Do You Think John Makes Cogent Argument?
The following was proffered to a group of friends by John Brinson, who is a contributor to “Mychal Massie–The Daily Rant.” It was shared in reference to the madness that possesses the anti-Second Amendment, anti-firearms lunatics who crawl out of the woodwork after every act of gun violence that that can be exploited, like poisonous centipedes in a dark, damp cellar after every rain.
Notwithstanding that this was originally intended for just a few close friends musing between ourselves, I thought it would be interesting to have you share your thoughts on this subject as John has presented his argument.
Following are John’s thoughts. Use the comment section at Mychal Massie–The Daily Rant to share your thoughts:
Folks,
You policemen and lawyers should be interested in this. It’s a national problem.
Yesterday in America, 30 people died in traffic accidents caused by drunk drivers – DUI. Approximately 11,000 last year.
But, it gets worse, because an equal number died in drugged driving – DUID – accidents. Another 11,000 last year.
The total – 22,000 – is more than half the 40,000 highway deaths in the US each year!
“According to the study conducted by the Governors Highway Safety Association in partnership with the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility, 43 percent of drivers in 2015 that died in crashes had used a legal or illegal drug compared to 37 percent that tested above the legal limit for alcohol. The highest percentage of [drugged] drivers killed in vehicle accidents – 36.5 percent – had used marijuana.”
And now, Chuck Schumer wants to make marijuana legal, nationwide. Who’s running this insane asylum?
Here’s a proposed solution :
On first offense under DUI or DUID, loss of drivers license for one year, and mandatory weekly counseling.
On second offense, loss of license for five years. (These drivers are potential killers.)
On third offense, State Prison for One Year and permanent loss of drivers license. No exceptions.
(If caught driving – even if sober – while license is revoked, prison for one year and permanent loss of license.
