Repeat With Me

It cannot be said enough. We are about to have it stuck to us in a big way and it will be our own fault. The problem lies in refusing to understand that the Republican Party is not our friend. It also stems from not understanding how to wage the battle. It is understanding that politicians spend millions on handlers whose sole responsibility is to make them appear likable. I’ve shared the “Green Rooms” with them on numerous occasions, and I can tell you the overwhelming majority are self-absorbed, oleaginous, bloodsucking substances that have personified themselves into that which is able to cast a shadow.

Conservatives win when they run as conservatives. If a candidate claims to be a conservative and is afraid to run as one — what chance is there that they will govern as one if they get elected?

We have got to be engaged and active, and in many instances that means doing more than sending the same emails to the same people. And I’m not in any way attempting to minimize that — except when I find the same email in my inbox 231 times in one afternoon.

A cover-up is taking place in Benghazi and it is one that is going to make the cover-up in Fast and Furious look like cheap touch-up paint on a deteriorating surface. The Obama administration is playing a chess game of subterfuge, lies and obfuscation — and they’re going to get away with it unless the Republican hierarchy stops posing and pontificating for the camera and treats this as if it were Mr. Nixon and Watergate.

The media has us distracted with which general slept with which woman. That is not important; it is a diversion intended to shift focus and it is working. And both Parties are benefiting from it. Democrats are benefiting because it is protecting Obama’s dishonest behind, and the Republicans are benefiting because it gives feckless Representatives like Lindsay Graham the opportunity to appear on Fox News pretending to be interested in getting to the truth.

Fox News is not our friend — they are a business out to secure ratings, political access, and advertising dollars. I will not mention names, but I can tell you that many otherwise well-meaning individuals and public policy institutes are not only afraid to criticize Fox — but steadfastly refuse — because they are afraid of not being invited back. I don’t give a rat’s tail if Fox appreciates what I say or not. I’m committed to the truth.

In reality, just out of our line of sight, John Boehner and the so-called leadership are coming up with a way to sell us out to Obama. At least when Brutus stabbed Caesar on that fateful Ides of March he did it in plain sight.

Obama is in full gloat mode. He believes himself beyond reach because he knows that regardless of his culpability the media will not report it, and Congressional hearings are not going to yield any fruit as long as John Boehner is his golfing buddy.

His press conference yesterday should be viewed in the context of what Muslims do when they conquer a foe. They build a mosque on the conquered ground (the attempt to build a mosque on Ground Zero should come to mind). In this instance, Obama held a press conference to gloat and play king.

Our focus must be myopic for the next two years. Freedom comes in 2014 if we commit to do what needs to be done the next two years. (To learn more about privacy concerns some folks are watching this Click Here! )

We must be relentless in our persistence that Boehner, McConnell, et al, not surrender to Obama. We must find and vet candidates in districts that are heavily leaning conservative. Running a candidate in a Democrat-laden district and then acting surprised when they lose is not a prudent use of time or resources. It’s imperative we fight smart and with a vicious intensity.

It is mandatory that people get over being star-struck because a politician shakes your hand and/or has a photo taken with you — that’s what they do.

It is also vitally important to understand that Republicans trying to run as Democrat littles will not be elected. History is replete with the evidence of this fact. Take time to study these things and you will see what I am saying is true. Karl Rove’s plan to mask left-leaning, big government, big spending Republicans as conservatives only worked for George Bush because he had the “compassionate conservative” catch phrase — which as I have said before was nothing more than code-speak for big government, big spending, and amnesty for illegals.

Conservatives win when they run as conservatives. If a candidate claims to be a conservative and is afraid to run as one — what chance is there that they will govern as one if they get elected?

Our country is not lost. Evil has not triumphed as many lament. I remind you that every war had dark days and battles lost. We are well on the way to taking back the reins of government. It is up to every concerned and committed American to realize that.

Our motto is “Freedom 2014.” Our motto is not a Kleenex, clenched hands and tears with the caption “They stole it.” It is time to man-up or step aside. We must all decide if we’re on board.

Mychal thank you for this clear and honest article. I found you when someone else posted your Repeat With Me link. Now I'll be sharing this link with others. What bothers me the most about what is happening is that the democrats are way ahead of us in this dishonest game and I don't know what we can do to stop their total takeover. What can I do to help?

What concerns me is when we run a fiscal conservative, like Richard Mourdock in IN, they find ways to trip them up and twist their words. Our candidates need to be coached to watch EVERY word they say, knowing they are out to get them.

carolyn laffoon: what we need to run is a true fiscal conservative who speaks the truth not what they think will please the media and democrats…I don’t believe in sugar-coating the truth…president Truman was once asked about people calling him give ’em hell Harry…his response was classic…he said “I don’t give the hell, I give them the truth and they call it hell”…

This will be huge multi-front battle to not only retake lost ground and more from a dug-in entrenched Establishment, but also to win the hearts and minds of the majority of ignorant apathetic voters with their hands in the government cookie jar(aka my back pocket. )We are outnumbered on that front. I suggest a quick review of Saul Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals. It’s been a huge success for everybody else. Why not Conservatives? Being polite doesn’t work anymore.
I’d say that I am “All In” but somebody else is using it right now.

    • Ed Watts November 16, 2012 at 10:55 am #

That’s the key — “polite” doesn’t work, and it never has. There’s an expression — “Nice guys finish last.” — that has been around for generations. Being nice is all right, but “It’s good to be a winner!”

The politicians were constantly holding us back in Viet Nam, saying that they were trying to win “the hearts and minds of the people” there. We grunts on the ground said, “Grab ’em by the balls and their hearts and minds will follow.”

Mychal – I wish I could crawl into your head and copy down all the words you know and take them with me! I LOVE the way you write. Couple that with your inimitable wisdom and what a guy!!

I want very much to know what I can do to be an active part in getting these values out there better. It feels we are obstructed at every turn, and you’re right….there is only so much letter writing one li’l red head can do! I would love to hear some suggestions from you and/or others with respect to what more one little person can do. I have a big mouth and lofty ideals, but do not express myself as beautifully and cogently as you. But I am IN the fight!!!

Mychal, I absolutely cannot stomache the idea of listening & watching Obama for another minute. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that “white guilt” would have elevated an unqualified minority to the demanding office of the once respected and demanding position of the United States presidency?

The misguided, two-term presidency of America’s so-called “first black president” has also opened our eyes to just how low many of our citizens have sunk as a society when discerning the qualifications of such a demanding position fit primarily for a truly talended, highly experienced and politically savvy leader!

The conservative movement as I once said in an earlier post, literally died with Ronald Reagan and William F. Buckley. The current Republican establishment is abounded by a number of spineless cowards who are too fearful of even recognizing their own shadow! They peddled the liberal mantra of”fear Of Offending” into an art form which literally cost the very distinguished, mildly combative Mitt Romney the presidency.

Instead, they bought into the endless diatribe of liberal lunacy of “disassociating themselves from the extremist right (The Tea party Movement)”! So those nominal conservatives who make up 40% of the staff at the Fox News Channel are simply yucking it up with their liberal constituents in regards to Obama’s stolen 2nd presidential election, with endless glees of “I told you so”!

As if the arrogant and snarky liberal loony opinions of the likes of Bob Beckel, Juan Williams and Alan Colmes were somehow emblematic of truth & virtue! These clowns along with fellow liberals Jemu Greene, Sally Kohn & Geraldo Rivera should not be taking seriously anymore than Barack Obama. Instead they all should be shunned and chastized as well as dismissed into the ashheaps of history!

The liberal Democrats have successfully crafted their phony tactic of giving the impression of trying to “reach across the aisle” while promoting the fallacious perception that they simply want to work with their conservative enemies.

With the aid of Justice John Roberts who literally upheld the legaliztion of the economically crippling health care mandatre “ObamaCare” into law, along with the never ending support of the teary eyed “House Crier”, John “Sniffles” Boener” and the corpulent Chris Christie, Obama was no doubt slated to maintain his lackluster presidency without a hitch! Christie will no doubt defect as a fellow Democrat while being primped & preened by his new mentor, Obama into obtaining the 2016 presidential seat for his new Democrat base!

Re: your comment ‘It’s imperative we fight smart and with a vicious intensity.’
For me, that’s a little mild. The conservatives need to realize that as long as they play ‘nice’, they need to be happy with being ‘number 2’ (in more than one way).
This is WAR. You don’t conduct war in a ‘nice’ way, you go into it to win. And in war, anything goes. The conservatives insist on taking the high road. Well that high road leads to defeat. We need to do what they do, only better, much better. And we know what they do very well.

Mychal, Positive and uplifting. And I haven’t got out the kleenex or curled up in a hole somewhere. Ground my teeth down a little perhaps, but nope, no kleenex. But, I am angry. I tried for almost 2 years, writting, emailing, and making phone calls to my Reps and to friends. It is not that easy to vote out the “bad guys”. Especially when your state is dark blue, and then finding out that only about 1/3 of the population even bothered to vote. My husband and I made up flyers. We have a small park across the street. Neighbors had ample time to be prepared for our “Tea Party” type gathering. Wahoo. We had a total of 6 people show up. We handed out flyers at church. If we got a response, it was either “I don’t care about politics”, or, “I don’t like Obama or the Mormon”. Yep, most people did not even know Romney by name. Just that he was a mormon. I understand that Romney was not the true conservative. And chances were, he might not have been a whole lot better. But I’ll take a “President” any day, over a “Dictator”. And I think those were our choices, as opposed to just a Democrat or Republican. So, I am ready to man-up, or in my case woman-up. lol But I guess I need some more directives from what we have previously tried. 2 years of phones being busy, or not getting a return call, and even in some cases, being hung up on after being told, “NO, I won’t relay any messages”. And all letters and emails I received, said the same thing, verbatim, wether it came from a Dem., or a Republican. (Just gotta love those pre-printed form letters they have supplied at the White House per the thousands, on any and all subject matters. So, any suggestions, other than what I have previously tried, would be greatly appreciated. But you can count me in for “Freedom 2014”.

pamela arnold: it took Phyllis Schlafly 10 yrs to defeat the ERA…during that time she also fought the wives of three presidents…we will win if we refuse to lose…and finally we must realize that the rnc and karl rove are not our friends…we must make it our mission to replace the republican leadership that has failed us for the last several presidential terms…

Apologies, I got off base. It seems as if the administration is throwing out sticks and people keep chasing them. Fast and Furious is hardly mentioned anymore, because we had 4 fellow Americans killed in Bengazi. Americans forgot about that when “Sandy” hit. For days that was all that was on the news. I hope these people realize that the gov’mint is incapable of taking care of them all. Fema had it’s door closed due to bad weather. If people can get into the mindset of being self reliant, this joker and others like him will never be elected again. Now the storm Sandy is a past bit of news because we have some 4 star Generals having affairs and one spending too much money. This reminds me all of my cat trying to cover up something stinky in his box. We should keep our eye on the ball and not be distracted by the sticks being thrown all around.

I watched the movie “Lion King” last night because someone told me that it parallels to what is happening now. Now this is a 1994 movie, but the Lion named “Scar” was obama and the hyenas were the ‘have-nots” that were Scar’s voting base/supporters.This additude has to be changed…somehow.

Another article that is right on! The election was a cross roads, but, if we loose this cover up we will have lost it all. If the RINOs are not voted out, like Boehner,Grahm,McCain, and quickly removed spokesman for conservatives, we will never re-establish our values.

I like your hopeful, positive message, but I don't completely agree. Conservatives running as conservatives don't always win.
