‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

I Hope I’m Wrong

Nearly 20-years ago I said: “Politicians are akin to those persons who practice that which is conventionally referred to as the oldest profession.  Practitioners of the oldest profession will promise to be the very best right up to and until they have your money, (and in the case of politicians your vote as well), in their manicured paws.”  Those contending for the Holy Grail of politics, i.e., the presidency in 2028, are no different.

The job of those who engage in the “oldest profession” is to present themselves as the nicest apple on the tree so as to separate you from your money, your common sense presuming the mark had any to start with, and your dignity.  The difference between them and those who practice the same profession under the guise of political ascension, is that one robs you by the hour; politicians rob you by the decades.

You’re promised the world, but find despair when you wake from the euphoria of that which seemed like a sane idea at the time.

Consider the past administrations.  Say what one will, and regardless of party affiliation, Bill Clinton was an intelligent individual with near limitless potential who devolved into the political equivalent of Jethro Bodine with a college diploma, and the inability to control his lusts.  The end result was promises not kept, national disappointment and wasted potential.

George W. Bush had the cheering support of the conservative base because of his promises, and because of our expectation that he would be a conservative leader in the likeness of President Reagan.

The end result was the wasted good will of his base, a capitulation to liberals and their media, over-the-top spending, new levels of government bureaucracy and dependency, continued attempts to force amnesty for those who violated our sovereign borders, and the dismal failure of “No Child Left Behind,” to mention but a few.

The bottom line is that promises were made by both of those liars that America and her citizens would be better off with them sitting in the Oval Office.  Said promises are not unlike promises made by escorts and streetwalkers, who promise that the more you spend, the better you’ll feel in the morning.  The cold truth is that in both instances, disappointment abounds and continues to abound because of their mediocrity and indifference.  And then came Obama followed by Biden.  What else need be said?  Obama was akin to the promise of something beautiful in the dark of night, that well…looked like his wife in the light of day.  And Biden epitomized the poster that said, “I not here to please you, I’m here to rob you.”

But, the aforementioned were all foreplay.  Now we have an onslaught of radical Muslims who are nothing more than terrorists in fancy clothes and hardcore Leninists who are making no pretense of their commitment to convert America into a Communist state.  Each comes to us selling promises and assurances that he or she is better than the others.  The question they fail to answer is: Exactly what will that change wrought?

Collectively they have a proven track record of contempt for the truth and unparalleled support for unseemly behavior.   They are contentious, egocentric wannabe potentates with proven records of discord.

They’re not hiding their diabolical plans for America if they are elected.  They only hide the outcome of their plans.  Like Mamdani and his America-hating wife they are telling us what they intentions are, but not the culmination of those plans.

The only thing that has stood in their way thus far, has been President Donald Trump.  Remove President Trump from the seen and Biden would have won reelection, and by now have stepped down for health reasons, the result being a Harris presidency.

Had Donald Trump not won his first term and then won again 2024 we would being living under a Communist Democrat regime unlike anything ever witnessed in America.  So-called Republicans like Rove, Thune, and the backstabbing cabal in the Senate would have sold us out in a quick minute to these radical Democrat Communists.

The scary part for those counting on Republicans to do the right thing, is that by 2030 barring God’s infinite mercy, I believe the radical dems, Muslims and Somalis will be in control of Congress, if not the White House.  All of the good work President Trump has done will be trodden under foot.

If I am right and I pray that I am not, that will truly be the time we say, “Come Lord Jesus.”
