‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

WND Weekly: About as civil as a prison riot

Politicians, by their very nature, are to some extent dishonest. But even using that low bar of opinion, liberal politicians are two steps below abominable. When the tea parties were formed two years ago, liberals, beginning with Obama, condemned us, mocked us and called us names – some of them calling us “tea baggers” after a homosexual act. Nancy Pelosi, following the liberal talking-point lies, accused us of being pawns bought and paid for by the rich. But today, these same people have warm and fuzzy feelings over the Wall Street protesters.

The protesters who are blocking and demonstrating on Wall Street and in cities across the nation are about as civil as a prison riot. They are a transpicuous example of a culture that has been schooled to condemn corporate America and the capitalist free-market system while demanding that government solve their grievances. They are behaving like the protesters and demonstrators of the 1960s.

Tea-party rallies are often described as picnics with speakers – and that is a very accurate description. At tea-party events there isn’t crude vulgar language; there are no people defecating in the streets, disrupting services, overturning and dumping trash containers and dumpsters; and there’s no property damage. Show me a tea-party rally where ralliers have been arrested – for that matter, show me a tea party where there is anything more than a cursory police presence.

Tea-party participants in the District of Columbia left the area cleaner than when they arrived. The people not only picked up after themselves, but they picked up trash that was there when they arrived. Tea-party groups have policed their ranks. The Wall Street protesters may have started out with questionably good intentions, but they immediately became the dominion of unions and Socialist Party members – some believed to belong to ACORN and other known anarchist groups. They have been enjoined by those paying people to protest who not only cannot read the signs they’re carrying, but cannot speak English. A question Obama and Pelosi might answer is, if tea-party rallies are comprised of extremist Christians, racists and terrorists – as they claim – why didn’t those elements enjoin us?

I have spoken at tea parties and I have attended them. They are rallies that housewives, grandmothers and mothers with children attend. The harshest threat heard is that we are committed to opposing increased taxes, government expansion, stimulus packages, government encroachment into our daily lives and electing like-minded representatives.
Tea-party people have jobs. When we attend a rally it’s at our own expense. If we arrive on a bus, it’s because we’ve pooled our personal resources to get a group rate. We aren’t bussed in by a union, nor are we gathered up at homeless shelters, soup kitchens or picked up off the street and given $5, a brown bag lunch, a sign, and told what to do and shout.

For Obama, Pelosi and other liberals to condemn the tea party and applaud the anarchy taking place is emblematic of their betise. For Obama to say they’re doing the right thing and that they’re frustrated because of banks and Wall Street, and because Republicans won’t pass his jobs bill, makes him as detestable as their actions are.

A blind person can see the duplicity of the selective approval Obama and liberals employ. Liberals have a propensity for embracing debauchery, disruption and evil, while condemning that which is civil and good. They attacked Sarah Palin as being out of touch because Palin supports stay-at-home mothers, is pro-life, and she supports her husband from a godly perspective. Liberals, on the other hand, support Whoopi Goldberg who brags about the number of abortions she has had. Liberals support open homosexuality and laws that forbid parents knowing that their 12-year-old daughters may be planning to have an abortion.

Liberals condemn children giving thanks for their food at a public school lunch table, but support homosexuals teaching sensitivity and how to put condoms on bananas, while twisting normal childhood thoughts/curiosity by telling them they’re probably homosexual.
Liberals support murderers like Stanley “Tookie” Williams and convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, but curse Justice Clarence Thomas and call Herman Cain an “Oreo cookie.” They condemned Bush for Iraq, but their silence is deafening concerning Obama’s invasion of Libya.

And now we have virulent anarchists causing already financially burdened cities to absorb the cost of their destructive actions. They should be looking for work and/or creating their own opportunities. This is an opportunity for Obama to show leadership, but he chooses instead to deflect their behavior as the fault of banks and Wall Street.

If these protesters had even a toehold in reality, they would be protesting the White House and Congress; if they think they’re having it rough now, they should think about what it’s going to be like if we cannot defeat Obamacare.

Take action and share this!
