Why Do We Fall For Satan’s Lies Of Condemnation? by “Brother Bill”

OVERCOMER’S GUIDE: Soooo, Why do we fall for Satan’s lies of condemnation ?
Let’s explore how Satan does it, why we submit, and what God’s Word (NKJV) says about it—all rooted in timeless truths.

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,
‘Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come,
for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.’”
— Revelation 12:10 (NKJV)
Satan doesn’t just accuse individuals before God—he accuses people and groups of people to each other. Media silos, social algorithms, and politically driven narratives often play into this tactic: The worse these fictional others can look, the more superior we can feel about ourselves, realizing that we accuse others of our own fears and desires.
• “They’re the problem, not you.”
• “They’re ignorant, evil, dangerous.”
• “They want to take what you have.”
• “They’re not like you—they’re less than you.”
These aren’t just political spins. They are accusations crafted to divide. So I have stopped listening to media on either side unless they present both sides.
2. Modern Tools of Ancient Tactics
“Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”
— 2 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV)
Satan’s Modern “Devices”:
• Algorithmic echo chambers: Only showing what inflames or confirms our biases
• Emotionally manipulated news cycles: Fear, outrage, tribal pride
• Dehumanizing language: “They’re sheep.” “They’re fascists.” “They’re brainwashed.”
• False moral superiority: “At least we’re not like them.”
These methods condition us to see others not as neighbors, but as threats or tools of the enemy—when, in fact, we’re all vulnerable to the same temptations.
3. Why Do We Fall for It? Projection & Pride
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23 (NKJV)
“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.”
— Philippians 2:3 (NKJV)
We’re vulnerable because:
• We want to feel morally superior.
• We project our fears and flaws onto others to avoid facing them.
• We’d rather blame than repent.
This is the ancient sin of the Pharisee:
“God, I thank You that I am not like other men…”
— Luke 18:11 (NKJV)
But, Jesus praised the man who said:
“God, be merciful to me a sinner!” — Luke 18:13
4. Media Silo Warfare Is Spiritual Warfare
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
— Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)
These media-driven divisions are not just cultural or political; they are spiritual battles over perception, identity, and truth.
The enemy’s ultimate goal?
• To make us forget our shared human weakness
• To prevent repentance and reconciliation
• To destroy unity in Christ and among nations
5. God’s Way: Unity Through Humility and Truth
“He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?”
— Micah 6:8 (NKJV)
God invites us to rise above the trap:
• Don’t join the accusations
• Don’t feed the pride
• Do walk humbly
• Do extend mercy
• Do seek truth, even when it convicts us
