoes…Shake it off. Stop complaining, stop grumbling, stop crying. We are going to press on. We’ve (read: I’ve) got work to do, CBC.”

Let there be absolutely no doubt that had a white president—not to mention a white Republican president—said that, blacks would still be protesting in the streets; and they would be led by the CBC. It was Maxine Waters, the CBC member from California who showed more male hormones than the male leadership in Congress, who voiced the obvious, saying, “[Obama] would never say that” to Hispanic, homosexual, or Jewish groups.

And she was for once in her life, right. Obama talked down to the CBC and uber-liberals cheered. I might point out, too, that they were white uber-liberal groups. Obama looks upon the CBC and blacks in general with disdain.

Many blacks were delirious with anticipation when Obama was elected. These same blacks today are as disillusioned as many of the others who voted for him; the difference is the majority of them won’t admit it.

Obama’s policies have been crippling to the American economy. And for those who trade on color-coded economics, his policies have been decisively bad for blacks. He, like all of the white Democrats before him, has used blacks when it served his personal interests; but beyond that he couldn’t care less.

As you my readers know, I do not believe in color-coded programs and legislation. I believe that all legislation and programs are to be race neutral.

How many of the CBC did Obama select to be part of his cabinet? The answer is none, not one, zip, nada. Eric Holder is the only high-level black appointee. Another female member of the CBC, Marcia Fudge (D-OH) said: “Congressional Black Caucus offices have had numerous phone calls from constituents questioning why none of the new appointees will be able to speak to the unique needs of [blacks]…Their ire is compounded by the overwhelming support you’ve [Obama has] received from the [black] community. As you continue choosing your critical advisors, we want to stress the importance of ensuring every community has a seat at the table. The absence of diverse voices leads to policies and programs that adversely impact [blacks].” (CBC Leader Concerned Obama Has Named No Blacks To New Cabinet; Jonathan Easley; The Hill; 3/11/13)

The concern Fudge expressed fell on deaf ears. So why do blacks continue to blindly cheer for a color who views them as commonality. Are blacks to believe that Eric Holder, who was never a member of Congress, is the only black Neo-Leninist, besides the avowed communist Van Jones, Obama could find who was qualified to be in his cabinet?

That said, Carter’s track record of being wrong continues unabated. Because as I pointed out, it isn’t embarrassment that prevents Obama from addressing so-called black issues. It is contempt for what blacks represent according to his matrix.
