Michelle Obama Dramatically Increasing Our Financial Hardship

[box type=”tick”]We the People of America are the ones who paid $10 million in 2010 for her lavish vacations.[/box] Michelle Obama was not elected to office, and while, by definition, her husband did not usurp the position he dishonors, his self-aggrandizing, bigoted wife is usurping authority and inflicting additional financial injury upon an already suffering people.

Michelle Obama’s latest foray into the public spotlight was last week when she announced “her”— “proposed changes to U.S. food labeling rules that seek to tackle the fact that the average serving sizes used to calculate calorie intake have lost track with the reality of modern American appetites.” She coldly stated, “This will be the new norm for providing consumers with the information they need.”

She attempted to justify her using the FDA to sanction her whims by saying, “We first launched Let’s Move four years ago, [and] all of us here today were driven by a simple belief: that parents deserve to have the information they need to make healthy choices for their kids.” She continued, “This isn’t a particularly radical idea; in fact, it seems pretty obvious.”

[adsanity id=8405 align=alignleft /]I’ll tell her what “isn’t a particularly radical idea” which “in fact, seems [darn well] obvious” and that is if her husband had economic plans that worked — families would be able to eat healthier. Eating healthy and buying wholesome food products isn’t cheap. I shop for one person, me, and I am still hard-pressed to keep my food budget at a reasonable, weekly amount.

Budget grocers do not carry the same quality products across the board that the more expensive grocers carry. Ergo, thanks to the economic malaise, many families are unable to eat as healthy as they could if they had the money.

As I stated in my “Daily Radio Rant” Friday of last week, there are 92 million Americans unemployed. America has officially become a food stamp nation with 50 million Americans receiving food stamps thanks to Obama’s miserable economic failings. In the fourth quarter of 2011, 49.2 percent of Americans received government subsistence on some level. Families are still suffering from the mortgage meltdown. I could go on ad nauseum.

Conjunctive to her husband’s domestic economic failure is the increased cost of fuel for which he is directly responsible, and which, has led to dramatic cost increases in food and products across the board.

Now she is adding more unnecessary financial burden to already suffering families. The cost of implementing the sweeping labeling changes she is responsible for is well over a billion dollars, and that is just a low-ball estimate to silence the critics. The final cost of implementing the labeling changes she is forcing the FDA to make, I submit, will be north of 2 billion dollars. All of which will be passed back to you and me, the consumers.

As, the wife of Obama, she is able to enjoy the spoils of his position, but, as I pointed out in a previous column, the DailyMail.com UK reported a top source “told the National Enquirer that [Michelle is] disgusting. We the People of America are the ones who paid $10 million in 2010 for her lavish vacations. We the taxpayers are the ones who pay for lavish five-star hotels, the most exclusive and expensive vodka that she cannot do without, as well as for her expensive massages. It is We the People of America who are paying the $1.4 billion-plus that it cost to maintain her and her family’s extravagant lifestyle (which is far more than we’ve paid for any other presidential family). Michelle Obama lives in a $35 million mansion that was purchased for her and her family by billionairess Penny Pritzker who is heir to her father’s vast holdings which include the Hyatt Hotel chain.

It would be barely tolerable if Michelle Obama would stick to doing jumping-jacks and writhing around on the floor of Ellen DeGeneres’ set, much to the delight of DeGeneres. After all, who wouldn’t want the First Lady of the United States wallowing around on the floor of their nationally televised talk show? It proves that you can make a black woman the first lady, but that doesn’t mean she will have any class.

American families do not need the additional financial burden her labeling edict brings. The American people need for the Obamas to be gone.[adsanity id=11817 align=alignleft /]
