There’s No Excuse For Elected Blindness – Sunday Thought For The Day
I tell you to the shame of those who claim to be Christians, there are none so blind as those who will not see. My beloved brother who (with his wife) is a born again Christian missionary recently prayed the following: “Lord God continue to speak truth into the cesspool of our culture that some would be saved and those who continue in elected blindness will have no excuse when they fall before The Final Judge of Eternity.”
This brings me to my point. The airwaves, newspapers, and to their discredit much of Christendom will spend the next period of months consumed with who will be picked as the next Supreme Court Justice. That will also include those who will carry on grand and loquacious conversations regarding who next to elect to hold public office. They will give massive amounts of money to groups who claim they’re going to fight to save the Court and American politics, blah-blah.
I’ve been reminding those with ears to hear: There is no measure of alteration to God’s Word. The Psalmist makes unequivocally clear God’s Word is immutable and it is the demonic driven fool who believes otherwise.
I expect the world and the unsaved to chase after a pig and a poke. I expect the world and the unsaved to extol the godless, the liars, the frauds, the fornicators, i.e., I expect the world and the unsaved to pursue everything God condemns.
But, the Word of God tells His children to pursue the Truth of Christ and to be led by the Holy Spirit. With deep compassion, Christ said to His disciples: “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9;36-37) In brief Jesus is saying we are to focus on reaching the unsaved for Him, unto salvation.
I ask those of you who are possessed with the desire to give your time and attention to everything else, while playing I’m a Christian because I’m good; how do you reconcile these Words of Christ with your obsession to ignore and disobey God’s Word? I suggest you get right with God and the instructions of Christ while there is yet time, because the scripture reading for today is a firm warning, that only the truly deaf and blind will dare ignore as an impossibility.

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
