Government Accountability Starts At The Oval Office
We didn’t need Obama and his cabal to prove to us how incapable government was at running things. But we did need him to show us how far an unrestrained government, led by ineptitude, lies, and failed policies will go to secure its position and control our lives.
Pretty much, with the exception of FDR, no president until this one, has been so willing to ignore the good of the country for the furtherance of an agenda that has no hope of succeeding. Obama’s claim to fame will be that he destroyed the economy and the country, but he got healthcare passed, homosexuals in the military, and strangled growth.
He has attacked business, advocating at every turn the need for government to control our lives. His wife is the very image of gluttony and yet she has the audacity to tell us not to eat french fries. He speaks to us of shared sacrifice while they jet-set around the world on our dime.
He has blustered and pontificated at every opportunity trying to convince people of the old adage that “that if a lie is told often enough it will become truth.”
But it is his arrogance, that is the most upsetting thing about him, followed very closely by his unparalleled willingness to lie. And now we see both of of these proclivities in the ongoing investigation of solyndra.
First of all he wasted our money – no, I correct myself, he stole our money and passed it around to his cronies and sycophants before Congress and/or the people had a chance to raise questions about it. Green technology and solar energy hasn’t worked, and I submit it won’t work on the scale he is trying to force it upon us until we have Buck Rogers in his rocket plane.

Obama was warned solyndra was not a sound company to invest the people’s money in, and yet he did. He was warned there was a strong likelihood he could be made to look bad if solyndra tanked as his closest advisors were advising him it probably would. But, due to his narcissistic arrogance, he puffed out his chest and did the phony parade around the business site while pretending to be interested. Sure enough solyndra has blown up and the spray from that outhouse is in his face.
Solyndra is like the small business he boasted about in Allentown, PA that closed its doors months after he did a photo-op thumping his chest at same. But that but that failure didn’t deter him, he’s back doing the media tour telling the slobbering interviewers he doesn’t regret squandering our money in solyndra for one moment and that he’d do it again. Prevailing wisdom believes Solyndra isn’t even the tip of the iceberg. Many, myself included, believe if Congress and the media does their jobs, it will be discovered that there are a significant number of similar failings and squanded taxpayer money.
I say, he should be impeached and indicted for knowingly taking our money – and then against all sound advice squandering it on the equivalent of an investment Bernie Madoff would have questioned. And then he tells us “heck yah, he’d do it again.” How much more of our money should we permit him to waste on his wife’s wildly expensive vacations, bailouts, and investments in technology that doesn’t work and that people don’t want. The responsible thing to do would be to reign in his EPA and allow drilling, mining of coal, and nuclear. That would create jobs and true energy independence.
Obama is a train wreck and he should be held accountable for creating a financial disaster. CEO’s of companies are being brought up on criminal charges for less impropriety.
Now he purposes to tell banks how to run their day to day when he and Dick Durbin are the reason banks raised debit card fees. People don’t need his intrusion, they can simply change banks. Failure has had many faces, but none more Erebusic than his.
With all that said, let me ask where the Republican Party is and what exactly they’re doing? Why are they so afraid to begin impeachment proceeding against Obama? Why are they so unwilling to do their jobs?
Holding hearings is the equivalent of doing nothing. They grandstand and blather in front of the camera and then leave for drinks over dinner. In the meantime we are shafted. It’s time we demanded good government and accountability.
