‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

H0w Does Satan Get A Foothold And Control Children? by ‘Brother Bill’

March 18, 2026

How does Satan get a foothold then control over people and what parents can do to save their kids from him?

Satan (also called the devil) does not typically “takes control” over people in the sense of full possession without some form of human cooperation or vulnerability. Instead, Scripture describes him gaining influence, a foothold, place, or opportunity through sin, unrepented attitudes, or lack of resistance. The Bible emphasizes personal responsibility—believers are called to resist him actively, and he flees when they do so under God’s authority.

The verse not letting the sun set on anger, giving Satan an opportunity from Ephesians. Here are the key verses that address how Satan gains influence or a foothold, along with related passages on staying angry can lead to vengeance. Hitler being rejected by a Jewish chancellor of art school and Gerings mother was the mistress of a Jewish man who took his family in and shamed his father:
•Ephesians 4:26-27 NKJV
“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Unresolved anger or wrath can give the devil a “place” (Greek: topos, meaning opportunity, foothold, or ground). Lingering bitterness or sin opens a door for his influence, temptation, or oppression.
•James 4:7 NKJV
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Satan gains no lasting control when a person fully submits to God and actively resists him. The implication is that failure to submit to God (e.g., through pride, worldliness, or sin) allows the devil room to operate.
•1 Peter 5:8-9 NKJV
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
Satan actively seeks vulnerabilities (like lack of sobriety or vigilance) to “devour” or destroy through temptation and attacks.
•Ephesians 4:27 (standalone for emphasis, as above) uses “nor give place to the devil,” often interpreted as not providing Satan any ground through ongoing sin (anger here, but the principle applies broadly to lying, stealing, hatred and envy etc., in the surrounding context of Ephesians 4).
•2 Corinthians 2:10-11 NKJV
…lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices like Dungeon and dragons casting spells .
(Context: forgiving others to prevent Satan from exploiting unforgiveness or division.)
Other related verses highlight Satan’s deceptive influence or temptation without implying automatic control:
•1 Peter 5:8 (as above) – he prowls and seeks openings.
•Luke 4:1-13 NKJV (Satan tempts Jesus) – shows temptation through Scripture-twisting and appeals to fleshly desires using subduction techniques , but through Jesus we can resist hiding Gods word in our heart with God’s Word.
•Ephesians 6:11 NKJV
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
(Emphasizes protection through spiritual readiness, implying Satan uses schemes/craftiness when people are unprepared.)
In summary, according to the NKJV, Satan gains a foothold or opportunity primarily through:
•Unresolved sin (e.g., prolonged anger, unforgiveness, bitterness).
•Lack of submission to God.
•Failure to resist him actively.
•Ignorance of his tactics.
The Bible teaches that believers have authority in Christ to resist (James 4:7; Ephesians 6), and Satan has no ultimate power over those who stand firm. Full demonic possession is rarer in the New Testament and often tied to extreme rejection of God, but influence/oppression can occur through everyday sins left unchecked. The key defense is humility before God, repentance, forgiveness, vigilance, and reliance on His strength. However in Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,fn against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Which Jesus said forgive them father for they know not what they do when they crucified him.
Here are some notable serial killers along with their stated motives or explanations they gave (often during interviews, confessions, trials, or letters). Note that these are what the killers themselves claimed, which may differ from expert psychological analyses (e.g., many experts point to deeper issues like power/control, sexual sadism, psychopathy, or trauma rather than the killers’ surface-level excuses). Stated motives can be self-serving, delusional, or manipulative.
•David Berkowitz (“Son of Sam”): Claimed his killings were commanded by a demon speaking through his neighbor’s dog (Sam), who ordered him to kill after pacs in games. He described it as following external supernatural instructions, framing it almost like a compelled “game” or mission beyond his control.
•Ted Bundy: In interviews shortly before his execution (notably with James Dobson), he blamed pornography (especially escalating violent porn) as a key factor that fueled and “crystallized” his violent compulsions toward women. He described it as an addiction that warped his desires, though many experts view this as a last-ditch attempt to shift blame or gain sympathy.
•Jeffrey Dahmer: Stated his murders stemmed from a desire for complete control as he felt dominated as a child, lonely and resented it—Evil demons took control he killed to prevent victims from leaving, often engaging in necrophilia, cannibalism, and preserving body parts. He described it as driven by loneliness, sexual urges, and an urge to “keep” people.
•Dennis Rader (BTK Killer): Explained his killings as tied to sexual fantasies involving binding, torture, and killing (his self-coined “BTK” acronym). He derived thrill and sexual gratification from the power and control, often taunting police for attention.
•John Wayne Gacy: Claimed some killings were linked to unresolved rage or control over young men/boys, sometimes tying it to his own abusive upbringing and repressed homosexuality. He described luring victims for sexual acts before murdering them to eliminate witnesses or assert dominance.
•Aileen Wuornos: Insisted many (or all) of her killings were in self-defense during her work as a sex worker, claiming clients raped or threatened her first. (Courts rejected this for most cases, convicting her of premeditated murder.) childhood rape sets up much of these Luke 17: Jesus Warns of Offenses
(Matt. 18:6, 7; Mark 9:42 )
1 ¶ Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!
2 “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
•Gary Ridgway (Green River Killer): Stated he targeted prostitutes because he hated them, saw them as easy victims, and wanted to “rid the world” of them. He described it partly as a mission-oriented drive mixed with sexual gratification.
•Edmund Kemper: Explained his murders (including of his mother) as rooted in deep hatred toward women, stemming from childhood abuse by his domineering mother. He sought power and revenge, describing a need to dominate and humiliate.
•Richard Chase (“Vampire of Sacramento”): Claimed delusions and hallucinations drove him—he believed he needed to drink blood to prevent his body from turning to powder and that Nazis were poisoning him. He killed to harvest blood and organs.
Experts often categorize serial killer motives more broadly (e.g., via FBI typologies):
•Hedonistic (thrill/lust/pleasure) — most common in sexual cases like Bundy or Dahmer.
•Power/control — dominating victims.
•Visionary Satanic (delusions/hallucinations) — like Berkowitz or Chase.
•Mission-oriented — “cleaning” society (e.g., targeting specific groups).
Many killers blend motives, and their stated reasons can be unreliable or post-hoc rationalizations.
So, if your faithful in a little or unfaithful it seems to let God or Satan in then the rest of our life is spent trying to get over the bad choices of our youth they all say. Neither Satan or God will let us go, so choose wisely. Don’t let your kids be raised by the internet, video games or a stepparents with ungodly intentions. Know their friends ,for their friends are their future. No I will vows, reading Saul Alinskys rules for radicals, grand theft auto,Dungeons and dragons spells ,magic or Ouija boards that open the doors to the Devil who seeks to and fro for whom he may devour.
Stay safe on your great adventure make shure it your children’s journey also. Blessings brother bill/dad
