No Guns or SUVs Were Injured
Are the anti-gun lunatics too stupid to realize that depriving Americans of their Second Amendment right to own and carry firearms, will not stop the criminals from owning, carrying, and using theirs. Or, are they just relentless neo-Leninists committed to the abrogation of the Second Amendment in toto?
I argue that by definition they are stupid; but its not ipse dixit to say that they are relentless neo-Leninists committed to the complete abrogation of the Second Amendment.
They are also selective in their feigned moral outrage when shootings take place. Let some wannabe gangsta’ with fake dreadlocks wearing stolen Nike sneakers, shoot-up a playground and they are quieter than tombstones in graveyards. Let a white youth from a zip code considered to be in the upper economic strata, who is out of his mind on doctor prescribed psychotropic drugs because supposedly as a child he couldn’t concentrate, and the cacophony of cries for stricter gun control becomes the primal.
Let some punk gangsta’ with a stolen gun deliberately shoot and kill a police officer and the media withholds information about the skin-color of the shooter. But let an older white man shoot and kill a wannabe “Tupac” and it is around the clock news that “white man guns down poor African-American youth.”
Children are sent home from school for wearing a charm-bracelet that has a tiny pistol charm on it. Little boys are sent home from school for anything that remotely, in liberal minds, is gun related irrespective of how innocuous. Then they boast about “zero tolerance.” What about we push for zero stupidity?
Saturday evening, my wife and I attended a “CigarBQ” at our friend’s home. It was exactly what the name indicates – cigars and BBQ. It was a relaxed evening with the numerous BBQ items smoked in his smoker. There were dozens of different craft beers and homemade wines all made and brewed by my friend who has taken home-brewing to another level. It was a family gathering. Families brought their infants, small children and teenagers. Our friend’s son was the disc-jockey; the children enjoyed running and playing the various yard games. Conversations that I engaged in were casually political, but mostly we talked about cigars and guns.
That’s right!! There were moms, dads, small children, a dog, drinking and guns. Many of the men and the women who gathered that evening were licensed to carry. My friend, like many of us is a huge firearms enthusiast. There was probably 70 people at the gathering. And as I said there were also guns, cigars, and craft brews, and yet not one firearm jumped out of the holster it was in and shot someone, despite the conversations about guns. I did not see one person handling their sidearm. Despite the many conversations taking place about guns and cigars.
There were SUVs, and pickup trucks that came tricked out from the factory. Not one of the SUVs or pickup trucks decided to attack the sedans that were there. This again, despite the countless times we hear progressive reporters breathlessly telling us that an “SUV plowed into another vehicle.”
Facebook is trying to censor all firearms advertising. But schools have homosexuals in to surreptitiously brainwash children from kindergarten to fifth grade into believing they are homosexuals and/or desensitizing children to homosexuality by trying to convince them it is normal.
The annual event at our friend’s home reminds me of the family gatherings when I was growing up – food, good conversations, families, children, alcohol, and guns. And yet, just as with Saturday evening, there were no shootings and no arguments, despite there being all of the ingredients that neo-Leninists claim are bad. There were fatty foods, butter, craft brews, firearms, cigars, cigarettes, and there were no separate containers for recycling — and despite what leftists claim — the world didn’t stop spinning. There were no fights, no arguments, and no child or adult was traumatized. Women also smoked cigars and carried on conversations about their firearms and firearm collections. As it grew dark, there was a family movie for the children that didn’t contain cursing, sex, homosexual behavior, and/or anti-American sentiment. The children, and moms and dads who chose to enjoy the movie with them watched it under the stars.
Which brings me to the point of this piece. Which one of the more than 22,000 gun laws protected us Saturday evening? What part of the neo-Leninist zeitgeist that today tells us the above-mentioned things are deadly and dangerous, harmed anyone at the gathering? Which of our children were damaged by being in this family setting juxtaposed to being in a government-indoctrination center where elementary school children are told they are homosexuals?
There is a reason that there were fewer crimes and closer-knit families before Jimmy Carter, Hillary Clinton, and Obama decided their kind knew what was best for our children and families. It is because our parents’ generation actually did know what was best for us. As children we were instructed to model propriety, not gangbangers, hoodlums, and harlots.
Regardless of all of the debauchery and lies the leftists try to force upon us, Saturday evening we proved yet again that inanimate objects cannot and do not harm you. People harm people; even most accidents that happen at home can be avoided if we pay attention and exercise safety and common sense.
Sadly, most of the black people complaining that the police are out to get them either die or are injured in their own homes by people they know. Neo-Leninists have yet to establish the fact that depriving law-abiding citizens of their Constitutional Rights and the codification of punitive anti-individual rights laws has done anything but oppress the law abiding.
