‘I Feel the Presence of The Lord’

"I Feel The Presence of The Lord" is a personal collection of devotions intended to encourage the reader to seek and see the Lord in every aspect of their life.
The enemy of our souls would have us subscribe to the mentality of being endlessly busy, and therefore it being excusable to relegate God to a Sunday morning church service, if that. Thus, many in our churches today are powerless Christians and/or Christians in whom faith and fellowship with God is sorely wanting.
I Feel The Presence of The Lord is not just a book to be read as part of our daily devotions. It is a collection of thoughts and instructions to inspire the reader to meditate upon the Lord and His Word.

Let’s Talk About Vivek Ramaswamy by Rich Kozlovich

There’s been a lot talk about Vivek Ramaswamy, so I think we need to dig more deeply into the history of who this man is.

On August 19, 2023, Andrea Widburg posted this article,  Love him or hate him, Vivek’s interview with Tucker Carlson was fascinating saying:

Love him or hate him, Vivek Ramaswamy is an interesting person and a different voice in the Republican presidential primary campaign season. This doesn’t mean concerns about him aren’t legitimate, especially when it comes to possible ties to George Soros. If Soros is the real power, we’re looking at yet another Manchurian candidate, this one on the right not (like Obama) on the left. Still, Vivek is gaining support, so I sat down and listened to his interview with Tucker…and there was a lot to like.

Her piece was largely positive, and I really like the idea he supports:

repudiating the Wilson Doctrine, first announced in 1917. That doctrine holds that it’s up to America to make the world safe for democracy. Vivek and Trump have a different take: It’s up to America to make the world safe for America. Democracy abroad goes a long way, but it’s not the be-it-and-end-all.”

That resonates with me, since Wilson was a blatant fascist who while claiming to be doing everything to keep America out of the European conflict, was in fact doing everything he could in the background to get American into that blood bath.  Wilson was a globalist and believed the Constitution was an impediment to human progress, and acted as if it didn’t exist during WWI.

But we need to see past those things he says we like, and realize there’s a lot about Vivek that’s disturbing and needs to be more deeply explored.   Today August 21, 2023 James Lewis posted this piece on American Thinker, Vivek’s two duds, saying:

I like Vivek Ramaswamy very much, because he is bright, talented, and has good ideas. Except for two bad ideas, both having to do with small but formidable long-time U.S. allies — which would be Israel and Taiwan. Vivek wants to dump those two alliances….

He goes on to explain why that’s just a little bit bothersome saying:

Neither Taiwan nor Israel are throw-away allies. I don’t know if Vivek is quietly trying to curry favor with China or India, or with jihadist states like Iran and Saudi Arabia. I do know that Vivek is an extremely smart and strategic candidate, and that he has many good ideas.  So why those two duds?

What we have here is a man no one heard of a few weeks ago who is polling higher than the former Vice President, and tying or beating a current Governor of Florida in polls in some states.   He’s openly criticized the Justice Department’s persecution of Trump, yet it appears that’s only his “latest narrative of the moment”, since just last year he had a seriously different take on Trump and the validity of the election.  He’s already had an issue with flip flopping, Vivek Ramaswamy Calls Juneteenth ‘Useless’ 2 Months After Posting a Video Celebrating It.  He refused to state Biden was elected via voter fraud, which should be the shibboleth for every candidate who claims to be a true conservative running on the GOP ticket.  If they don’t have the guts, knowledge, and toughness to accept that easily dependable position, they need to go home and leave the country to someone who has the guts to do it.

He’s smooth, erudite, knowledgeable, and saying all the things conservatives really like to hear, but who exactly is this guy, and what does he really believe?   The more he talks, the more it seems all this conservative tone is nothing more than a smoke screen to hide who he really is, or would be. I’ve found him to be an off putting, kinda like a snake oil salesman.  I just have a bad instinct about Ramaswamy, and there are red flags to justify that feeling.

He wants to increase legal immigration, he thinks transgenders are just fine in the military, and wants to bring America into the Trans-Pacific Partnership.  So, let’s see a show of hands on how many conservatives think all that’s a really good thing for America?

He was part of the covid vaccine scam, and his part in that story is very troubling, including his alleged business acumen, which includes some strange stock dealings with his Strive Asset Management, supposedly created to battle ESG initiatives, but looks more like a scam.

Then there’s his Soros Fellowship and his 2021 selection as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, his companies’,  (He claims he didn’t agree to that and it was a mistake by the WDF)  his partnership with Chinese firms, and he paid someone to scrub troubling information from his Wikipedia page before declaring.

Does anyone beside me think it’s profound, provocative, and troubling he found it necessary to hire someone to scrub his Wikipedia page?

Mediaite, which first reported the alleged payment, said an editor with the screen name “Jhofferman” had removed lines about Ramaswamy’s receipt of a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans in 2011, as well as his role in Ohio’s COVID-19 Response Team. Jhofferman reportedly deemed the fellowship as “extraneous material,” while Ramaswamy allegedly made an “explicit request” to remove his COVID work.

As I’ve said, this guy is really impressive giving the impression he “is” America’s Real McCoy conservative.  But is he?  On February 22, 2023 Jordan Schachtel posted this piece, Vetting Vivek Ramaswamy, on his Dossier substack, and his background send up some serious red flags involving Soros, the World Economic Forum, these covid vaccines, and his business relations with China, and more. Schachtel ends his commentary with this:

What’s the real agenda? It seems that Vivek Ramaswamy knows full well that he will not actually be a serious contender for president. He has already spoken about wanting to merely be able to make the debate stage. His campaign website does not discuss his platform in any detail at all. It only shares clips of his media appearances and it is largely nothing more than a donation page.  What is Vivek Ramaswamy actually running for? First, maybe we can get some more clarity about who this man really is and what he believes.

What he actually believes, and what he’s saying may not be who he really is, and once again, I have a bad gut feeling about him.   President of the United States?  Get real. The best he can hope for is a position in a second Trump administration.  But not too big a position.  Personally, I think he just might be a mole, and the trouble with moles is you don’t know they’re moles until it’s too late.
