‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Sheep and Masks by Robert Socha

Many notable events transpire as I type. For example, the Canadian truckers’ descent on Ottawa in defiance of Trudeau’s dictatorial mask and vaccine requirements has inspired their countrymen to rise up and insist acquiescence. The truckers demand a return to pre-Covid19 sanity.

The masks are ineffective! Fauci himself declared this truth at the beginning of the hysteria, although they have backpedaled the statement, and I am having trouble finding a version online, I distinctly remember him stating masks are a virtue signal and then flip-flopping. And the New England Journal of Medicine echoed his virtue signaling sentiment: “It is also clear that masks serve symbolic roles. Masks are not only tools, they are also talismans that may help increase health care workers’ perceived sense of safety, well-being, and trust in their hospitals.”[i]

The redefined[ii]”vaccines” are ineffective! They do not deliver the advertised prevention. But, with over 17,000 doctors, just in these United States, voicing their opposition to their requirement’s propaganda, it is a beautiful thing to watch a man openly defy totalitarian edicts.

Truck drivers in Europe are organizing a rally to Brussels, demanding the European Union return to sanity. The French and Netherlands have begun similar convoys.

Truck drivers in Australia are also driving to their state capitals, insisting the totalitarian Covid rules declared null and void!

Truck drivers in these United States hope to galvanize 700,000 to descend on Washington, D.C., and remind our Executive and Legislative branches that they are in office to defend our rights, not infringe on them! If this gains momentum, I should join them.

Choosing to breathe freely is not the selfish act many outlets would have you believe. It is not inconsiderate. The opposite is true! Under great consideration, it is my hope to galvanize resolve that “we the people” return to our God given rights to live life without infantile treatment. The condescending pomp aimed at those of us who refuse to blindly comply and the regular silencing of opposing positions must needs be continually refuted!

Yet, this past weekend I witnessed a majority of our population cowed into submission so they could continue with everyday life. For example, I flew to Orlando to join my wife for a weekend reprieve. I was one of the select few brave enough to publically defy this administration’s draconian mask mandate imposed on public transportation. (We are over 700 days into this Covid madness. You have been exposed!) I walked into the airport and to the security checkpoint, maskless. The TSA guard who checked my ID asked if I needed a mask. Since I wasn’t there to cause trouble, I said that would be fine and took one he offered. I donned the facial obfuscatory device (because it is utterly useless for any other purpose) while going through the x-ray machines. Once inside the secured area, I removed my obfuscation, put my shoes and belt back on, and confidently walked through the terminal to my assigned departure. I proudly stood in the middle of the airport, declaring my facial Freedom without saying a word. Nobody confronted me. Nobody joined me. Many looked at me with confusion, some with condescension.

Undeterred, I continued my protest as the airport personnel invited us to board. I walked through the boarding pass scan and down the jetway to the aircraft’s threshold before a flight attendant gave me “the eye,” indicating I should submit to the ill-informed requirement. Once again, I donned the mask until past the trio and removed it again until I found my assigned seat.

Two-thirds of the way through the flight was the next time a male flight attendant reminded me of the erroneous requirement. Again, I acquiesced until he turned his back when I continued my silent, naked facial protest.

The man sitting next to me complimented me on the duration of my facial Freedom. My obligatory mask defiance continued through deplaning, the airport, and my taxi ride to Universal Studios, where I met my wife and some friends for a birthday celebration.

The amusement park’s loudspeakers blasted Orwellian demands that masks be worn in buildings and while waiting in line for rides, even outside. But, unfortunately, most revelers looking to stoke their adrenal glands with the park’s offerings ignored the blatant idiocy of such egregious requirements and submitted without any outward objection. It was a tremendous disappointment to me to witness my countrymen abdicating their Liberty for the titillation of their senses. Moreover, the conditions were incredibly idiotic since the park held Christian band concerts and allowed thousands of Worshippers to stand shoulder to shoulder while listening to their favorite artist perform live; maskless!

On the return trip to Michigan, my wife and I navigated the airport with our faces free. While queued to board the aircraft, we met a couple returning to their home north of Lansing. They, too, joined us in our defiance when they saw our boldness and refusal to comply with the mandates erroneously declared a law over the loudspeakers. We had a great conversation and could understand one another because we could witness the others’ lips’ movement; a vital asset in communicative ability.

The plane ride home was without incident. We made it home, uplifted that our small act encouraged another couple to exercise their rights to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

One thing that makes me utterly happy is traversing this planet without my face’s impairment. Maybe, if more of us would join in solidarity, following the 50,000 Canadian trucker’s example, and openly defied these illegal demands, those who imposed them would be compelled to rescind the orders, thereby releasing us. We could then engage health-related decisions with our minds and intellect, discerning the available information and choosing for ourselves the best path forward.

The funny thing about Freedom (especially the kind Christ provides) is that it kindles men’s hearts to act, stoking Liberty’s torch for all to see and embrace.
