‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

A Different Look At Father’s Day – Sunday Thought For The Day

I’m certain that there are people who wonder why I talk so much about the urgency for repenting and accepting Christ as Savior.  It is because there are no words to describe the agony and pain the unregenerate, unrepentant sinner will experience for eternity.

The human mind cannot grasp the reality of eternity.  Not even an eternity spent with God in heaven.  If we cannot grasp the magnitude of the sites and surroundings of being in the presence of our God in a place wholly untainted by sin, how much more so cannot we not imagine eternal damnation that is unending agony beyond anything we can remotely describe while we are yet alive.

I speak so much about the need to repent and except Christ as our Savior because I realize that every moment we reject God’s free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, a person draws one breath closer to the unimaginable horror of eternal damnation.

The thought of my members of my family and my friends dying unsaved frightens me for them;  because we can only be saved while we are alive.  The choice of heaven or hell,( which is eternal damnation), is up to us.  God has left the decision to believe, repent and be saved or to suffer in hell up to us.

My friends we take this reality lightly at our own peril.  I encourage you to heed the words of scripture regarding where we will spend eternity seriously.  Consider what would be the worst suffering you can envision; multiply that by infinity times infinity and you won’t have a clue what awaits those who reject salvation through Jesus Christ.  There are no do-overs, no second chances, if be reject Christ as our Savior.

We’re not saved based on our definition of what it takes.  The words of scripture are clear and immutable in Ephesians 2:8-10 (KJV):

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Today is Father’s Day.  If you are a father, how can you not want this free gift from God, for yourself and your family?  How can you not want to live a life of Godly righteousness and have an eternity in heaven with God our Father and our Savior Jesus Christ, for your family?
