Ten Million Here, A Hundred Million There, Michelle Obama Vacations Continue To Add Up

On Tuesday, March 4, my syndicated Daily Rant was titled “Michelle Obama Dramatically Increasing Our Financial Hardship.” On January 31, in a syndicated Daily Rant I wrote an article titled “Michelle Obama: First Lady of Spending Taxpayer Money.”

This evening I would like to share even more staggering numbers of how Michelle is permitted to use our tax dollars as reward for staying with a person for political necessity and political gain.

Eric Owens, writing for the Daily Caller, lists expenses for Michelle Obama’s luxurious, tax-funded lifestyle that are beyond the pale of propriety for even an elected official much less for the wife of one.

Owens writes: “…The fist family’s sixth annual winter vacation to the Hawaiian island of Oahu – billed to American taxpayers at a cost of $4 million…” Owens also tells us that it cost the American taxpayers $11 million for the Obamas to attend Nelson Mandela’s funeral in South Africa. The amazing thing about that staggering amount of money is the Obamas were on the ground in South Africa for less than 13 hours. We now know the Obama’s earlier trip to Africa cost the taxpayers $100 million – complete with a Navy aircraft carrier off the coast of South Africa and a fleet of over 50 vehicles for the American contingent alone. It should also be noted that Obama’s trip to California to appear on “The Tonight Show” and meet with Democrat super-fundraiser Jeffrey Katzenberg cost taxpayers $2 million. The difference is that Obama was elected. Michelle Obama is a leech. She is the equivalent of a kept woman who flaunts what the other woman’s husband is doing for her.

Anyone who thinks the Obama woman is going to China for anything more than a luxury vacation is either in denial or intentionally delusional. Michelle Obama was not elected and has no right to abuse our tax dollars as she does. There is no legitimate or acceptable reason why someone in Congress with a backbone doesn’t raise the issue of her over-the-top spending – especially when Americans are unemployed with dim prospects for the future thanks to her husband turning America into a food stamp nation.

America doesn’t need for the Obama woman, her children, her mother, and her entourage to vacation in China at our expense. Let her go to Camp David or go back to Chicago. Let our tax dollars actually be used to spur the local economy for the few days she could visit there. Where does she go next? What are her plans for her next luxurious taxpayer-funded vacation?

For someone with her penchant for expensive massages and luxurious taxpayer-funded vacations, one would think her face would show fewer signs of wear and fatigue. Then again, maybe these are not wear and fatigue, maybe they are signs of her documented consumption of exclusive, expensive vodka and booze (also provided by the taxpayers) that are starting to show on her face.
