Defy The Evil Usurpers by Robert Socha
The second impeachment of President Donald J. Trump failed in January 2020. Almost immediately, in February of that year, a worldwide virus became the topic of all discussion and the utmost importance. Those in authority imposed drastic lock-down measures deemed necessary to combat the virus’s contagious spread. Governments once thought to be beacons of liberty dawned tyrannical apparel and imposed the next best thing to martial law: stay-at-home orders.
The streets were empty. Great cities shuttered in unnecessary and unrealistic fear. Work-from-home became the motto, and some companies, especially governmental agencies, are still, four agonizing years later, trying to get their workplaces back to pre-COVID attendance. The impact of the reduced population traveling the highways and byways is a canninball run record of 25 hours and 39 minutes that will be difficult, if not impossible, to break.
We were lied to and coerced by fearmongering into submission. We were threatened and cajoled into surrendering to the most abstract and bizarre commands:
- Stand six feet apart.
- Do not gather in groups larger than whatever abstract number those in authority determine.
- Wear a mask, even if you are outside, alone at the beach, with a pleasant ocean breeze constantly cleaning the air; unless you are sitting down at a restaurant, then the mask isn’t necessary.
- Don’t question or complain. Comply, especially when taking anything produced by the pharmaceutical industry.
- If your job is not essential, don’t go anywhere.
- Do not shop at small mom-and-pop stores; big box retailers are okay to continue your shopping habits.
- Be sure to turn in your neighbor if you witness their noncompliance.
- The list goes on…
The aftermath of these draconian impositions is political theatre fueled by the abject hatred of the opposition, targeting anyone who dares to threaten or even question the usurper in chief. It was all designed to engineer social behavior and institute universal control.
Do not forget the horrific response we have endured these past three years, culminating in some of the most embarrassing and devastating political snafus in our country’s history:
- The ghastly Afghanistan withdrawal.
- Spiraling inflation anchored by the highest interest rates since Reagan’s first year in office, caused by the horrific economic policies of the last ineffective Democrat on Pennsylvania Avenue.
- Incoherent presidential addresses with a commander-in-chief who is regularly directed by the hand the correct way to go, and when he misses, the cue goes off untoward.
- Weaponized judiciary is attacking its political opposition.
- The forced acceptance of grossly immoral and unnatural ideologies that promote self-mutilation and the illusion of freedom, but its true nature is bondage.
- The list goes on…
I offer this encouragement. Stand fast. Do not allow the sensationalism of the day’s events to overwhelm your senses and cloud your vision. Look to the Author and Finisher of Faith, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and trust in His name that you may stand in that day. Be strong and courageous, and the next time tyrannical dictates flow from the halls of D.C., your state’s capitol, or even local municipal orders, you will have the courage to defy the evil and stand with those who would resist the devil.
