Black 'Idiots' Respond To Olympics Champ
Color is the bugaboo that we just cannot escape – even and especially when it should be the least important thing discussed. Which brings me to the discussions that the ignorant, race-mongers are having pursuant to Gabby Douglas.
Miss Douglas has won two gold medals at the London Olympic Games. But in her case, winning two gold medals isn’t enough. The obligatory focus on the color of her skin by the politically correct, is sickening, but the ridicule she is receiving from blacks punctuates the statement made by Rev. James Manning that “black people are honorless, incorrigible idiots.”
Bob Costas would have never forgiven himself if he hadn’t rushed to make the point that Gabby was the first black to win Olympic gold in gymnastics. To which I respond – so flipping what? If she hadn’t won would he have said she was another black gymnast not to win? Placing the weight of focus on her as the first hyphenated American to win the gold medal in the most coveted title in all of women’s gymnastics is the poisonous mutagen of fools.
She won gold in a sport that has been historically dominated by the Russians and Romanians. She is only the fifth American woman in Olympic history to win gold in the all-around competition and the first American woman to win gold in both the all-around and the team competitions.
Gabby’s story is no more unique and inspiring than that of almost every Olympic athlete there. I’ve personally been involved, in one way or another, with Olympic athletes for over 20 years. I’ve been to the Olympic games and had planned to attend the London games. I personally know Olympic athletes who are participating in London and who have participated in the summer and winter games of the past. I am on a first-name basis with Olympic coaches from around the world and chief executives of the different Olympic regimens.
I’ve spent literally years in accumulated time, at Olympic training centers located around the country – and no – it had nothing to do with being in the media.
And I can tell you, without fear of contradiction, that every single Olympic athlete, and every single athlete who was unsuccessful in their quest to make an Olympic team, is a unique and inspiring story.
If the “incorrigible idiots” and PC bigots want to reference this beautiful young lady as a role model to other young girls, let them do it honestly.
The last thing young black girls should be looking at Gabby Douglas as is a black athlete. They should be looking at her as a young lady who had a dream, set a goal, and has spent her short life pursuing it.
She wasn’t hanging on street corners talking about her baby’s daddy and she isn’t a candidate for the Jerry Springer show. At school she didn’t need the school daycare center because the sweat beads on her brow are from hard work not a hot room with some gangster wannabe loser.
She should be recognized as a role model because neither before nor after she gave praise and her thanks to God Almighty, was she hanging out in the street, having abortions, doing drugs, or doing her best gangsta’ imitation.
She should be recognized because she is a lady and an athlete America can be proud of. But for the “incorrigible idiots,” that isn’t good enough. Black blogs and social sites are aflutter with harsh criticism of Gabby because they didn’t like her hair. That’s right – they castigated her because of her hair.
In their minds, Gabby Douglas was representing black women and her hair should not have been pulled back in a ponytail (like that of her teammates, I should note). I guess in their diseased minds, Gabby should have done her routines in flowing wigs like those of Beyonce and Oprah
Gabby Douglas wasn’t representing blacks and it is not only betise, but a contemptibly specious argument, to segregate her from the United States Olympic Gymnastic Team by suggesting same. She was representing The United States of America, and those colors are red, white, and blue. And as such, this young lady became the first “American” to win gold in the both the all-round competition and the team competition.
Gabby has been to places around the world that these faceless jackals couldn’t find on a map. Not only does she know who her father is, but she also knows he’s not some bum hanging out on the corner smoking crack wearing $200 sneakers somebody shoplifted. Which means her mother is woman with good morals and absolutes.
When someone mentioned to Gabby that she was the first black American to win the all-around gold she said, “Oh yeah, I forgot that” and laughed. She went on to say that she hoped to inspire people and that her mother had told her she could inspire a nation.
My reminder to this lovely young lady would be for her to tell people that inspiration doesn’t have melanin, but it does have integrity, and a belief in hard work, goal setting, and sacrifice.
That said, if not for the murdering of millions of unborn black children who knows how many black gold medal winners there would be.Click here for reuse options!
