Demand Senate Republicans Not Let Obama Name Scalia's Successor
Apparently the Republican establishment thinks we are even dumber than they give us credit for being. The National Senate Republican Committee has sent an “Alert” asking people to sign a petition “telling Obama No” pursuant to filling Justice Scalia’s seat on the High Court.
The “petition” reads in part: “Stand with Senate Republicans: the American people deserve to have a voice in the selection of the next Supreme Court Justice. Join Senate Republicans in waiting to fill the vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court until after the 2016 election. Sign the petition to send a message to President Obama.” They then ask that we forward the petition to five people.
This is an as abhorrent act of disingenuousness as any that Republicans have pulled in recent years. It is a trick to: a) amass a mailing list; b) to circle back and ask for donations to fight Obama. Money that will ultimately go to their own coffers and to support candidates we don’t want.
It doesn’t take a petition nor does it take our money for Senate Republicans to do what they were elected to do. They are engaging in cheap theatrics while pretending they are acting in our interest.
It doesn’t take our signing a petition for Obama to know what we think of his filling Scalia’s seat.
There is no other way to put it than to say that Republicans are yet again attempting to insult our intelligence by lying to our faces even as they have already decided not to resist Obama filling Scalia’s seat. Less than 48 hours after Scalia’s passing, Senate Judiciary Chairman, Republican Chuck Grassley was openly saying he was not going to stand in the way of Obama’s pick to the SCOTUS. Headlines last week included:

• Key Senator Undecided on Hearing for Obama High Court (newsmax.com)

• Dems Predict GOP Cave on Scalia Replacement: ‘It’s Going To Be Déjà vu All Over Again’ (breitbart.com)

These are but a few of the thousands of headlines stating the same or similar. Democrats are confident to the point that Harry Reid’s office is openly boasting that Republicans will cave, and that Obama will fill the vacancy with complete cooperation from Republicans.
Republicans are feckless, spineless, eunuchs who serve to grant Obama his every wish. We have witnessed their treachery and betrayal for no fewer than the past 12 years.
We must not cooperate with them. We shouldn’t sign any petitions; we should storm Senate offices, especially those on the Senate Judiciary Committee with snail-mail letters and phone calls letting them know that we will crush them if they allow Obama to fill Scalia’s seat on the Court. (I personally like snail mail because they are forced to open and read those letters.)
Let them decide if they are more afraid of being called racist and obstructionists for doing their Constitutional jobs that they were elected to do or if they are more afraid of our wrath at the polls.
As I said in my VideoRant on Friday, February 19, titled: “Wanna Know Why Trump’s Winning?” their treachery is leading to their demise. This is our moment to drive a stake through the heart of a Party that has deliberately turned its back on us for their personal gain.
Being elected to a Congressional seat is better than playing the stock market. They enter office with barely two quarters to rub together and in short fashion they are multi-millionaires at our expense.
Now they are salivating at selling us out because they know that selling their votes to Obama is going to be like winning the Powerball jackpot. Do not buy into it. Reject their lies and petitions.
As I said, it doesn’t take a petition or our money for them to do what they were elected to do.
