Comment Of The Week from John McClain
John McClain July 30, 2013 at 12:51 pm:
I have been active in the civil rights movement since my childhood, beginning activism at about ten, through our church, and continuing through to this very day.
I was raised by believe in the “universality of man”, and came of age having lived in Spain from 1 to 3, in Italy, from 3 to 5, and New Jersey to 7, and Massachusetts to 9, and Chicago through to 18, where I did most of my active engagement, having lived in egalitarian circumstances to that point in reaching Chicago.
While it was there I did the most “work”, it was sadly there where the least efforts to match those of Whites, active and engaged, and acceptance of Whites in the “struggle”.
I community organized some mile north, and perhaps a quarter mile west of where Barry Sotero would, some six or eight years later. The head of Youth Church was Dr. Leonard Pellegrino, mentor and professor for Saul Alinsky.
As a “communist hating” true dyed in the wool progressive, I found the ways of our leadership detestable, while working a truly worthy goal, knocking on doors and signing up voter registration for people who had never voted before.
During the seven or so years, I learned how the communists were so successful in turning people against each other, while actually doing “good works”, yet being able to make those good works support the achievement of hatred for those who initiated them.
It was disgusting to sit quietly and listen, knowing better, and seeing the hypocrisy used so carelessly since there were no challenges, while true good deeds were deliberately and carefully situated, and the ways planned by which they would in their delivery, demonstrate the “evil” of the very people delivering.
It is of the utmost crucial nature, we must note, the very best work ever intended, can always be used at a time, in a way, at a place, such that it pushes evil forward, and is worse than deliberate acts of evil, because it is “Godly” twisted to wrong, and a direct connection to the most fundamental means of deception.
It is exactly the means Satan deceived Eve in the Garden, using God’s words, but changing their positions, using inference rather than direct dialog, to suggest God was “deceptive”, in order to use God’s own words to the undoing of the whole of “Man” for all time.
