It’s Time To Seriously Consider Term Limits; Even Though I Hate The Idea
Approximately 14-years ago during an on-air panel discussion pertaining to the value or lack of value per term limits, I made the following “for the sake of debate comment”: “Strict term limits would in theory return the power to where our Founding Fathers intended, i.e., to We the People. Strict term limits would limit the amount of influence lobbyists have over both sides of the aisle.” Albeit, then as now, I remained diametrically opposed to any formal introduction of congressional term limits.
I maintain two reasons for my opposition to term limits:
1) We already have term limits that voters refuse to utilize. Senators serve 6-year terms and Congressmen serve 2-year terms. My belief has been and remains if voters exercised responsible diligence, we could put the trash out of office after one 6-year or 2-year term. I still believe the overwhelming number of voters want term limits because they are unwilling to be responsible participants in our Republic for of government.
2) Actor Danny DeVito’s character opined one of the classic truths of all time in the movie “Other People’s Money” when he said: “Change all the laws you want, but you can’t stop the game. I’ll still be here – [I don’t go away] – I adapt.” Great line, absolute truth – however, by changing the laws, we can minimize the harm they do and lengthen the period of time it takes them do it.
The reason I’m now willing to support term limits is, to curtail the backroom treachery of the Karl Rove and Bush family one world government globalists who are not only betraying President Trump, but who are going to destroy everything he has done for America and the world as soon as he leaves office, unless Americans elect another “pro-America — best interest of We the People” President.
In all candidness, I don’t hold out much hope for term limits ever becoming law. For same to happen, it would require passage of a Constitutional Amendment or the equivalent vote vis-a`-vis a Constitutional Convention. Said passage requires a two-thirds yes vote. The machinations of either would make the Battle of Inchon seem like an afternoon game of horseshoes in your backyard.
Politicians are for the most part the lowest of bi-pedal lifeforms. They’re Erebusic elapids from the pit of hell.
There is zero incentive for these creatures to jeopardize their means of grifting. Staying in office until they die has become a time honorable pursuit for them. They stay in office until they die and then have the flag they cursed and betrayed lowered to half-mast. Mitch McConnell, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Rand Paul et al would rather rot in hell than leave office while they’re still coherent and marginally ambulatory.
The thought of turning to term limits to manufacture the means to do what our Constitution provides for as a matter of course is, disgusting to me. Especially, when our Founding Fathers have provided for same based upon term limits already in place.
But, it should be glaringly obvious to even those with a single digit IQ, that the Rove-Bush cabal, the Iranians, Republicans and Democrats alike are slow-walking President Trump’s agenda, and when they aren’t outright opposing his agenda. They know they can pretend to be supporters of M.A.G.A. and President Trump, which allows them to profiteer from his agenda while secretly undermining his agenda at every turn. Evidence: Thomas Massie, John Thune, Mitch McConnell, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lisa Murkowski et al.
I have been arguing and warning from day one of President Trump’s second term that this was the saboteurs game plan. The leftwing so-called conservative media is complicit in the betrayal of our President.
President Trump is working for you and I, and allowing the Lord tarries, whatever future America has left. I’ve watched this game being played before, specifically with President Reagan.
I warn you, not because I’m in favor of term limits, but because as I see it, they’re the only safeguard against what the Rove/Bush and FoxNews cabal are planning. President Trump is strictly limited to two 4-year terms. The insidious swamp-dwelling apparatchiks can afford to milk the cow on both sides of the fence, because they know when President Trump is gone they will still be around engaging in the same treachery that pads their bank accounts, gives their family members jobs, sends their children to the elite Universities, ad nauseum.
For them it is a game with massive benefits. We the People are the suckers and the useful idiots that lubricate the wheels of their flim-flam machine. It is time we wake up. God and country are what we have left, and let there be no doubt whatsoever, the one world globalists are intent upon destroying our country. They cannot harm God, but they can turn the weak, biblically illiterate and the biblical atheists away from Jesus Christ who is God’s only plan for our salvation.
