‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

IMPORTANT NOTE ROBERT SOCHA WILL BE BACK NEXT WEEK: They Did Not Repent by RoseAnn Salanitri

August 26, 2021

Repentance is a recurring theme in the Bible.  In the Book of Jeremiah, the Israelites were repeatedly warned that if they did not repent of their unrighteousness, including the shedding of innocent blood, that destruction would fall upon them.  They didn’t listen and the Babylonians soon conquered them and burned Jerusalem to the ground.

The Bible in the Book of The Revelation admonishes the seven churches to repent. But it is in the Book of The Revelation (9:20-21) that the lack of repentance has horrific consequences for the survivors of God’s anger that is manifesting itself in geological upheavals and weather terrors.  Although the geological consequences for their sins was foretold, they did not repent of their evil doings.  While this may seem odd, since the prophecies are clear and seeing these things happen should be bringing them to their knees, there may be something else at play that has fogged their minds. Of course, their lack of biblical knowledge plays a key role – but there may still be more.

As you probably know, the Book of The Revelation has been around for nearly two millennia.  But Biblical scholars and holy men and women aren’t the only ones who are able to read its prophecies.  The accuser of the brethren is also able to read, and the last thing he wants to see is repentance, simply because repentance robs him of the souls that may be in his grasp.  And regardless of the sins of the unrighteous, true repentance covers them with the Lamb’s Blood and sanctifies them for the kingdom. This equals plus one for the Kingdom of God and minus one for the dominion of hell. To the unregenerate and vindictive Satan, this is not acceptable. It is often said that misery loves company.  For Satan that is true, but his vindictive nature wants more than company in hell. He wants to rob as many souls as possible from the Kingdom of God.

Let me be clear.  I am not privy to the inner workings of the mind of Satan, but I can put two and two together.  And when I do, I can’t help but wonder if the climate change argument is Satan’s excuse for the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. I’m not disputing that weather and geological changes are occurring; I am saying that based on prophecies, these changes are not due to our carbon footprint but to our escalation of the acceptance of sin. God is calling us to repentance, but few are listening. As the Gospel is being preached around the world, our expectations regarding the return of Christ should be prevalent, with the saving of souls being our prime objective. However, according to the Pope and the climate change globalist cabal he is constructing, our “common home” and protecting it from ourselves should be our prime objective.

In the Garden of Eden Adam was assigned the responsibility of caring for the Garden and the life within it.  And those of us who regard God’s assignments should be on board with that. The perversion of this directive can be understood in Romans 1, where the worship of the creation as opposed to the worship of the Creator leads to all kinds of sins, as can be witnessed in the world today. While the Pope and the climate change gurus may have noble objectives (which I seriously doubt), their main concern should be the current state of unrighteous lawlessness that prevails worldwide.  Again, it is not our carbon footprint that will lead to destruction; it is our failure to worship the Creator and obey His principles and precepts that is destroying America and the rest of the world. Yes, it is our responsibility to save the planet in any way possible, but it is astronomically more important to save souls. For this planet will pass away but the Kingdom of God is eternal. Jim Elliott, who was killed in South America while serving in missions, once said:  “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” Elliott understood the value of eternity as opposed to the brevity of this life. As this world decays and passes away as the Apostle Paul so aptly stated, let us focus our attentions on eternity and serving as God’s tool to harvest as many souls as possible. In so doing, may the Spirit of our Almighty God anoint us with wisdom and opportunity, so that on that fateful day we will hear the words “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
