‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

God Is Our Refuge and Strength – Sunday Thought For The Day

A couple weeks ago President Trump made a comment regarding his efforts to bring a lasting peace in the Middle East by defanging Iran.  His words went largely ignored.  He said something to the effect that, he was working to bring lasting peace to the Middle East.  He said, and again I paraphrase, that the peace would last, but at the end of the day he had only a short period of time in office left to accomplish his goal(s).   He went on to say that when he leaves office, if some weak, feckless Democrat or Republican is elected, they could undue everything he has done.

His words struck me as those of a man who understands that his mission is one ordained by God and that when he says we must pray and that America must turn back to God, he truly believes it.  I believe he understands more now than at any time in his life that he may be putting forth the effort, but at the end of the day, America’s future rests in the hands of God.

Which brings me to my point; like King David, we should need no other refuge than our trust/faith in the Lord. However well-meant and intended the advice of the faint of heart, like David we must consider it too full of fear to follow it.  And let there not be the slightest hint that I am calling President Trump weak, fearful or corrupt.

I am saying that the domestic enemies within America will use fear to undermine the work of President Trump.

I have read and steadfastly embrace every word and promise of scripture as factual truth.  If God protected His own in scripture then I know and am assured of His protecting me.  Let the foundations of the godless crumble; My family and I will rest upon God’s precious promises.

My support of President Trump may be unwavering and unapologetic; but, at the end of the day, I will look unto the Lord from whom cometh my help.   I will not trust in corrupt men or the science that amounts to little more than demonic sorcery.  I will trust only in the Lord.  Let all who agree with me say Amen.

Psalm 46 (KJV)

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
