Have You Stopped To Think? – Sunday Thought For The Day

The craft with which Satan has deceived man is often applauded as being that of a master, i.e., the shrewdest evil of the evil shrewd. I remind you, that God is “Truth” and anything that is not truth is a lie and all lies are of the devil.  There is no minimizing the definition of the word “all.”

Have you stopped to think how many people who identify as believers and followers of Christ are the spreaders of lies that separate people from God, but align them with the devil?  The subtlety with which people are misled cannot be overstated.

One of the greatest, most fiercely defended lies is the lie of evolution and all of the demonic permutations that it has given rise to and promotes.

The Word of God begins with an unalterable statement of fact: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1 KJV)  What follows is Genesis 1:2-2:25 (KJV).  Hebrews 11:3 (KVJ) makes the statement of fact: “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

If we cannot accept these verses as unwavering factual “Truth,” we cannot trust any part of the Word of God.  And it is precisely for this reason, that the enemy of our souls uses these verses to lead many astray.  They believe themselves to be pursuers of knowledge, which is exactly what the enemy wants them to think.  He wants them to think they know more than the Word of God.

We are not given the option to pick and choose what portions of Scripture we will believe or not believe.  Christ is the “Word of God” and He is “Truth.”  If any word is not true, then He is not true and if He is not true there is no truth.

That so many fail to grasp this reality speaks to the successful job the enemy has done in deceiving man that he knows better than the Word of God.  It takes effort and work to believe lies, because they have to be explained and redefined and made to change every time fact undermines the authenticity of the lies.  The truth needs no such agility.  It requires only faith and without faith it is impossible believe God’s Word much more please Him.
